He banned me for absolutely no reason, just because I started a thread here... which is exactly where it belonged.
Why are you even surprised? 🤷
He slapped me with a three-day ban for "trolling" over on the PŽK boards.
It was just a harmless little post... 👎
Total disgrace... 👎
I honestly feel like regular people deserve an explanation. We have a right to know, especially since both of them hold such significant positions...
It’s no different from if the FBI were to arrest Joe Biden and we just weren't allowed to know the reasoning because it was considered some sort of "internal" matter. ☕
I happened to glance at the moderator list earlier, and I noticed two grayed-out names sitting there:
1. Leonard Nimoy
2. Delvecchio
Are we regular users actually allowed to ask why... or is that too controversial a topic? I mean, are we simply forbidden from knowing the reasons behind their bans or how long they're supposed to be out...

Wellbutrin is one of the newer antidepressants on the market. Just keep in mind that for any antidepressant to actually kick in, you usually need to be on it consistently for at least six months. That said, there’s no magic formula here—just because it works for one person doesn't mean it'll work for everyone. There are no universal rules when it comes to this stuff.😉
Wellbutrin is definitely one of the most popular options out there.
Even the most highly prescribed antidepressants out there work this way. It hits both dopamine and norepinephrine, but it actually has a much stronger effect on one than the other.
It’s all about that dopamine versus norepinephrine balance. Originally, though, it was actually designed to help people quit smoking because it works by blocking those nicotine receptors.
It works on the receptors similarly to how Zyban does on the market. Honestly, it’s one of the more potent antidepressants out there, and its effectiveness is right on par with...
Effexor seems to have a lower relapse rate for depressive symptoms when you compare it to... Effexor.
It’s pretty common to see this used as an add-on therapy—basically acting as a "boost" to your main antidepressant, most often when paired with an SSRI.
So, basically, if your psychiatrist thinks what you're on isn't cutting it, they might suggest adding an SSRI to the mix alongside your current antidepressant.
To put it simply, if we don't see any progress, the next logical step is to add an antidepressant from a completely different class to the mix.
Don't try to act like a doctor here...🙄
Most people start feeling the effects of antidepressants after about 4 to 5 weeks.
Wellbutrin is one of the most popular
and frequently prescribed antidepressants globally. It works on two fronts—dopamine and norepinephrine—though its impact on dopamine is twice as strong
compared to its effect on norepinephrine. Originally, it was even intended to help people quit smoking because it blocks nicotine
receptors... .........
Just a little bit of copy-pasting from some depression forum and you think you're an expert...🤣
http://www.depression-forum.com/thread/9065.php It's rare for a "standard" psychiatrist to prescribe Wellbutrin since many patients don't really need it, which is why it isn't typically covered by Medicare.
Neurohormones are deeply interconnected, and by stimulating dopamine and norepinephrine receptors, you risk disrupting acetylcholine, serotonin, GABA, and other hormones... unknown interactions occur, and that's why psychiatrists tend to be extremely cautious.
Honestly, it’s just strange how people work...
When there's someone to tear down, people will churn out hundreds of posts on a single thread, racking up tens of thousands of views. But when someone actually deserves a bit of credit? They go completely unnoticed, along with their entire discussion...
Take certain individuals, for instance. They manage to climb the ladder in their "online" careers, despite having shown a complete lack of self-respect—or respect for the moderators—through their behavior and posts. And then there's the senseless banning, which personally gets under my skin, though I couldn't quite say why...
I suppose, and I'm fairly certain of this, that all sorts of insecure types find a way to express themselves in this digital world. It's why I don't even care for big tennis... because I can't trip anyone up fairly, or shove an opponent, or hit them...
Well, within the rules of the sport, at least...
Everything here seems to be bottom-of-the-barrel stuff, far below any decent level of human communication...
All I need now is to open accounts on Facebook and Twitter ☕
After that, I won't even need a gun to end it all...
With that one act, I'll have already finished everything...
reddriver35 said:Are you kidding me?😁
Let’s assume you aren't. Honestly, I don't think you even need this thread. 🤷
You could have just used my thread to praise them—which would be the exact opposite of the title. 🤷
But yeah, agreed. Psychology is being handled well. 👍
Believe me, from the moment I started reading your sentences until the second I finished them, I struggled to figure out what you were even trying to say...
You're probably way smarter than I am, so I just haven't caught the point yet.
So, I’ve been scrolling through this subforum, reading all these complaints about what the mods have done or haven't done lately.
Everything is fine with me.
I’ve definitely lost my cool more than a few times myself.
