Megan Morales5 said:Look, there’s really no comparison between a bowl of whole-grain, perfectly cooked brown rice and some greasy, deep-fried piece of junk swimming in God-knows-what kind of oil—it's apples and oranges! But honestly? I tend to trust my gut—literally—more than I trust any complex nutritional theory you could throw at me. In the scenario we were just discussing, the rice is hands-down the superior choice. Plus, I make it a point to have a side of green veggies with pretty much every major meal I eat.
Well, I’m finally digging my way back out of the trenches... 😁 To be perfectly honest—and I do love a good debate over dinner—I think whole grain rice is a bit of an upgrade over the glazed variety. Though, I have to admit, whenever anyone even breathes the word "rice" in my presence, my mind immediately jumps straight to that shiny, glazed stuff! It’s almost like a reflex at this point—one mention of the grain and I'm already picturing that perfect, silky texture. 🙏Look, I'm saying it again—vegetables are hands down better for you than grains!
Exactly—that’s precisely what drove me up the wall! It’s just that feeling when you’re laying everything out—being crystal clear, mind you—and yet, somehow, the message just isn't landing. It’s incredibly frustrating when you feel like you're speaking a completely different language, even though we're both standing right here in the same room!
Look, I totally get where you're coming from—I really do! 😉 Well, you certainly aren't asking about my diet—not even a little bit! 😬
And why on earth do people actually put on weight in the first place? Honestly—it’s because they live under this massive, collective delusion that there’s absolutely nothing bad hiding in a side of French fries! It's like they think—well, I don't know how else to put it—that it's just pure, harmless bliss with zero consequences. Pure madness! 😁 Why is it that I’ve never once had to deal with a diet—even though I eat like a teenager and go at it several times a day—yet I stay exactly where I am? And why on earth does my girlfriend look absolutely incredible while she eats whatever she wants without ever lifting a finger toward a salad? It seems completely unfair! But honestly, listen to me—you really need to pay attention to what you're putting into your body. Your stomach is actually trying to talk to you! If you aren't listening, it’ll find its own way to scream for attention—whether that’s through sudden bloating, a nasty bout of heartburn after a meal, or, in a more obvious sense, just showing up as extra weight on the scale. Your body is sending you signals; you just have to start paying attention to them before they become impossible to ignore.
Here we go again—it’s the same old story! Honestly, I eat just about everything (well, except for the stuff I can't stand to eat, obviously). But listen to me: I am NOT gaining weight. Period. I know exactly what a balanced diet looks like—I really do! 🙂 🙂
And please—don't go spamming this thread anymore! 🙂
