What is wrong with these folks... in Music ·
Sandra King86 said:Forgive me, but I’m just not seeing the distinction here. 😬 😎

Honestly, that observation says much more about your own personal taste than it does about country music itself! 😉

Scott Smith said:Since America is unfortunately such a struggling nation—populated by folks who haven't quite mastered the nuances of democracy or civil society just yet—it’s hardly surprising that this kind of cheap, mindless entertainment is currently flying off the shelves. I suspect it’ll stay that way for quite a while until the demographic landscape shifts a bit.

Ahem, if I may be so bold. 😬 Back in the 80s, Lepa Brena managed to pack Madison Square Garden for an entire week. AN ENTIRE WEEK! And I challenge anyone to tell me she was only playing to rural crowds, or folks from the South, or those specific immigrant communities... back then, they weren't even that numerous in the big city. Not to mention that plenty of people outside those groups enjoy a good catchy tune too. Anyway.

Oh, how I’d love to just go head-to-head with a few people on this forum right now... honestly, you won't find this much sheer nonsense anywhere else. My apologies—I suppose those are just the usual pearls of wisdom you'd find in some cheap tabloid.

Of course you need breakfast! You absolutely NEED energy to make it all the way to lunch! What is this ridiculous obsession with skipping meals and following these fad diets? 🙄
I can see it now—McGrath will come strolling in here any minute to suggest you buy his super shake. 😬

To get back to the point: I eat breakfast every single day. Usually, it’s a bowl of fresh cottage cheese and a handful of rolled oats—plus a spoonful of flaxseeds for good measure. It keeps me going until lunch. (Which, in my case, doesn't happen until five in the afternoon.)

it's nothing more than following some fleeting health fad

I am genuinely curious—truly, deeply wondering—when common sense will finally make a comeback in the mainstream. 😁 Though, I suppose if everyone started acting rational, we wouldn’t have nearly enough ridiculous topics to joke about here on the forum...

Drinking eight glasses of water by 4:00 PM—that’s just one glass every two hours! It's hardly an excessive amount, if you ask me.
Honestly, I think you're overstating the whole thing. 🙄

Well, yeah, it *is* too much! And you can roll your eyes at me all you want—it won't change the facts. 😁

Oh, please—give me a break! You sound just like one of those tacky late-night infomercials.

fadedsailor932... even my folks used to swear by coffee. 😎 If it had actually done anything, I’d have bought them the entire plantation by now...

Now, this right here? This is my absolute favorite little nugget of wisdom. 🙄
As for the rest of the list—well, I’m a bit more skeptical, if I’m being honest. I mean, if anyone actually figured out how to dodge daily stress without becoming a Zen monk living in a remote monastery, they could just hand over all five tips and call it a day!

fadedsailor932, I am honestly just so thrilled to hear you’ve managed to get past that!
My sister—bless her heart—has tried absolutely everything under the sun (and yes, I still vividly remember those days with baba spasiti and that unbearable stench lingering in the house 🙄 😁 ), but in most cases, there just isn't a magic fix. Psoriasis is one of those chronic conditions you basically have to learn to live with—it's more about management than a total cure. Now, eating clean (or, let's be honest, actually maintaining a healthy lifestyle) can certainly bolster your immune system and make you feel better overall, but it won't magically make the psoriasis vanish into thin air.

Honestly, this whole situation just begs for a spectacular celebratory feast. 😁
And then—of course—you’d have to invite all your clones to join in on the fun!
That’s such a relief—I was honestly starting to worry I was slipping into a depressive episode myself... 😲
(It tends to happen to me whenever I sleep on my back, and then I end up having these vivid dreams where I can't catch my breath.)

Oh, sure... the world is absolutely overflowing with these "miracle cures"... if that were true, why on earth does about 10% of the American population still struggle with psoriasis?🙄>
jadesailor14 said:Perhaps I might, too—though I can't say for certain just yet!
The kids keep trying to talk me into it—you know how they are, always pushing for the latest thing—but honestly? This is the soundtrack of MY youth! It’s just part of my DNA at this point.
It would honestly be such an incredible experience—just absolutely stellar—to take Mom to a concert! I mean, can you even imagine? It’s one of those things that sounds simple on paper, but when you really sit down and think about the sheer joy of seeing her face light up when the music starts... well, it’s everything. Just a total dream scenario!

Honestly, I have to say—your photo is just immeasurably more beautiful! It’s truly on another level—there's no even comparing them!

