northernmarlin79 said:alright, thanks

any idea what the price tag looks like?

honestly, when it comes to discipline and self-control, I am just completely hopeless—there aren't even words for how much of a joke I am, because I'd seriously rather be banging my head against a wall than actually sitting down to study, it's a total disaster

I'm guessing maybe $4 or $5, but don't quote me on that—just a random thought.

I’ve been eyeing it for a while but never pulled the trigger. Today, I finally bought some soy Leciton, and I've already forgotten to take it. 😵 —well, hey, at least I have an excuse: I'm getting older, after all. 🤣

northernmarlin79 said:So, I’ve been going through all your posts... and honestly, I’ve been slamming handfuls of vitamins for years now, yet my studying hasn't moved an inch from where it started. Maybe I just can't focus, or maybe when I actually try to sit down, my concentration vanishes in a heartbeat.
I stay on top of my B vitamins constantly,
but whenever I decide it's time to hit the books, I start loading up on Vitamin C, Leciton if I remember (I guess the trick is being consistent, right?), ABC Ultra Plus, Biotin... basically whatever I can grab to get an edge... but let's be real, you actually have to sit your butt down and study for any of it to even matter.

On another note, if you need a recommendation—grab some Centrum; it's a total vitamin powerhouse and works wonders.

Also, did someone mention getting some Guarana?? That's definitely worth picking up.

And does anyone have advice on how to actually force myself to study instead of just scrolling through the internet or wandering outside to enjoy the sunshine???

Guarana? You can find that in pretty much every CVS or Walgreens you walk into.

As for the other thing—discipline and self-control. (Which, let's be honest, I am completely lacking 😵 )

Though, maybe—and this is just a thought—you should probably go see a doctor, like a GP or even a psychiatrist, just to get some actual professional advice!!??

And what’s the point? Like, they're gonna tell me I'm stressed out and losing my mind—yeah, no kidding, Sherlock, I already know that myself.😉

Sweet, thanks for the links! 👍 🙏

Here’s my current lineup:

soy Leciton
omega 3
guarana

Can I stack all of this at once? 😁

I know—I'm a total mess. 😢

So, is this Lecitone stuff really just for old ladies? Because what about people actually working a job who are also struggling to focus and deal with memory fog?
Dog or cat bites... in Health ·
They sent me in to get my tetanus and rabies shots—mostly because there was this stray cat hanging around the yard, and you never know if it might have bumped into other animals. But honestly? Since we were pretty much certain it wasn't an issue—the cat was basically out in the yard with us most of the time, so it was under control—I skipped the rabies one. And I don't regret it one bit. 😉

But man, that tetanus shot is non-negotiable!

from what I know about local clinics, they don't even carry them—you've gotta go to major hospitals
and you can't just walk in and book an appointment whenever you want; you need a referral from a specialist first.

There are private diagnostic centers out there, kind of like www.labcorp.com

I finally got my specialist referral, but look—that just tells you *which* tests you need. It doesn't mean they're free. Of course I ended up paying full price. I had to get an MRI of my brain, and honestly, kill me now, I have no clue what the damage was—maybe $1,500 or $2,500 😕.

The only silver lining? No waiting in line for months.

Joshua Kim2 said:Glad those Hemoroidin capsules did the trick for you—sounds like you weren't dealing with anything too crazy. Personally? My situation was a total disaster before my surgery, and honestly, nothing worked except Pilex.

Joshua Kim2, you're basically doing anti-advertising at this point. You've repeated your recommendation so many times that I'm positive everyone following this thread has memorized your life story with it. But look, when someone keeps hammering the exact same point over and over, it starts looking super shady.
After your first post, I actually considered trying Pilex, but now? No way. Not even if it were free.

I really don't get why you feel the need to keep repeating yourself constantly.

Hey, good on you if you're just trying to help people out, but going overboard like this isn't doing anyone any favors.
What really kills me about this whole thing is how he didn't even have a white coat. I mean, come on—you can't just be running diagnostics on patients in some random storefront clinic off the main road! 😕

Except mine are just on the left side of my forehead—they're deep, painful, and when I try to absolutely massacre them, they just leak some weird fluid.
Do you happen to have a good dermatologist you'd recommend?

I've been seeing Dr. Miller for years (I'll DM you the info), and I also saw Dr. Sarah Jenkins once (also via DM), and honestly, both are amazing. Dr. Miller is basically my go-to—I love that she actually digs for the root cause before she starts throwing prescriptions at you. I go to her for everything, even facials, but now I'm kind of hesitant to bring up how much I've been playing around with different skincare brands lately... I don't want her judging my life choices. Though, I'm pretty much certain now that these breakouts are an "inside" issue because they stay the same regardless of what products I use—and I've given everything plenty of time to work before blaming the stuff in my cabinet.

p.s. Some of mine are basically squeezeable, but others are just like yours—bright red, hurting like hell, and there is zero point in touching them. Even using acne cream does nothing; if anything, it makes them look even bigger and more inflamed.

Anyway, I'm gonna suck it up and make an appointment with the doc in a few days.

Lately, I’ve been dealing with these random, stupid breakouts right around my temples—red, angry, and seriously painful. It’s totally out of character for me, and honestly, I know there’s gotta be some connection between those spots and what's going on inside my body. I’m planning to hit up my dermatologist in a few days, but I figured I’d check if anyone here has dealt with this before.
Coming soon in Health ·
Can someone please point me in the right direction if they know where I can find data on how skin breakouts correlate with different parts of the body? Like, does the location actually signal that something internal is going sideways?

I’ve heard theories floating around that things like seborrheic dermatitis—you know, that stuff around the nose, mouth, or eyebrows—could be a red flag for stomach issues. And then there's the idea that breakouts along the chin, jawline, or neck (specifically in women) might point toward ovarian issues.

