Link 3 is working (SopCast channel 26262), though the site loads incredibly slowly (at least for me).
It's a great game (watching on NBC); the Danish defense is looking much tougher than they did during the group stage. If the German goalie keeps playing like this, he might end up with some cavities.
Anyway, what’s with all the arguing in the last few posts? It hasn't even been an hour since that massive win...

Give it a shot.

Maybe at least one of these links actually works...
The Netherlands is definitely a tough draw, obviously, but then again, who in this group isn't? Maybe those unlucky Greeks, though you have to hand it to them for what they pulled off last year—but I doubt they can pull that off again for at least another 20 years. Van der Vaart is back in form, but then again, he's more or less always in form, and neither has Ljungberg really threatened our goal lately... It's true, the Dutch have refreshed the squad quite a bit, and they look strong. How strong they actually are? I guess we'll find out next summer.
Anyway, let's just focus on getting through the World Cup first.
I'll always feel a bit cheated that we didn't make it into the top pot. But honestly, that was mostly due to some damn luck, and this setup might actually turn out okay... It’s a decent outcome—not exactly breaking news—that we'll be avoiding Italy and Spain. Eventually, maybe by the "law of large numbers," we'll have to face one of them, but I don't think any of the other teams in that group suit us at all. On the flip side, I suppose it's a shame we won't get to play Germany... In the first pot, England is the one I dislike most. Though, I guess you could manage with them if they actually played football (prioritizing defense, at least), rather than that limp, passive style they showed back during the Super Bowl era. After them, I'd prefer to avoid France and the Czech Republic... Looking at the third pot, Russia and Ukraine are definitely the worst options. Everything else is fine. For the fourth, let it be Belgium; at least then I'd have an excuse to travel for an away game. 😁 I wouldn't mind facing the Celts either, for the same reason... In the fifth pot, Wales looks like the toughest match, and in the sixth, Belarus is absolutely the ugliest draw (I guess the CIA is out to get me... 😈 (see my note on pot 3)). Anything from the seventh pot should be manageable, though I wouldn't particularly want to deal with Kazakhstan (again, CIA vibes). Faroe Islands, Chumezhe? 😁 😉
Patrick Fox10 said:So, how do you say Monaco in Italian?
Same thing. That's why people usually add 'di Baviera' ('of Bavaria') when talking about Munich—just to make sure they mean the city and not some gambling den. 😉

He used his hand—specifically his upper arm (the inside part). Like I said, the slow-motion replays make it pretty obvious. It’s no wonder the Chelsea keeper lost his mind. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore... the Superbowl: Kansas City - San Francisco is here!
It was Liverpool some decades ago, I can't recall the exact year. Speaking of unsportsmanlike behavior, it seems most people either missed it or chose to ignore the fact that Ibarra scored Monaco's first goal at Stamford Bridge with his hand. 😳 🙂 It was pretty clear on the replays (at least on the Belgian broadcast). Regardless, I'm glad they moved on, and they did it convincingly on aggregate, so the English side can't really complain about that "handball" anymore.
AS Monaco, European champions 2004!
(Just so I don't jinx them, following my old habit... 🙄 )
Look... I have to admit, I’m having a hard time buying this. It’s partly due to the sheer distance—both geographically between England and the USA, and in terms of musical style—but mostly because of the timeline. If my facts are right, the Pixies didn't even form until 1987, yet Adrian Smith didn't leave Iron Maiden until 1989, and he was still right there on the Seventh son of a Seventh son album back in 1988. (Assuming my sources aren't totally off base here...) But hey, you never know. Maybe if I happen to catch Frank Black for a beer in three or four months when they're playing nearby, I'll try to get some real answers out of him after a few rounds of truth serum... Anyway, regardless, I’d love to see if there's any truth to that story. It sounds pretty cool, even if it is just a myth.
And I think it’s pretty obvious from my signature whether or not I plan on giving everything I've got to end up playing a festival stage—or rather, just a patch of dirt. 😁 😎
I guess I finally realized it too.... And I already saved up enough cash for the ticket...
You really didn't need to tell me that 😢 🙂 🙂 🙂 😢
So where are you guys for spring break? If the answer is Amsterdam, maybe there's a chance for... The Pixies are playing a massive festival in a small town in Belgium called Lollapalooza on July 2nd. It's a tiny place, but every year it turns into total madness for three days at the end of June/beginning of July. Usually, spring break trips last about a week (so you probably wouldn't even be around here anymore), and getting from Amsterdam to Lollapalooza isn't exactly easy or cheap—not to mention festival tickets aren't exactly a bargain either... but, hey, just thought I'd share the info... By the way, if anyone happens to be in the area and decides to go, you can crash at our place—we live about 10 km from Lollapalooza. Hmm... I doubt this actually helps anyone, but you never know...
