First off, I definitely agree that some absolute classics were left out, but how on earth is it possible that Pearl Harbor is pulling the most votes when there are so many heavy hitters on this list? I mean, we have Platoon—which is easily the best war movie in my book—and a whole bunch of other masterpieces, so seeing this result is just plain ridiculous.

Look, I’m just throwing my vote in for Where Eagles Dare—it’s an absolute war classic, and honestly, most of these newer flicks can barely touch it. And, just to keep this debate short, let's not even get started on Das Boot, U-571, The Heroes of Telemachus, or, if we're feeling generous, The Wild Geese. These modern war movies, like Pearl Harbor, just don't have that certain chemistry you need for a rewatch...
