On a VHS 😁 from some sketchy bootleg 😁 at like 2 AM 😁
maybe that’s why the whole vibe felt off...😁
Lost in translation in Movies ·
I know I'm about to get roasted for this, but it actually sucked... 😁
Watched it last night, and honestly, I don't think I've ever been that bored...
The movie isn't even terrible, I just think I overhyped it in my own head based on everything I heard.🙄
Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson 😍 are great, but the whole thing is way too overrated.
But hey, if the army of critics says it's good, I guess I'm just wrong... 😉

And don't forget John Doe, aka Albert Einstein, the absolute genius.😁

Which category do you fall into? 😁

Yeah, Sheva is definitely talking nonsense. What really kills me is how he's totally trashing his own avatar.
😢 😁

Since the days of Pelé, there have been tons of better, more complete athletes who are just way more powerful because of modern training. He was considered a god back in his day mostly because he was slightly quicker than some sluggish defenders and had an ego the size of Texas. He was famous, sure, but he got way too much credit.

And calling him a true athlete? Yeah, good luck finding anyone who can actually argue that.

No offense, but you're being an idiot.
You're way too young to actually remember football from that era, yet here you are acting like an expert on something you know nothing about.
Scott Collins30 mentioned two guys, so I'll throw Spasić from the Chicago Bulls into the mix—a guy whose specialty was basically career-ending tackles rather than actual goals. 😁

nimblemarlin17 said:If you’d actually looked at how Milan played back in the early 2000s, you’d realize the Pelé era was basically just a bunch of defensive thugs. Honestly, the 80s might have been the absolute worst period for soccer, and he's the only reason it didn't completely tank. If you think it's hard to play now, try doing it then.

Look, I usually don't take anything copperpuma96 posts seriously, but I'll give them this one. My only gripe is saying the 80s were the worst ever. We had some insane talent back then—besides Pelé, just look at Marco van Basten... 🙏
And yeah, the defenders were total thugs, but that's just how it was... 😁
Cream and Jam in Movies ·
I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard the buzz. 😁
Basically, everyone says it's solid. The trailers felt a little low-brow to me, but that won't stop me from checking it out. I also heard George spends half the movie making fun of Canadians, which—honestly—is reason enough for me to watch it. 😁 😁

It’s just pure entertainment meant to make you laugh.. other than that, it's basically a tribute to the rock n roll lifestyle.
Don't expect an Oscar nomination here, but if you just want to hit the theater and have a good time, it's worth it.

Caught this little flick last night and I'm totally with frozenrider112 on this one. 👍 It's designed to be a quick ninety-minute escape, and you've gotta respect that. Sure, some critics will find things to nitpick (and they will!), especially that cliché Hollywood ending, but you walk away feeling great!
Highly recommend! 👍
Btw, the soundtrack and the whole vibe really brought back some old memories... 😁
Chopper in Movies ·
Anyone catch that movie about the Australian serial killer? It’s got its issues, but Eric Ban is absolutely killing it. 🙏
Apparently, Chopper took out about 17 people in real life, whereas the movie barely touches one—though he left a trail of broken bones in his wake (and offered a quick 😂
). Anyway, worth a watch if you have the time! 👍
Alias (2001-2006) in TV Series ·
Mreža Plus has been broadcasting in Canada for a while now—you can even catch it on satellite. I rarely tune in, though. It mostly feels like high-budget, overproduced filler, even if Quentin Tarantino did make a cameo in one episode.😎
But honestly, I haven't watched enough of it to act like an expert.😁
Jennifer Garner looks spectacular in this series!😍 😍 😍
Carl Brooks22 said:Funny how there isn't a single Dane in the running... even if time "flies," the EP wasn't back in 2003😉

Oof, totally missed that bit about 2003. 😳
Doesn't matter though, those Danes have some killer players... Damn senn rulz! 😬
Carl Brooks22 said:Is it just a coincidence that there aren't two candidates from the same country?

You should've asked why there isn't anyone from Denmark, considering they played the best handball at the EP. 😕
Summer in the Golden Valley in Movies ·
The movie isn't bad, it just grated on me with all that cheap philosophy and shallow emotion, especially that whole "Coelho-style" nonsense about finding treasure. 🙂

And the amateur acting? Terrible! 😁
I dig how the film tries to be "urban" instead of relying on lowbrow humor like 80% of movies coming out of the former Eastern Bloc.
Not bad at all for a directorial debut!👍 🙏

Throw in some Kung Pow and Street soccer for the full experience.👍 👍

Yep. From Seattle.

The Cure and The Clash definitely win out for the older stuff.
For the newer era, I’m feeling Coldplay, Travis😳, Super Furry Animals, and Radiohead—but only back before they started acting all high and mighty and "experimenting."

Immediately thinking of Road to Perdition and The Others. 👍
