Chicken noodle soup recipe in Health ·
You all have really worked up my appetite... I think I might just whip myself up a warm chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. 🙂
Chicken noodle soup recipe in Health ·
I honestly think that chicken noodle soup recipe is fantastic—it's the perfect little prelude before the main course arrives. There is absolutely no way I'd be sitting here eating nothing but soup all day long!

Well, if you ask me—and I think Gregory Turner71 would agree—there’s always that wonderful little button labeled "ignore." Honestly, it’s the best way to trim down a thread to a reasonable length!

It worked for me, so if you’d rather just stay sick, hey, that’s your call.
In case you missed the point, I said you don't have to take PILLS or heavy medication—I'm talking about herbal supplements!
I would much rather spend my money on fish oil and a multivitamin; I mean, seriously, I'm practically breaking the bank here! My multivitamin has lasted me six whole months and only cost $15, plus the fish oil was just $9 for 200 capsules... I mean, what else can you get for that kind of money? Go grab four beers at a pub?
Honestly, your arguments are just laughable—claiming this is some massive expense when you compare it to how much the average person blows on things that actually wreck their health, like cigarettes, booze, sugary snacks, coffee, or soda...

Look, my arguments come from someone who actually knows a bit more about nutrition than what you'll find in some random grocery store pamphlet. For instance—and this is basic stuff—if you eat actual fish, you don't need omega-3 capsules, because those fatty acids are a natural part of North Atlantic fish. You get your vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables. Fiber? Also found in produce and whole grains. So, really, who are you trying to sell this nonsense to? Someone who actually cares about their health can manage just fine without any "magic potions." Personally, I stay healthy without any supplements at all, even though I've got a genetic predisposition for psoriasis. I had a patch on my elbow last year—likely a stress reaction—but it's gone now. And no, I don't go around chugging "natural" concoctions. Sure, sometimes I grill out and have a drink, and chocolate is basically my main food group.

Sandra Hayes88 said:there just aren't enough of those essential nutrients left in our food to stay healthy.

Now, hold on—this is simply NOT TRUE. Honestly, people, why is everyone falling for this blatant propaganda?

Sandra Hayes88 said:I tried it, my husband tried it—healthy eating without sugar or refined carbs, skipping alcohol, plus multivitamins and minerals, aloe vera, herbal teas, Omega-3 (fish oil), plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, whole grains—and all our health issues just vanished.

In that specific scenario, you don't actually need supplements at all! You can get everything you need straight from your food. But hey, if you really love throwing money away, who am I to stop you? It’s your wallet!

You shouldn't take the pills someone is trying to sell you; instead, go for herbal supplements, vitamins, and minerals.

And where exactly does all that stuff come from for free?

Gregory Turner71, if you're still reading this, shoot me a PM. This whole thread is heading straight toward... Big Pharma.

How can I, when it’s been over a month since he even bothered to ask how I was doing???
I'm honestly just so mad at him... it's like he's totally oblivious to everything I'm going through...
Why won't he just check in on me???
If he would just show a tiny bit of attention, I’d tell him everything in a heartbeat...

Well, have you actually asked him how *he* is doing? Maybe he isn't feeling as great as you think.
The truth is—and I say this with all due respect—men will almost never just "know" what's bothering you unless you spell it out. People aren't mind readers! That's why we were given the ability to communicate, right?
Think about it this way—remember when you told your friend you weren't feeling well and she was totally shocked? It wasn't because she didn't care, it's just that from the outside, you looked perfectly fine! It's the exact same thing with your boyfriend. If you don't speak up, he assumes everything is sunshine and rainbows.
But hey, at least you vented here. 👍 And honestly, that’s a solid first step.

Everyone else has already thrown in the towel—so, really, I might as well join them.

The secret behind this whole "miracle" thing—if you can even call it that—is that we’re talking about food specifically engineered, formulated, and crafted to actually FEED YOUR CELLS! ... and honestly, once your cells start getting the right kind of fuel—you’re going to feel these absolutely staggering shifts in your health.. it’s a totally fresh, completely different way of looking at nutrition, a whole new paradigm for wellness ... so, look, it isn't just some random product or a single ingredient; it’s essentially a delivery technology designed to shuttle nutrients straight into your cells ...

A miracle, you say? On a Health forum? This belongs over in the Religion section...