In my relatively short time hanging out on these boards, I’ve felt that flash of anger toward certain moderators—just because they let their own human flaws get in the way of things.
But so what?!!!
I used to sit there thinking, "What on earth is wrong with this moderator?" Is he just totally out of touch with reality?!
Anyway... more to come...
Look, I get it. By the next morning, the irritation over some random ban for "spamming," trolling, flame wars, or whatever other nonsense labels they throw around usually fades away. Those kinds of petty penalties just drive people away from communities like this.
What I’m actually trying to say is that the guy mentioned in the thread title is actually an emotionally mature individual. He deserves some credit. He doesn't just hand out mindless bans for trolling, spamming, or being slightly off-topic. Instead, he handles things with the composure of a real teacher—a grown-up. He issues warnings, people actually respect him, he gets intelligent humor, and he manages a huge crowd of active users without breaking a sweat... I shouldn't praise him too much, though.
Now, Ms. fairy isn't a bad person, but she really ought to spend more time over at Cocaine Nights.
But seriously, that guy is a rare breed of moderator. He has incredible self-control and he's honest—which I assume go hand in hand. He doesn't go off like some trigger-happy gunslinger with a chip on his shoulder just because nobody's shot him yet...
If that moderator ever decides to flag me, I'll know I actually messed up. I won't go crying to anyone about it. They're hard to find, those types...
If only he were my brother-in-law😁
The whole point of this thread is for the benefit of everyone—to educate the mods, the regular posters, and even the lurkers who just watch the chaos unfold.
It's a simple question, really;
I don't care about your opinion on who the "best" moderator is. What I want to know is how YOU feel when you get hit with a completely senseless penalty—something that, in the grand scheme of your actual life, means absolutely nothing!!!
Jacob Foster11 said:This is just a moderator's review. Look, I’m not out here claiming that the mods are infallible. They make mistakes too... after all, they’re only human.
None of us regular folks seem to think that moderators are actual human beings who are allowed to make mistakes...
The real issue here is pure vanity... it's that refusal to own up to our own weaknesses, and that stubbornness that stops us from actually wanting to fix our mistakes.
The arrogance and sheer ego displayed by the moderators, combined with a total lack of basic interpersonal skills, are massive issues on this forum...
That's exactly why there are multiple instances in place, you know... like having several administrators on hand to manage things.
They exist, I suppose... but they don't actually do anything.
This whole "job" thing is basically unpaid labor. No paycheck, no social security, no retirement benefits... just a total lack of support. And now I see some Nicole Nelson77 over there complaining about all the administrative headaches... honestly... ☕
"
Ugh, just look at that username... honestly, it’s probably some bottom-feeder. I can't even be bothered to try and explain things to them... after all, I'm the one who actually wrote the rules..." 🙄
Chris Lopez59 said:Maybe it’s just because the whole thing is built on nothing but trolling and straight-up insults. Seriously, just take a look at the introduction.
Look, if you're going to call someone out, you actually need to bring some real arguments to the table to show why their facts don't hold water; otherwise, you're just trolling, and honestly, nobody has the patience for that.
Look, nobody on this forum ever claimed they cured their cancer just by staring at the sun. What you’re actually bringing up comes from Hira Ratan Manek, an Indian practitioner who was scientifically observed over extended periods while he wasn't consuming any food at all. That alone gives the guy enough credibility to float his philosophy about sun-gazing. People have been discussing this on Alternative for ages, and honestly, citing Manek is an argument in itself. Your whole line of reasoning—that it's "scientifically impossible" to live off sunlight—is completely nonsensical. I mean, strictly speaking, it’s also scientifically "impossible" for a human to survive that long without eating, yet it’s been empirically demonstrated. So, what’s the actual takeaway here? It's pretty simple: science is currently just lacking sufficient knowledge. To lean on the argument that "if it isn't scientifically proven, it can't happen" is just pure nonsense because science isn't some finished, static collection of truths; it's a work in progress. Just because we haven't uncovered the scientific mechanism behind a possibility doesn't mean that possibility doesn't exist—science isn't a closed book. We don't even fully grasp the complex functions of our own organs yet, which says a lot about how much we still have to learn. Honestly, there are plenty of people out there who just wrap their own deep-seated biases in a lab coat and pretend they're presenting a purely scientific viewpoint. Yeah, right. 🙂 Honestly, those kinds of takes are fundamentally unserious when you look at them through any kind of scientific lens
