No big deal. I handed him the fish, but you’re the one who actually taught him how to fish. 😉

In this specific cell range, if the sum is less than twenty, I want it to just show 20. If it's higher than that, it should just display the actual total.
I tried playing around with this formula, but I feel like I'm missing something crucial and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.
=IF(SUM(B3🙂6)<20;"20")

You're missing the third argument—basically, you need to tell the formula what to do when the condition isn't met, which in this case is to just show the sum.

Code:
=IF(SUM(B3:B6)<20;20;SUM(B3:B6))

I’m right there with you. 🙂

I steer clear of the American film industry entirely lately; I haven't even touched something like "The Civil War Chronicles."

Honestly, if you want the best bang for your buck, you should just stick to Skype.
You can toss in maybe $10 or $20 and just call landlines or cell phones all day long without worrying about the bill.

I’ve got a buddy out in Australia who’s been using it for a month now; he just dropped about $20 USD on credit and hasn't looked back.
What bugs you about this forum? in Miscellaneous ·
The absolute slowness of this forum is my biggest grievance by far.
About 60% of the time, the damn thing won't even function—it just refuses to load threads.

And I know for a fact it isn't on my end; every single time this happens, I’ll open a new tab and pull up a reliable site like YouTube or Facebook, and they pop right up in a split second.
Seriously, is it that hard to find some decent hosting?
Bad actors (A-list or close to it) in Movies ·
It’s Brad Pitt for me, hands down.

He mentioned before that he used to smoke obsessively, so maybe that’s why he carries this goofy, half-baked smirk through almost all his roles.
Basically, the guy can tank any movie just by being in it.

I actually sat through "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" because a few people on here recommended it.
Man. It was so bad it was practically a comedy. There’s this one specific scene stuck in my head where Ford and his brother are
trying to hash things out, whispering to each other, when suddenly Pitt storms in. He starts yelling at them, but he looks like he’s about to burst out laughing at any second.🙂
That’s how he comes across in most of his movies.
And don't even get me started on Meet Joe Black.

The names and numbers can stay put in their respective cells, but what I actually need is to take the people from the second column—like those guys from Los Angeles—and pair them up with the corresponding amounts from the first column. Everything needs to be grouped together properly.

Ah, my bad.
Look, I whipped up a quick macro for you; hopefully, this hits the mark.
Just a heads-up, if the program asks you when you open it, you’ll need to enable macros.

http://we.tl/UlpbQHSokZ

Just copy and paste all your data into this document and then hit the "Names" button.
Joseph Fisher2 said:I have what should be a pretty straightforward question here:

I've got this Excel spreadsheet with four columns.

Mark 200 Pero 300
Pero 900 George 100
Chicago 300 Los Angeles 400
Marija 500
George 500
Los Angeles 50

How on earth do I merge the names from one column with the values from another? 😁
Basically, I need it to look like this:

Mark 200
Pero 900 Pero 300
Chicago 300
Marija 500
George 500 George 100
Los Angeles 50 Los Angeles 400

Thanks!

Look, if you have "Mark" sitting in cell A1 and "200" in cell A2, then you just do this:
The formula:
=A1 & " " & B1

See, that ampersand symbol (&) is your concatenation tool. You could technically just write =A1&A2
but unless you want everything smashed together like "Mark200", you need that space in quotes to keep it readable.

If you're trying to pull data from four different cells, the logic stays exactly the same:
The formula:
=A1 & " " & B1 & " " & C1 & " " & D1

RESTECP 😉
There’s absolutely no way to change that setting directly.
That is exactly why columns exist in the first place—you can just manually enter your own numbering sequence right there in the cells.

If you really want to get around it, a little workaround would be to hide, say, the first 123 rows, and then the display will start counting from row 124 instead.
Arthur Anderson49 said:Some stupid little glitch with Microsoft Word.

Help me out here.

Have you tried right-clicking that .doc file and going to Open with -> Choose default -> Open with -> Choose default? Does Word 2003 even show up in that list?

There’s another workaround if you want to bypass the menus entirely—just treat it like you're on a Mac. You just grab the .doc file and drag and drop it directly onto the Word 2003 icon on your desktop. Literally just pull the file over the icon and it should force itself open in Word 2003. Of course, you actually need to have a shortcut for Word 2003 sitting on your desktop for that to work. If that helps at all... 🙂
I honestly can't wrap my head around this list. It just doesn't sit right with me. Putting massive blockbusters like The Dark Knight or The Return of the King in the same breath as true cult classics like 12 Angry Men or The Godfather feels wrong—even if I did go ahead and group them together myself 😁 .

Looking at these voting results, it's either because we're all way too obsessed with Hollywood, or there's just a massive influx of kids on this forum. Honestly, it's probably both.
It should work if you use CTRL + click.
Try doing it manually instead. Just type directly into the cell
Code:
=SUM(

Then, hold down the CTRL key while clicking on every single cell you want to include in the total. Once you've clicked them all, don't forget—for heaven's sake—to close the parenthesis.

Another way to handle this is by typing out the specific cell addresses within the formula yourself.
Based on what you described, your formula should look like this:
Code:
=SUM(H4;H68;H459)

Basically, you type =SUM followed by the addresses of all the cells you need to add up inside the parentheses, separating each one with a semicolon.
12 Angry Men is hands down the best one here; honestly, the only thing on this list that could even come close is The Godfather.

I felt the exact same way about the movie. It wasn't anything groundbreaking, but I wouldn't call it bad either. Just a middle-of-the-road experience for me.
The opening definitely hooks you, but things spiral into a bit too much action later on for my liking.

swiftsurfer27: if you're more into dramas, you should check out Triage. It’s a fantastic film, and honestly, Farrell was incredible in it—he really caught me off guard with how good he was.
And should I be rounding those figures, or is the result going to come out as, say, an hour and a half?
For instance, if we're looking at 98%—is the final answer supposed to be 3h, or maybe 1:45h (or something along those lines, I'm just typing this out from memory)?

I’m honestly floored by how Mark Webber’s car just gave up on him while Sebastian Vettel didn't face any issues at all. Is this really the first time we've seen such a massive discrepancy between them? 😁
placidridge2 said:What drivers did Alonso overtake to get up to the Scuderia Ferrari? None. The only thing clearly visible was him trailing behind Nico Rosberg, yet his fans jumped to defend him, acting like they were praying for a collision or a Safety Car just to close the gaps. Through all that chaos, the Ferrari pit wall basically handed Alonso second place on a silver platter.

The sheer level of mastery Alonso displayed today is best proven by one simple fact: he spent ten laps stuck right behind Valtteri Bottas.

That goes for everyone else out there, too. It’s incredibly rare to see anyone actually making a move on anyone else today.

And honestly, that mindless trash you're talking about regarding following F1? That's entirely on you.

Good grief, man. If you can't wrap your head around the fact that someone fighting through a pack isn't going to clock identical lap times to the guy leading the race, then we have absolutely nothing to talk about.

Also, if you only started watching racing recently, don't feel like you need to hide it. We all had a "Day One."

But since you're clearly a Red Bull fan, there are really only two possibilities here:
1. You're a newcomer who just picked the winning team to cheer for (which is fine—I did the same thing when I was a kid, rooting for McLaren and Ayrton Senna).

2. You're a total bandwagoner who ditched your actual favorite team for Red Bull the second they started winning.

There is no third option.

Regardless of whether you're a rookie or just someone without any loyalty, your opinions here are completely irrelevant and worthless.