Anthony Wood54 said:My boyfriend doesn't have bulimia per se, but his relationship with food is totally warped...
nothing tastes good to him—period. He eats purely out of necessity... he actually tells me that life would be perfect if someone just invented a pill he could swallow so he wouldn't have to deal with the whole ordeal—because, frankly, eating and food feel like nothing more than a massive waste of both time and money to him...
He’s incredibly thin, and there are days where he barely touches a single bite despite being constantly on the move working...
I honestly suspect the root of the issue is his home life—since he still lives with his mother—because she was always nagging about her own weight, how she had to go on diets, blah blah blah... and I really think she instilled this idea in him that being overweight is somehow ugly (he even mentions during our conversations that he doesn't like people who are overweight)...
I don't know...
he's such an enigmatic creature...
and as strange as it might sound—I think he might actually understand...
it might take him at least a week to catch my drift, but... it's worth a shot...
I am definitely going to bring it up with him.

Well, talk about two extremes meeting! Seriously, just sit down and have a heart-to-heart with him. You two are practically polar opposites. And as for what his mother is saying... well, that's just noise—water off a duck's back. If your boyfriend loves you for exactly who you are, then why does her nonsense matter? She sounds like a total nutcase.

And then she says to me, "Look at that little tummy," and I just laugh and tell her I'd much rather have a little bit of a belly than be nothing but skin and bones...

A little extra cushion never hurt anyone! 😉

Oh man... this food situation is killing me...🤮

You're the one killing yourself, Anthony Wood54, by struggling like this.
And for heaven's sake, please ignore that charlatan preacher. He'd probably just try to sell you overpriced pills, but you're dealing with something much more significant here. You first have to prove to yourself that food isn't your enemy—that it's actually what keeps you alive. Once you embrace that, your stomach might finally start cooperating. 😉 If things don't improve, you really ought to seek out a professional (and I'll happily join the chorus of voices advising that).
And if you find the time, maybe read up a bit on how the digestive tract actually processes nutrients. You'll see that things aren't just rotting away inside you.😉

mistybear4 said:Honestly, there’s just no educating you anymore—you’re far sharper than you give yourself credit for! I mean, truly—only a "specialist" of your caliber could possibly look at a basic whole-food diet and rebrand it as some fancy "multivitamin supplement"... it’s almost poetic, isn't it? 😁

If you’re truly asking me—and I see that little challenge tucked in there, which I appreciate!—to boil down the entire concept of cellular nutrition into one single, solitary sentence, then here goes my best shot at it: Cellular nutrition is essentially the high-level process of providing your body's individual building blocks with the specific, precise fuel and micronutrients they need to maintain their structural integrity and keep the whole biological engine humming along perfectly. Now, if you'll excuse me, that was quite a mental marathon for such a tiny request!

Unlike you—who seems to be just reciting lines you've memorized like some scripted actor in a mediocre Broadway play—I am actually laying out the cold, hard facts. And let’s get one thing straight: presenting reality isn't "whining." Is that part of your enlightened little dictionary too? Or did you skip that chapter?

Your little collection of facts isn't going to help anyone—not even you, really... and if we’re being honest here, my "facts" consist of knowing actual people who have successfully tackled this issue, unlike you, who seems to be the smartest person in the room yet still hasn't managed to pull it off, you know what I mean? 😉

What exactly is it that I haven’t quite managed to resolve yet? My total intolerance for people who just won't take a hint?

I am absolutely fed up with these narrow-minded people! I feel like I’m standing here shouting from the rooftops about FOOD—actual nutrition—and yet all you folks want to talk about are MEDICATIONS. It’s incredibly frustrating! I am trying to discuss how to eliminate the actual ROOT CAUSE, but everyone else seems obsessed with nothing more than masking the SYMPTOMS...

Oh, wonderful! Since you’re clearly such a genius—and feel free to go ahead and insult me however you like, I really don't mind at all—why don't you enlighten me? How exactly do you plan on eliminating the actual cause of psoriasis? Are you going to perform some sort of surgical strike on my DNA and just toss the genes in the trash? Or perhaps you'll try to lure them out with a fancy little bribe so they never decide to crawl back into the genome again?

🤔 Please, enlighten me. Are you seriously suggesting we treat psoriasis - faith in healing with nothing more than a multivitamin supplement? 🤣
Unlike you—who seems to be just reciting things you've memorized word-for-word—I am laying out cold, hard facts. And let me tell you, stating facts isn't "complaining." Is that how you define enlightenment these days?

Just last year, a brand-new patented therapy was launched right here in the United States, developed through a joint effort between Americans and Britons. The treatment cycle lasts about 12 weeks, and once you're done, the symptoms can stay in remission for up to a full year! Now, the price tag—well, it's a bit of a "small detail," if you catch my drift. Of course, travel and plane tickets aren't included in the cost. Did they cover that part at your Herbalife's seminar?

I’m going to go ahead and ask the moderators to step in here—seriously, please—because McPropovjednik is just clogging up this thread without actually contributing anything of substance. Just because someone fails to grasp a bit of sarcasm doesn't mean they suddenly have some profound medical insight regarding psoriasis—or, frankly, any other health condition for that matter.