But when people start attacking others by saying stuff like, "You belong in jail, you're telling people to stare at the sun and they might go blind," without even bothering to mention what was actually advised—let alone providing any actual context—that’s nothing more than pure trolling. It’s also pretty obvious when someone is just being insulting. If I were running the show as a mod, believe me, I’d be sanctioning intros like yours; I’d insist on nothing but civil communication rather than this passive-aggressive disrespect
Look, mods are human and they screw up sometimes, but the real problem with this forum is the sense of untouchability surrounding certain mods. When a mod makes a mistake, they almost never get corrected; instead, their decisions are protected and justified, no matter how biased or completely flawed they actually are.
And where exactly was this guy being scientifically "observed"?!
I saw a couple of photos where he was hanging out with some guys in white lab coats, so I guess that counts as proof?!
Where are these "empirical" proofs, anyway?!
Who's keeping them tucked away in a drawer... Sai baba, maybe?
I don't usually hang out in that subforum, but I did some reading after seeing this thread, and honestly, you can find all kinds of absolute nonsense over there.
There might be a bit of useful advice about medicinal herbs here and there, but the rest is just pure trash...☕
Roger Rodriguez said:Anyone who decides to start taking benzos for any reason should really be seeking advice from a doctor rather than turning to the internet, shouldn't they?
Furthermore, I've certainly never heard of a recommended daily dose going up to 10 mg.
I mean, some people seem to think there's no difference between taking 10mg of Normabloc or 10mg of xanax just because they're both benzos... right?😁
Nicholas Allen2 said:Someone who doesn't typically use anti-anxiety meds or antidepressants takes 6 mg of xanax following a major stressful event. There's still no sign of it working. According to the internet, the recommended dose ranges from 1 to 10 mg. Would it be wise to take the remaining 4 mg, or is it more likely to be ineffective given that 6 mg hasn't done anything after five hours?
Honestly, anyone claiming 6 mg of xanax didn't relax them when they've never touched a benzodiazepine before is lying through their teeth... don't go believing every bit of nonsense you read out there.
wiredmarlin29 said:That stuff comes with Haldol, Moditen, and Prazine.
The absolute worst pill ever. It makes you feel totally manic... just stay far away from it. You'll start thinking you're some kind of superhero and try to
jump off a five-story building, or you'll get this delusional idea that
you're some kind of prince who's gonna
go out and kiss frogs just to find the love of your life... listen to him, talking about AKINETON👎!👎👎👎
haldol is an antipsychotic, which basically tanks your mood by messing with serotonin and dopamine. they give it to those "jumpers"🤣 just to keep them grounded.
And don't even start with the Akineton talk if you don't know what you're talking about. Akineton is an anticholinergic; it stimulates dopamine receptors. Honestly, you'd probably need to knock back about 20 pills before you actually felt like you were "flying"... taking two or three won't even register.
I took three once and didn't feel a single thing.☕
fadedbear92 said:I was hoping those of you taking Effexor could share your experiences—I’m really struggling with a total lack of energy and this constant need to nap during the afternoon. I’ve only been on it for a week now, currently at 75 mg alongside my other med, Prozac, so hopefully the Effexor kicks in soon to give me a boost. It might just be too early to tell, but right now, I’m still spending way too much time stuck in bed. Thanks in advance! http://imdoc.fr/forum/images/perso/abs0lut-nem.gif
All antidepressants can trigger dystonia, weakness, fatigue, or even that occasional feeling of stiffness...
That's exactly why people have to deal with both antidepressants and anxiolytics—to try and dull those side effects down.
Generally speaking, the higher the price tag, the better the microphone quality.
That’s just how it usually works, I suppose...

My folks at AT&T swapped out my old router for this

white Thompson unit and honestly... everything's running perfectly.
It looks like we were thinking along the exact same lines at the very same time.

So, where did Bell go??
I honestly feel like this whole forum has gone downhill ever since they started handing out red cards for nonsense like spam, trolling, flame wars, off-topic chatter... all that stuff.
Look, I get it if someone's being a nuisance and overstepping, but constantly slapping people with red cards feels less like moderation and more like slapping a toddler just for being annoying. People are losing interest in participating under such a ridiculous system because, frankly, it ends up feeling totally unfair.
Just look at how they handle things over on the BUG forum.
They actually have "awards" for high-quality posts that users vote on, which helps build up your rating. The idea there is to incentivize good content, whereas punishment is subtle. But here? It feels like punishing people is way more important than actually encouraging anyone to write anything worthwhile.

Those kinds of roles are just going to follow him forever.
It’s honestly hilarious seeing him try to pull off a serious expression...🍿
