Don't you worry, it’s all about to kick off. Ever since yesterday, people have already started pulling their savings out of the banks, and I suspect we'll see more and more of that happening as long as this tense atmosphere persists—especially if someone at the top decides to make some nasty "cost-cutting" moves.
At the same time, you can bet they'll hike up interest rates on loans, jack up those monthly service fees, and squeeze us for every penny under the guise of a "credit rating downgrade" or some other equally ridiculous excuse...
Throw in a few delayed paychecks or late Social Security payments, and well—it’s going to be absolute chaos out there...

Kimi has a whole reservoir of KERS to play with, not just some little button.

I think most of us can vividly recall, or have certainly heard the legends of, that opening lap at Indianapolis 1993, where MS was actually one of the drivers being overtaken by Ayrton Senna. Yet, strangely enough, Senna isn't even on this list... Without me going out of my way to hunt down more data, it just seems to suggest the whole list was put together somewhat haphazardly...
My own hunch is that the first lap doesn't actually get counted toward the overtaking stats (unless I'm mistaken), and if we were to include those, the total for Juan Pablo Montoya would probably sit closer to 14 or 15.
That’s a heavy question to tackle right out of the gate... Honestly, I think we really need to sit back and see how these cars actually breathe on the track first. If the performance gap between the cars stays exactly where it was last season, then the lead driver at Ferrari will walk away with the title, regardless of who that person happens to be...
But, if the technical balance shifts even slightly, we could very well be looking at a complete shake-up in the championship standings...

Unless, of course, that German guy was busy testing his brakes inside a tunnel, 😁

Actually, if I may be so bold as to suggest, I think the situation is quite the exact opposite, just so we're all on the same page...
Robin Fisher53 said:Let me rephrase that... I really can't say anything definitive until they actually have a car that feels even remotely competitive...
Actually, let me correct myself there... I won't be making any judgments until they have a car that’s roughly on par with the rest of the grid... honestly, you're being a bit tedious about this now, man... even the FIA told you to tone it down, and at least they seem to be pulling for Michael, even if they could stand to be a little more realistic about it...
wearyraven41 said:Oh, don't you worry about that—they’d probably schedule half a dozen races in the Sahara just to make sure they don't run into a stray rain shower... Do you honestly think a bit of snow could catch them off guard when we haven't seen a single drop of rain all season?
Look, I get it, it's a bit pointless... But you have to admit, something like this would certainly crank up the hype and make Formula 1 a lot more interesting to watch.
I honestly think it would be quite refreshing if we just took a break over the summer months, allowing us to pivot toward winter racing instead—you know, the kind where they're tearing up the snow, using chains, and you see the drivers having to scrape ice off their helmets after a lap. It sounds a bit chaotic, I suppose, but at least during those sweltering summer weeks, one could actually enjoy a swim on Sundays without having to obsess over some mindless race...
Robin Fisher53 said:It isn't his fault for being the best... the only thing he could actually do is stop being so dominant just to keep everyone else happy... but if that’s what happens, is it even a sport anymore? And please, let's not descend into any nonsense regarding Russia🙂
Are you suggesting Ferrari might actually scale back, simply because they have the superior tactics and the fastest car on the grid?
