Edward Howard2 said:>>those 10 spots? honestly, that's way too light a sentence for that bummer. they should've just put him at the back of the grid.
rosberg shouldn't have even been penalized either, because by basically cleaning up that bummer, he actually brought some justice to the race. He just finished off the guy who, if luck had been on his side—maybe with a little bit of pushing or a quick fix in the pits—would've probably kept racing. So, by crashing, rosberg didn't really mess things up for raikkonen since the bummer was already out of the equation thanks to himself. He didn't hurt anyone besides his own chances, so the penalty feels unnecessary.

look, you can't mix hating on hamilton with just looking at the actual facts...

yeah, he messed up, he totally did, but there was zero intention behind it...

I mean, think about what happened with sutil and raikkonen in monaco...

I said the exact same thing back then—in my opinion, kimi shouldn't have been punished because he wasn't trying to cause trouble...

And honestly, here we go again: coulthard's just being an idiot and taking out two drivers in two straight races, yet nobody says a word.🤷

Edward Howard2 said:you're forgetting how Nick Heidfeld was absolutely tearing it up against Kubica last year?
and honestly, he should've walked away with the win in this race too...

I'm right there with you. And regarding Nick Heidfeld, I really think he's an incredible driver who just never actually got a shot at the title with a car built to win it....

I mean, looking back at those younger generations, he proved he knew exactly how to win even in a Mercedes, and to this day, I still don't get why Kimi ended up getting the edge over him. 🤷

Jason Campbell70 said:Niko Kranjčar played pretty well today, even if he wasn't actually playing left back, so when his energy started flagging, it just left this massive gap in the defense right behind him.

Or were you thinking about Kovač?😕

Since you brought up Kranjčar... I was mostly thinking about how he had to step up and play for that absolute clown Pranjic.🙏

Bradley Nelson2 said:That’s just how things go when you're part of the inner circle 😁

Man, forget it. That’s why I say I’ve got faith in the kid. I mean, look at the track record—everybody who crushes F2 or even finishes up in F3000 ends up getting handed a seat in a much better car...

then you look at Nick, right? He spent two years as a Mercedes test driver, was runner-up, then champion, and still nothing. Just got stuck with a total lemon 👎

Jason Campbell70 said:so basically😲

🙄

Massa's the champ, or should I say, in the style of that one troll we all know—GO FELIPE GO🙏

Maybe I am just some guy getting mocked online, and honestly, I don't even know who's doing the laughing, but looking at how this season is playing out, it turns out I was right all along while you're just talking nonsense🤷

Besides, you're coming off like some cranky person who's just in a bad mood and hates everything🤷

Nothing is ever good enough for you, right? You're just trashing everything in sight...

You mock Massa, yet everything you say misses the mark, meanwhile, the guy is holding his own against the competition and doing just fine🤷
It’s a problem whenever Hamilton wins because apparently he doesn't know what he's doing and the BMW is garbage...

Basically, nobody meets your standards and everything is just trash to you
🙄

I don't see the issue😕
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
So, I guess I totally blew it. Like, looking back, this guy was actually insane—he was the runner-up in F3000 in '98 and took the title in '99. On top of all that, he was already pulling test driver duties for McLaren during that championship season... just to land himself a seat in the Prost Peugeot for 2000. 👎

Bradley Nelson2 said:so looking at this season, you can see there's 😁

you know what I mean? like, look at Lewis Hamilton—he wins a F2 title and suddenly he's sitting in a McLaren seat. meanwhile, if I remember right, Nick was a two-time champ and just... nothing. just totally overlooked. 🤷

thank god you finally decided to join us in reality...

which one is...

don't leave me hanging here 🤷

Bradley Nelson2 said:he showed he knows how to win... just not in Formula 1. And everyone wins somewhere else, otherwise they wouldn't be in Formula 1. What a stupid argument. Sorry for the language, but I can't put it any other way.

Man, seriously, Bradley Nelson2, you're really giving him a hard time...

Sure, everyone wins stuff somewhere, obviously, but let's be real—the guy was driving a McLaren Mercedes, and I know that because I used to watch every single race on ESPN when I was a kid, and every time I tuned in, the guy was absolutely tearing it up...