🥳 Hey there, hey! Just checking in while I tackle this pile of paperwork—honestly, it feels like I'm drowning in files here!

Oh, really? Well—if I may be so bold—I’ve tested my own expertise on myself first, and then moved on to others. And unlike you, I did it all for free! Plus, I think I come across as a bit more convincing—maybe it's because I'll eventually find a better photographer.

The results I'm pulling off right now far outweigh the knowledge I currently possess—and honestly, I suspect that kind of thing is just irritating to someone like you, making it quite difficult for you to accept. 😉 🙂

WOW! 🙏 I am absolutely speechless here...

And me with The Dubliners

Just you wait—I'm heading to a Depeche Mode concert in three months. Then, once I get that perfect photo with Dave... 😍
jadesailor14 said:Are you actually blind??

I mean, seriously—the guy literally TOOK A PHOTO with a Nobel Prize winner! 😲 😲 😲

And you’re *really* sitting there asking who he is????

Well, I once grabbed some selfies with Tim Howard and Snoop Dogg back when they were playing for the LA Galaxy—does that count for anything either? 😬
frozenlynx33 said:I mean, honestly—who do you think you are to be questioning this? Seriously! Are you really suggesting that your personal opinion carries more weight than an entire elite team of experts at UCLA, led by a literal Nobel Prize winner? It’s almost comical! You have sixty different state health departments all running their own rigorous checks and balances, working in tandem to ensure everything is above board—and yet, here we are. It’s like trying to argue with the entire scientific community based on a hunch!

And who exactly are you to think I should just take your word for it? Honestly!—I mean, let’s be real here—where is the proof? Where is the credibility? It’s like someone walking up to you on a street corner in New York City and claiming they have the secret formula for the perfect sourdough, and you're just supposed to nod along? Not likely! One has to wonder about the foundation of such claims—it's all about the authority behind the statement, isn't it? So, I have to ask: what makes your perspective any more valid than anyone else's out there?
jadesailor14 said:When I signed up to be a guinea pig for this healing thing, CNN wrote about who he was even feeding, and 🙂
honestly—just looking at the photo of his... well, let's call it "unimpressive" physique—it killed any spark I had left in me.

So yeah, the whole experiment was dead in the water before it even got off the ground.

Oh, I know that feeling all too well! I actually thought you might have shared a few more, ahem, personal little tidbits. 😁

Now, I don't need him to feed *me*—perish the thought!—but I would absolutely love to get my hands on those "miracle products" of his and run a full analysis. Not orally, obviously.

I’m not really the type to spend my afternoons digging through academic journals or dense scientific papers just to get into the weeds of the details.

Well, see, that's exactly where we differ! That's why we actually know what we're talking about here. I’m certainly not going to go wandering over to the New York Times or some high-brow Social Science journal to lecture people, mostly because I don't claim to be an expert in those fields anyway.
jadesailor14 said:So you actually got an answer from me? 😁

Taylor Swift? A love letter sitting right there in the DMs? 😍

And hey—I really need to set the record straight here! I was just looking over the undergraduate curriculum at P&G—specifically the nutrition track—and they actually have courses like "Selected Chapters in Functional Human Anatomy," "Fundamentals of Human Physiology," and even "Immunology for Nutritionists." It’s probably just the basics, mind you... though it sounds much more intense than I first thought!
frozenlynx33 said:It’s not about selling

FANTASTIC. Seriously—just send me a box of this "assistance" of yours, or whatever you want to call it, and I will personally run some tests on it here in my lab. I'll be sure to publish the full findings right here on Reddit.
Since you aren't actually selling anything...

driftinggull13 said:Of course not! We really need to beef up the medical side of things—honestly, I’ve heard so many wild stories about how those programs ended up turning out. Personally, if you ask me, this whole subject feels more like medicine or perhaps some kind of interdisciplinary study. But hey, that’s just my two cents!

It’s true—it’s missing physiology, anatomy (though I’m speaking from memory here, I haven't checked the latest curriculum lately!), and it definitely needs more hands-on practical work—maybe they updated that too, 😬. An interdisciplinary study does sound quite sophisticated! Medicine itself is just so incredibly complex, and then if you try to fold nutrition into the mix... well, that's just my opinion, anyway—I actually gave up on pursuing medicine back in my seventh year of school.

frozenlynx33 (though "guinea pig" might be a better fit for you, but alright...), how can you claim to be such a steak salesman when you're out here hunting for victims on a forum? If you’re truly as skilled as you say, how is it that you haven't managed to talk anyone here into buying your nonsense yet?
