Sarcoma diagnosis/discussion in Health ·
Sarcomas are just one of those brutal types of cancer where, in about 80% of cases, they aren't really curable, and things tend to move incredibly fast, often claiming a life within just six to eight months... I know how heavy that is to hear, but that’s just the reality of it... my aunt passed away in only six months.

Heartbreak in Health ·
...it’s really nothing to worry about, your mind is just playing little tricks on you
Honestly, my wife used to get totally obsessed with reading these women's lifestyle magazines, and before you knew it, she’d completely quit smoking and cut out half the stuff in her diet too... she just started buying into all those health trends they push in the glossy pages
Whether we’re talking about hands or feet, my toenails have been curling inward for as long as I can remember, and honestly, nothing ever seems to change it
Coughing? in Health ·
It’s tapering off... though it hasn't quite reached full maturity yet, so I'm still having a hard time getting everything out... but it’s looking good... I stopped by to see my doctor and he said there isn't any throat infection at all.

I went through all the full scans and chest X-rays back in January 2008... I was prepping for a basketball tournament at the time, and everything came back perfectly fine

Sandra Martin72 said:It could be anything from a simple common cold to bronchitis or maybe just some seasonal allergies, but honestly, any cough that hangs around for more than two weeks really warrants a trip to the doctor, so you should probably go get checked out.

I haven't dealt with allergies once in all my years... I picked up some over-the-counter cough medicine last night and things seem to have settled down a little bit.

I’ve been dealing with this cough for about two weeks now, and it’s finally reaching that point where it’s just plain irritating... I don't have a fever, and I’m not feeling particularly wiped out—I can function just fine—but I’m coughing enough to worry about my upcoming training schedule. I’m hacking up bits of white phlegm here and there, though it feels like the more I cough, the less actually comes up, almost as if it hasn't quite loosened yet. To manage it, I’ve been sticking to fruit juices and honey every morning, plus just eating regular meals. I don't smoke myself, though I do spend a fair amount of time moving around near people who do. I've never had any history of lung issues before this. Is there really any reason to be concerned?
Secondhand smoke concerns in Health ·
You can always find a way to get laid when you're out in the city......

besides, smoking is pretty much on par with using drugs.....except that if you're a smoker, your head stays relatively clear.....whereas drugs tend to send you into some kind of trance.....

and honestly, whether it's one or the other, we all end up in the same grave......there aren't really any rules to it......

It’s honestly a bit of a shame... this really ought to be a headline discussion rather than just getting buried in some obscure corner of the forum.
What's trending in music right now? in Music ·
Personally, I tend to run in circles with people who are mostly into that classic 80s and 90s pop-rock vibe—think more along the lines of Hall & Oates—or maybe some newer stuff like Breakbeat. As for everyone else, I honestly couldn't care less.
My mom tried to quit before, but she just couldn't make it stick... until one day she finally hit her breaking point and tossed the whole pack herself, and honestly, she’s been clean for almost four and a half months now.

Breathing exercises? in Health ·
I had my lungs imaged and went through all the tests about six weeks ago, and everything came back perfectly fine... but I can't help wondering if it’s just a buildup of mucus, since I’ve been stuck with this dry cough. It feels a bit odd given that I'm relatively young, being only 20 😁

Over the last two years, I've mostly been dealing with secondhand exposure... it feels like there's just this constant sensation stuck in my throat.
Breathing exercises? in Health ·
It feels like I’m hitting these weird little walls with my breathing sometimes... almost like there's this constant weight sitting right on top of my lungs that I just can't seem to cough up or shake off. It isn't like I'm struggling to catch my breath or getting winded easily, and I haven't run a fever or anything, nor is there really a cough or anything similar going on. I honestly just don't know what's happening with me, though I have tried doing those deep inhale and exhale cycles about twenty times in a row to see if it helps, and it does seem to work for a moment.

Just keep training, keep pushing, and everything will eventually fall into place... your muscles are currently in that critical phase where they actually need to build up strength. A lot of people get it wrong and decide to quit the moment they feel a bit of soreness, but that’s exactly when you need to lean in and work even harder once those muscles start feeling that inflammation.
My mom finally kicked the habit after nearly 35 years, and honestly, she hasn't touched one in almost six months now. It’s quite something.

As for me, I’ve been smoking since I was 14, and deep down, I know the clock is ticking and I really ought to quit. I’ve tried making the break before, but there always comes this specific phase where I end up treating cigarettes like a box of chocolates—just picking them off one by one—and then the whole cycle resets. I suppose I’ll get there eventually. Right now, I just try to pace myself so a single pack lasts me about two or three days. If I were to give any advice to someone actually looking to quit, I’d say don't do it just because you're afraid of getting sick; fear isn't a strong enough anchor. You need to find a real, driving purpose or a goal that actually matters to you. For those who aren't ready to stop just yet, I'd suggest sticking with Marlboro Ultra Light.

Or maybe the medium ones, which are pretty much perfect, though unfortunately, they aren't really available here in the States; I used to smoke them for a bit when I was traveling through Germany.

HELP!!! Urgent! in Health ·
You should go see a gynecologist and just hear what they have to say, but if you ask me, I’d really advise against ending the pregnancy... my own sister ended up having her baby when she was only sixteen back in the nineties, and yeah, things were a little rough at first because of how people judge you, but honestly, that doesn't compare to anything when you consider the child—that whole new life unfolding. Life itself is simply priceless.
My niece is sixteen today, which is funny because she’s actually just a few years younger than I am, though we get along famously... my sister moved forward with her life beautifully, got married, and everything is just perfect now.
