I have this habit of rejecting movies just because they're overhyped and everyone's raving about them.

So, I completely skipped Avatar and Montevideo Bog, and instead, I watched

The entire movie is uploaded on YouTube 🤣

God! Oh my God! Why have You punished me like this!? 🙏

Ugh, why did I even bother coming back to this thread? 🤦

I mean, seriously, what did they actually do to an absolute classic of American literature? 😢

That novel isn't some fairy tale... it’s a biting satire on the political climate of the US back then and on the entire human race itself.

But no, they had to go and throw in robots and have that total idiot playing the lead... 🙂

Prospera 🤦
Look, I love Helen, but this is just straight-up garbage... 👎

The second I see those hack actors on screen... I’m out. Not interested... 🤮

🤣

You should have seen how much my parents freaked out when they watched this for the first time... I even tried to warn them 😁

I’ve always had a soft spot for those Golden Age Hollywood actors... It’s such a shame they rarely air these classics anymore (or if they do, they dump them into some godforsaken time slot—like this musical marathon hitting at 2 in the morning)🙄

😍

I absolutely loathe it when they butcher classic literature just to churn out this kind of mindless garbage. 👎

Why on earth couldn't they have just put together a dignified adaptation of the books, covering all four volumes properly??? 😢

I honestly can't bring myself to watch anything where he acts...

This is just awful 🤦

What a total disaster... just how poorly made can something be?😲
It looks like some kids just threw together a collage during art class... absolute mess... 😛

I was actually just about to post her... she was absolutely precious...😢

The only thing even remotely worth watching in that movie was the main girl's prom dress

I honestly think it’s fantastic that they used actual actors... even under masks.
Nowadays, they'd probably just CGI half the cast... and frankly, I find that revolting.

Every single time this thing comes on, I find myself glued to the screen... even though, honestly, I can't stand musicals.
When I was a kid, I’d stay up until two in the morning just to catch it for the hundredth time whenever it aired on TNT.
What’s your take on this movie? For me, it’s easily one of the best films ever made 😍

Man... what a rush of nostalgia that movie brings back...😢

Rebecca Palmer said:it's just not 😢 it feels so underwhelming, though you don't really care about it much later on 😁
but Luke is 😍

Joe, I totally pictured Luke being more... husband material? I don't know...🤷

And I absolutely hate it when they don't stick to the book... it's just...👎👎

Does Isla have a British accent?
Is Becky actually British in this movie???
Because if she isn't...👎

What a total clown... I was actually terrified of the TV 🙂