He was honestly a beast of a driver. I don't know how closely you actually follow his career, but people used to say he was basically destined for Formula 1 greatness...

And then the shock came, Kimi Räikkönen shows up and totally wrecked his momentum 🤷
And forget all that talk about winning in Formula 1, because the guy never actually had a car capable of winning races 🤷

I'll admit, he hasn't been in top shape this season, but that's just how it goes. He wasn't exactly going to be winning anything in a Sauber. But then again, if he had moved to Mercedes at the same time as Kimi Räikkönen, who knows what would've happened? Maybe Nick would be where Kimi is today 🤷
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Jason Campbell70 said:Man, you totally blanked on Kimi🙄

Seriously though, you're tearing him apart, it's not like you're giving him any slack at all...🤷

But hey, this whole hierarchy thing is just how it goes...

I really doubt Kubica and BMW are gonna step up and actually fight for the championship title...
Maybe I'm off base, but honestly, the only guy who could even dream of challenging Ferrari might be Hamilton...

And we could end up seeing a total repeat of what happened last season. If Massa gets close to Kimi toward the end, things are gonna get wild—and then Massa will definitely start crying foul about everything being equal, especially after that last race and how they helped Kimi out......

Basically, looks like we've got a fun season ahead of us...

Anyway, does anyone know when the race replay is gonna be posted???
😕
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
hey guys, if it's not too much trouble, could someone just list out the last eight laps? also, what lap are we actually on right now... are we getting close to the finish or what???🤷
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
wait, which Massa are we talking about??? why was he sitting in dead last for a bit??🤷
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
placidsurfer9 said:Robert Kubica is gonna be braking just enough so Kimi can pull away, basically leaving Kimi without
enough juice to make a move around the pits, even though he'll still be stuck on the track
trailing Kimi for a few more laps!! 😁

Yeah, but you gotta remember, at every single race so far, Ferrari has left Kubica hanging right at the start 👍
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
u hey, does anyone actually know what time the race starts???
😕
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Man, I totally drifted off during Q3 and completely missed how Massa managed to pull off P6. Can someone please catch me up on what actually happened there?

Honestly, I’ve learned my lesson with these "expert" pundits on here...🤣 they never seem to get a single thing right...

They saw Massa go off track at the start of race one and now they won't shut up about how he can't hold his own against anyone. They conveniently forget that throughout the season, his car consistently has some of the best starts on the grid...🤷

I think I even saw a commentator saying the exact same thing...

Look, if Massa can just put in the work and outpace Kimi, I'll be a happy man.🙏

I'm not losing sleep over Alonso. Last season, he was flying off into the gravel traps every other turn anyway.😁 I think that's where Massa has his real chance to make a move right at the green flag.🤣

The way I see it, this race is going to be a total mess with tons of collisions. Massa really needs to keep his head on straight because any DNF is going to absolutely tank his championship hopes.👎

just like always, I’m counting on seeing one or two Ferraris with Felipe Massa leading the charge 🙏

Austin Evans said:I'm with you on that.
If it actually turns out to be true.

Everyone sees things differently, I guess.🤷

That's just how it goes now, but man, remember that first race when Lewis Hamilton just tore away from everyone? We all thought Mercedes was going to absolutely dominate this season too.🤷
Spain Matchday 27 - April 27, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
Austin Evans said:What's said above isn't being cocky, it's just the straight truth.
Even Jergović admitted at the end that he was running that Ferrari at maybe 80-85% capacity.

Yeah, but looking at the big picture, that still comes off as pretty arrogant...
I get that they weren't pushing to the limit, but honestly, saying it like that feels dumb because tomorrow Mercedes could tweak one tiny little thing and suddenly you're looking at 🤷

Personally, if I were behind the wheel, I'd never say something like that. And that's separate from the whole issue where Massa isn't even allowed to fight Kimi Raikkonen if he actually wanted to...

And I'm not even saying this as a Massa fan, just observing. I watched yesterday and Massa had an awesome start—he could have even caught up to Kimi—but instead, he’s just hanging back like a total idiot.

Maybe they're just terrified of messing up like Ferrari did last year, so they're sticking to the "first one off the line stays in front" rule and calling it a day.🤷
