I checked it out yesterday and honestly, it’s pretty awesome, even though I'm not even really a Resident Evil fan... Just give me zombies, plenty of shooting, some explosions, massive monsters, and a cool Leon—that’s more than enough for me.
The only real thing is that the lip-syncing and facial animations could've been a bit smoother, but whatever...

Yeah, I actually loved it! Loved it like hell, just like I did with The Machine Girl. I mean, it’s a movie where a half-naked cowgirl named Buffy (couldn't they have picked a cooler name?) just wanders around slaughtering zombies. What else do you even need from a flick like that?
And then there's that final showdown between Aya and Buffy, when they start teleporting around and tapping into Krypton to toss those ki-blasts everywhere... honestly, it felt just like watching Dragon Ball Z...
The movie is this brilliant satire, and honestly, I had such a blast watching them take shots at religion—which has basically been the biggest enemy and mass killer on this planet since humanity even showed up...
When that woman Holly starts praying and rambling about faith on the planet, my favorite part was when she realizes Sky Marshall Anoke doesn't exactly worship the same "God" she does, leading to this exchange:
Bull Brittles: He thinks God is a Bug? Lola Beck: He's got religion. Their religion. Holly Little: Bug religion? Bull Brittles: That's crazy. Holly Little: That's blasphemy! Bull Brittles: What do we do now? Holly Little: Maybe we should kill him. Lola Beck: Why, because he's crazy? Or he believes in God like you? Holly Little: It's The wrong god !
One word—brilliant...
Then, right when the Behemacoytl attack and Holly and Lola start praying, with Holly shouting, "God, send us angels from Heaven!", Rico drops down with his Marauders. Are weapons of mass destruction considered angels now? Haha...
Just brilliant...
And then, all these experts across the United Nations conclude: a) God definitely exists b) He’s on our side c) He’s a citizen of the United Nations and wants us to win

But the absolute peak is the final scene. First, they’re debating on the Federal Network TV commercials whether using a devastating Q-Bomba that could wipe out an entire planet is actually ethical, or if they should just drop it on the bug planet OM-1...
Man: Why not? A bug wouldn't hesitate to use it! Woman: Yeah, but aren't we better than them?
And there's your answer. The bomb is en route, while Dix and Lola are in their starship watching it descend. Lola tells him how she found religion and God down on the planet, and Dix just gives her this confused look. After a beat of silence, he just says: Well, nobody's perfect. 🙏🙏🙏
Then comes the kiss while, in the background, the bomb beautifully tears the planet apart...
What’s the one word that comes to mind? Oh, right. BRILLIANT! 🙏🙏🙏

They’re all chasing the same target—some mad scientist responsible for unleashing this whole zombie outbreak...
It’s genius. Just brilliant. Total Good Will Hunting vibes. Honestly, they should be teaching this stuff at film schools—how to pull off such damn cool special effects on a shoestring budget using nothing but clever, simple tricks...
"John Rambo", "The Onion Movie", "The Machine Girl", and now "Kill Bill" are sitting pretty as my first four picks for the "top 5 film 2008"... I'm thinking "Punisher: War Zone" will take that fifth spot...
Seriously though, don't sleep on this masterpiece...
Man, I am seriously counting down the days until this movie drops! I’ve always been a huge fan of guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgren, and even Tim Dudikoff... but there's just something about Sly and JCVD that hits different. To me, Sly is a total genius (like I've said a million times before), and Van Damme has surprised me so many times with his talent—he's easily my favorite out of that whole crew.
He is definitely an underrated actor, too! I'm really hoping this project finally gives JCVD the respect he deserves...
I gotta say, this is easily one of the best movies I've ever laid eyes on. My God, there are so many killer moments tucked away in "The Marvel Girl"...
It honestly felt a bit like that first time I watched "Evil Dead"—well, almost, since "ED" is pretty much untouchable...

And then there’s that Krotchy doll—which is shaped like, well, you know... the thing—that says when you pull the little string on its backside: "Only my father and my priest can touch me there". My priest... good grief... 🙏
Or that dark joke that most people might actually miss, when the news reports on that tanker sinking while carrying a shipment of those Krotchy dolls: "Sadly, the Chinese tanker bringing them over here sank. They were able to save about 100,000 dolls. Unfortunately, none of the crew was rescued." 🤣

Just finished watching it. Honestly, "Postal" is a straight-up masterpiece of trash cinema. It’s so wildly politically incorrect and just completely unhinged that I know I’m gonna be obsessed with this for a long time...
There’s even a bit where Uwe Boll shows up himself playing the owner of a Naza amusement park, claiming his whole operation is funded by Nazi gold, only to get jumped by vince Desiderio—the guy who actually created the Postal game—because he totally trashed the adaptation. He just yells "For videogames!" and shoots Boll right in the balls.
The jokes are everywhere, and if you're the kind of person who gets this stuff, you're gonna love it. Personally, I was cracking up the whole time... I seriously can't wait to see the Unrated version.
There's also this extended scene where Uwe says: "My father died in Auschwitz. He fell from a guard tower." 🤣🤣🤣🙏🙏🙏
Idiocracy, honestly, feels like we’re getting uncomfortably close to that reality already...
Just to recap the plot for anyone who needs a refresher: Private Joe Bauers, basically the ultimate "average American," gets picked up by the Pentagon to serve as a test subject for some top-secret hibernation project. He ends up being forgotten, only to wake up 500 years down the line... where he realizes the world has become so staggeringly dim-witted that he’s accidentally become the smartest guy on the planet.

They aren't going to hand an Oscar to Transformers, not when there are so many beautiful, deep, and smart dramas just waiting for their turn... Maybe they'll pick them up for the special effects, though. I hope so...
It wasn't even localized into American English properly. They didn't even bother translating the names of the Transformers, so in the movie you get Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ironhide, Jazz, Bonecrusher, Frenzy, and so on, rather than some weird translated versions...
Plus, they didn't translate any of the other stuff related to Transformers -- The Cube, Allspark, Cybertron... everything else stays in the original English, since it isn't Japanese or anything...
Just got back from the premiere. To put it simply: PHENOMENAL! Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg didn't miss a single beat.
The effects are incredible and hit hard and often, but they don't step on the toes of anything else; the plot is solid too—nothing groundbreaking or deep, but it doesn't need to be, and it’s paced perfectly.
There is just so much good stuff here... specifically the humor, which is way better than those so-called comedies clogging up theaters lately. I can't even remember the last time I laughed that hard. And the romance isn't shoved in your face or even playing second fiddle; it's just tucked in there nicely, totally unobtrusive, and fits the whole vibe seamlessly.
You’ll find a few cliché moments that true action junkies are going to absolutely love (if you aren't an action fan, honestly, why are you even here?), and they'll definitely pull a smile out of you. There are even some Easter eggs scattered around, little nods to previous work by Bay...
The soundtrack is the usual high quality, with a few scenes that give off a bit of a Dwayne Johnson vibe, which is a nice touch if you ask me.
And yeah, for the people who are going to complain—NO, the movie is NOT realistic. There are plenty of stunts and impossible scenarios that wouldn't happen in the "real world," so anyone who starts whining... "Transformers suck because, like, they get hit by fifteen missiles and nothing happens." "Transformers suck because they just keep shooting and never run out of ammo." "It sucks because they jump twenty feet into the air." ...should probably just shut up, because frankly, they're being idiots. Overall, in my book, this is the best adaptation of an anime/manga ever made. Rating: 10/10.