It’s funny you say that, because people have actually told me I must be some sort of total pig in real life just because I happen to know a lot about nutrition and healthy eating. 😕 It is such a bizarre way of thinking, isn't it? People love to jump to those weird conclusions...

Anthony Wood54 said:Well, I'm finally weighing in after reading through everything here...
GUYS, I STILL HAVEN'T HAD A bowel movement (I think it's been 6 or 7 days now)... and I felt absolutely terrible last night—even though I barely ate anything for my birthday (just one little slice of pizza)—but I woke up at 3:00 AM struggling so hard not to throw up. Honestly, I don't think my stomach even processed that damn pizza; it feels like the stuff from the day before is still just sitting there rotting away until it finally decides to make an exit...

Oh, honey, please. Don't put yourself through this. I mean, surely you realize you’ve completely wrecked your digestion—like, totally nuked it. You really need to try eating normally. Not just once a day! If you keep going down this path, you're going to end up in the ER, and why on earth would you want that?
Just try to wrap your head around the fact that—well, as long as you're breathing—nothing inside you is actually "rotting." Food moves through your digestive tract, your body grabs what it needs to function, and the rest just passes through. And listen, your body *needs* fuel. Regularly. In reasonable amounts.

Back when I lost weight (which was about 15 years ago now), I was absolutely obsessed with making sure it never happened again. I remember visiting my cousin for Easter—this is actually a perfect little story—and she is just the most incredible cook; she makes these spectacular desserts. She brings out this huge platter of treats—you wouldn't believe it—and you can't even pick a favorite. I'll grab the tiniest little thing, take one bite, and give people eyes 😲 like this. I'd love to have more, but I tell myself, "No, it'll be too much, I think." Then she looks at me and goes, "You know, nimbledriver81, whoever loves you, loves you whether you're five pounds heavier or lighter." 👍 🙂 Well, hey, she’s got a point, doesn't she? So, I went ahead and had three more. And you know what? I felt fine. Looking back, I can tell you that this whole "ideal" of looking like a walking skeleton is complete nonsense. Back when I was heavier, I was convinced everyone could see nothing but my extra weight, but that wasn't true at all. I always had plenty of handsome guys interested in me—and clearly, they didn't mind a little extra cushion. 😵 Besides, if someone has a problem with how you look, they shouldn't be looking in the first place.
Hang in there. 🙂 Go eat something delicious. It's not like it's Easter every single day.

See, those are the only real arguments people throw at us—those who love to "flex their degrees" to shut us down. 🙄 It is so much easier for folks to swallow a flashy commercial than to actually use a bit of common sense. Using common sense requires those tiny little gray matter cells to actually fire, which, let's be honest, can be quite a tall order sometimes!

By the way, to all the critics out there: Rachel Brooks63 is not fat. In fact, she looks absolutely stunning in person.

mistybear4 said:it seems I jumped the gun—a total miscalculation on my part! It isn’t even about that...
up until January 1st, 2004, the World Health Organization was merely suggesting dietary supplements; however, since that date, they have been essentially issuing an appeal—that is to say, stating that for anyone truly concerned about their health, taking supplements is absolutely ESSENTIAL... and they aren't just saying this for the fun of it, mind you, but because of the rising statistics regarding illnesses caused by vitamin and mineral deficiencies resulting from the poor quality of modern food supplies ... 😢

🙄

You seem to have overlooked the fact that we are talking about developing nations here. In the "developed" world, people go overboard with all sorts of supplements—spending billions of dollars on them—whereas for Third World countries, the amount needed to cover one person's vitamin requirements costs a mere 12 cents. Yes, seriously, just that little. But, oh well, it is much easier to peddle expensive products to lazy Europeans and Americans with just one of your little sermons—because helping the hungry across the globe doesn't exactly yield much financial profit, does it?

I am simply educating—well, appealing to people's awareness—and whether or not you choose to listen is entirely your decision; and if you do decide to heed that appeal, which specific vitamins you choose to go with is also your call... I am not selling anything, so please, for heaven's sake, get that through your heads once and for all... 😎

And how exactly are you "educating" us, if I may ask? You've just memorized a handful of phrases and you keep repeating them over and over again.

I would be most delighted if people would finally post something educational or constructive here; it’s getting quite tedious reading these empty comments... if you can't contribute something meaningful through actual knowledge (or experience), then please don't bother with this nonsense... 😁

Unlike you—who just spouts slogans straight out of a Herbalife's daily "enlightenment" seminar—there are actually people here trying to share their real experiences and genuine knowledge. Every single person battling an illness learns something along the way. If you find this boring, then I wish you the best of luck elsewhere.
