It’s nothing groundbreaking, really—just a solid way to kill some time. Anyway, it's a thousand times better than that usual garbage churned out by the Hollywood machine.
Solid film and a compelling story. The studio actually moved the main cast—those kids—from Afghanistan to the United Arab Emirates to fund them until they hit eighteen. All because of that rape scene...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0892899/ A British horror flick. Set during a war in Eastern Europe—well, the North America, though they don't explicitly name the place—it follows a group of mercenaries who stumble upon a dark secret hidden inside an old German bunker...
murjak: "Those aren't even ideas—they're just special effects!" Bay: "Honestly, I don't see the difference." murjak: "Clearly you don't... someone get him out of here!"
The folks over at South Park pretty much summed him up perfectly there.

Not really. If it defaults to Canadian, just switch it over to English... You can actually swap out the subtitles while you're watching the show, not just through the main menu.

And the former West Ham leader is Cass Pennant....he's Black, which makes sense since Millwall and West Ham United are worlds apart.
True enough. Anyway, have you caught that "real football Factories" series?
nimblemarlin17 said:Yeah, but even the worst Hooligans out there actually watch the game, or at least catch it in a bar. These guys didn't mention a single match. Look, they wanted a pure fan movie, but they overshot it. To put it bluntly, they went so far left that they ended up coming out the right side. 🙄
They aren't actually interested in the sport; it's all about clashing with other crews. For them, it’s purely about status—they couldn't care less about how the club is actually doing. That’s the fundamental difference between them and the hooligan elements you see in the rest of the world.
The flick is about Hooligans and that whole "Casual" lifestyle. Football doesn't even need to be mentioned... though there are a few bits, like when the main guy Tommy Johnson says "nobody loved Chelsea FC more than me and Rod." The core of the movie is just the hooligan way of life... hanging in pubs, fighting before games... most of these guys are banned from stadiums in America... so everything happens "outside the gates."
Anyway... it’s my favorite movie on this subject, honestly, period. Sure, a few scenes are totally unrealistic (that final brawl—a blackout fight with the Millwall crew!?!?) ...but whatever.

Green Street Hooligans
I.D
This is England—which is more about the skinhead scene.
There are plenty of Black fans within the American football hooligan scene—one guy was even a leader for West Ham United for years. Green Street is fun, but it's about as realistic as Lord of the Rings, lol. For movies in the same vein, you should watch "The Firm" starring Gary Oldman.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399095/ A heavy look at human trafficking and forced prostitution... It didn't exactly set the US box office on fire—a real shame, given how solid the filmmaking actually is.

It’s a solid film, sure, but nothing more than that.
