It seems you all have quite a few teenagers populating this forum lately. ☕

Hmmmm, but could it be that one chooses to be malicious precisely because they fear their own true nature? Does evil not exist as a rejection of love, unity, and nobility?
Perhaps there is a deficiency of love in such a person, or perhaps finding such love is simply too difficult for them.

P.S. He defaced a textbook by marking it with black ink, cutting through the pages with a compass, and burning the images of Jesus Christ and Buddha. 🙂

I suppose I should have just asked if this was all just typical teenage rebellion? ☕

Ronald Rogers27 said:I misspoke earlier. I was talking about a fable—you know, animal characters with human traits. The whole story is symbolic, not literal. 🤣

Look, I know cows can't fly, that much is certain. As for whether they can swim? Who knows. Probably. 😂

Though, the idiom "cow on a clover patch" just doesn't sit right with me. 🙂

I get all that, really, but a buddy of mine actually has a tortoise and a rabbit, so we went out to see how that dynamic plays out in real life. The verdict? It doesn't work at all.👍

I suppose I should address what shadowtrucker18 mentioned earlier. It’s an interesting perspective, though perhaps a bit narrow in its scope, if I may say so. There is a certain logic to it, I guess, but one might argue that we aren't looking at the full picture here. Maybe.
Ronald Rogers27 said:Think back to that old fable about the tortoise and the hare—except in this version, the tortoise actually wins. How are you supposed to race against hares when you’re just an average tortoise? 🤷

The whole thing with the bee and the Scorpion is a massive lesson. It's like my work with alligators. Some of them can practically fly, some are constantly snapping at you, and others are just dead to the world during their winter sleep. I guess the secret to getting along with them is knowing who's looking out for whom.

When you're dealing with flying alligators, you better learn how to fly too. If they're snapping, you might have to snap back. And if they're sleeping? For heaven's sake, just leave them alone. 🙏

In relationships like that, you only get one chance to mess up. 🙄

That isn't even the core issue, really. The real headache is figuring out how to actually explain to them which side they ought to be taking. In every single experiment we’ve run up to this point, everyone just sort of drifted off toward their own respective sides, completely indifferent to the direction we were trying to steer them. I guess it's more of a communication hurdle than anything else, maybe.

I suppose there comes a point where one has to accept that risk is an inherent part of life—like the moment a turtle actually decides to snap at a rabbit. That isn’t exactly something you could just brush off as trivial. And then, naturally, you’d have the rabbit bolting under the bed, disappearing into some dark corner where, frankly, not even the most determined soul could ever hope to coax it out.

🤷
I suppose you should just let the kid grow up on their own.

You see, we didn't really approach this in a professional manner. We just sort of jumped in right after high school, and that's where things went sideways—I suppose I was just misinformed by my wife about one particular college program.
I suppose that’s just what they call puberty, and eventually, it’ll pass.
I suppose a little bit of friendly self-criticism wouldn't hurt anyone.
In short, we should probably just put them all in internment camps so they stop being such a nuisance. 👍
I suppose I’m the villain here. People tend to be rather unkind, and since I don't exactly fit the mold of a saint, well... that's just how it goes, I guess.
Maybe you should just check with your doctor or actually read the fine print on the label? I mean, we aren't pharmacists or anything; we’re really just amateur poison testers at best.

So, I suppose that means you aren't actually suffering from true insomnia 😬

I can’t quite recall which dentist I was seeing previously, and since I've already handed over my paperwork, I'm now a bit unsure about who I should bring this specific document to. I suppose I could try tracking them down myself, though I wonder if the office would be able to locate his records on their end instead?

But I do know my way around a medical billing code!

Personally, I find it somewhat regrettable that we aren't permitted to receive our own files just to look through them. I suppose one might wonder if I even have the right to view my own record at all. 😢

This whole "weighting factor" business just adds unnecessary baggage to the conversation.

Because, frankly, there are some of us here who don't see any particular weight or tragedy in the matter at all.

I mean, he's acting like some kind of philosopher here.🙂

Exactly.

Maybe you should just try it yourself and see how it goes; I suppose it really depends on how much toxicity is already in your system and exactly how much stress you're dealing with right now.

And honestly, it isn't very polite to talk with your mouth full.🙂

I'd say skip the synthetic stuff and stick to herbal remedies if you can. Things like Valerian might do the trick. A box usually runs you maybe twenty dollars at a drugstore, whereas the heavy-duty pharmaceutical options—stuff like Xanax or Valium—are out of the question without a prescription from your doctor.