Does anyone actually know more about this?
Even this is off-limits now... in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with stomach issues since I was a kid—got diagnosed with gastritis back in high school. Then a few years ago, they found gallstones, and on top of all that, my cholesterol is spiked because of Hashimoto's. A few months back, my digestion and gut went totally haywire again, and honestly, I can't even tell if it's nerves, my thyroid, or something else entirely. My stomach burns every other day, or my gallbladder starts acting up, or I'm just bloated, or—to make matters worse—I'm dealing with bleeding because my bathroom routine is a complete mess.

Every time I step foot in a doctor's office, I'm basically on my knees begging them not to put me on some restrictive diet. I live for food. Like, I love eating almost everything. I've got this habit of grazing on a little bit of everything throughout the day—fats, proteins, veggies, sweets—and the mere thought of having to change my lifestyle makes me want to scream.

I get it, changing your diet doesn't show results overnight, but my "experiments" usually end in one of two ways: either my body has a massive meltdown because I changed an ingredient or a cooking method, or I just spiral into sadness and rage because I had to give up the stuff I actually enjoy. Either way, I bail pretty fast.

Deep down, I think most of this stems from my head. I feel like once I stop being so anxious and wound up—once I start handling daily stress like a normal person—maybe then I'll be able to eat whatever the hell I want without everything falling apart.

velvetwolf92, you went the strict diet route, and hey, it's awesome that you're actually seeing results. But if I were you, I’d tell you not to go overboard by cutting out *everything*. If I were in your shoes, I'd definitely treat myself to my favorites every once in a while. And let's be real—sometimes that intense craving for a specific food is just your body telling you it needs something.

At the end of the day, we all just need to figure out how to have a better relationship with our own bodies and actually listen to what they need. That’s the best "diet" there is.

Good luck, everyone. 😘

Look, if you actually wanted to help someone on this thread, you’d just drop a recipe instead of acting like some high-brow philosopher—so maybe just back off. People here have enough on their plates without you adding to the noise.🙄

It’s not about who asks—it’s about knowing when to shut up. That’s what my old man always drilled into me. 😛

Kenneth Williams36 said:I haven't really hung out in this corner of the internet much yet, so I'm not sure if anyone’s already talked about wax-based or elderberry hemorrhoid remedies—stuff like that. Look, I've got a recipe that works 100%. If we've already covered it, then my bad. Sorry to bug everyone. I don't mind dropping the recipe, but honestly, I'm feeling too lazy to type out a whole novel if you guys are already looking for it.👍

So, what exactly was your goal with this post? What are you actually trying to pull here? 😕
Flu symptoms in Health ·

it hit me like a freight train last Friday afternoon, and honestly, I can't even remember the last time I felt this absolutely trashed...
Let me expand on what I'm going through—do you guys ever get this sensation in your head where everything just feels like it "freezes"? I don't even know how to put it into words... it’s not like vertigo or dizziness, it’s just this momentary feeling that my brain, my whole consciousness, just hits a sudden freeze-frame😕 and then everything just snaps back to how it was. At first, I figured it was just the fever playing tricks on me, but now I'm starting to freak out because I've noticed that along with this "freezing" thing, my arms and legs start going numb too...
what on earth is happening to me???
Is this just some nasty bout of the flu??? Or is it something else entirely??? 😕
Please, someone tell me this is totally normal

Back when I had the flu a long, long time ago—like almost 20 years back—I went through phases like that. But look, I was basically out of it from lying in bed all day, so I wouldn't know about other organs (you know, those tingling sensations and stuff), and I was way younger back then anyway.

This isn't some new thing—it's been a lifelong battle. I’ve tried everything under the sun, and honestly? Nothing sticks. No matter what angle I take, it just fails.
At one point, I actually tried that Avalanche 02 method, and things were looking up for a second—until they found another crack in my armor and crawled right back in.🙄
Now I'm back to waking up at 4 AM, spiraling into these dark thoughts instead of actually being present for my kids and husband. It’s a mess, and it's hurting everyone involved.
But look, I know this kind of headspace can't be my permanent reality until the day I die.

If you’re still pulling those 4 AM shifts, go see a therapist. Or seriously, grab a solid self-help book (like Toxic Parent: Overcoming Their Painful Legacy and Reclaiming Your Life by Susan Forward / Craig Buck). Don't let them drag you down into a deep depression.

I’m slowly finding a way to forgive my "old man" thanks to some great psychology, a few close friends I can vent to about the same old patterns, and a mountain of reading. Plus, my partner has been incredible—teaching me how to handle things and backing me up through everything, right up until the moment it starts getting too much to bear. 🙏 👍 😍
Abortion discussion in Women's Health ·
brightranger12 said:Just my two cents here... ladies... some of these women really go through the motions like they’re just getting a routine cleaning at the dentist. Honestly, maybe even with less empathy or actual feeling than you'd expect. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I remember once being stuck in a room where these "ladies" were rotating in and out like they were on an assembly line—meanwhile, I was lying there for the exact opposite reason (dealing with infertility issues)... and let me tell you, maybe two out of twenty had any shred of a conscience left.
I'm not here to lecture anyone—everyone has their own rights and choices, period—but I seriously think people should pause and actually wrap their heads around it before doing it. And if I can be a little shameless... "for every woman who didn't show any remorse, I wish she at least had to deal with one HSG, one puncture, and a hormone treatment involving 80 fertility shots."

Don't wish bad luck or misery on anyone, ever. 🙂

(Seriously, some people have all this "conscience" regarding someone else's abortion, but zero conscience when it comes to wishing ill will on others 👎 )

p.s. And how on earth are you supposed to know how much someone actually thought things through before they acted (whether it's sex or an abortion)??? 😕
