So, I’ve been hearing everyone rave about this Google Search everything program, so I finally pulled the trigger and installed it. I was trying to track down a specific document just by typing in a few keywords from the text The thing is, it *does* find the file, but only if I point it directly at the exact folder where that file lives But that's not how I work! I need it to dig through all my subfolders too I’m totally stumped because I definitely checked the "include subfolders" box, yet it still won't find anything It’s doing the exact same thing with my photos—it just ignores the subfolders and sticks strictly to the main directory I give it Anyone else out there using this tool who can help me figure out how to make it actually work?
From what I gather, Microsoft Word actually lets you hunt down a specific word or phrase within a whole bunch of different documents at once But honestly, I’m totally lost on how to actually make that happen
I’ve got a mountain of Microsoft Word documents sitting on my computer and I’m trying to track down this one specific file. I have no clue what the filename is, but I definitely remember a exact sentence buried somewhere inside it. I heard there might be a trick to hunting down a file using just a snippet of text, but honestly, I'm totally lost on how to actually do it. Anyone out there know the secret?
So, we were digging through the junk drawer and stumbled upon this old WiFi adapter, “tl-wn722n” and honestly, we have no clue what to even do with it. We’ve got three laptops running around the house, so we're wondering if this thing could actually be useful for anything at all. What do you guys think?
So, I'm currently tackling a little apartment remodel. I went ahead and measured every single room and whipped up a rough floor plan in Adobe Illustrator, but man, I’m hitting a wall. I really need some ready-made assets because trying to draw everything from scratch is just going to be a massive headache. I'm looking for specific symbols: things like sinks, washbasins, toilets, stoves, washing machines, refrigerators, you name it. Basically, I need them as top-down architectural drawings. Does anyone know if there's a spot online where I can find stuff like this?
wearymason4 said:He could probably crawl onto that ancient (a,b,g) USB Wi-Fi adapter at maybe 27Mbps if he actually knew everyone's passwords, which—let’s be real—is basically impossible nowadays with WPA2 in the mix, no matter what he thinks he’s doing 😁
....it's kind of a waste of time messing around with Kali Linux and all those tools when you almost never run into a router or an AP these days that still has WPS enabled or uses WEP protection.
That’s exactly what I’m telling him—you can't just jump onto routers that have a password set And honestly, if there isn't a password, you don't even need those little buttons to connect Am I tripping here? I mean, I don't even get the point of those WPS buttons. Like, any laptop can just wirelessly hop onto any network as long as you've got the password, right?
For crying out loud, LogMeIn keeps cutting me off after just one minute of work! They’re claiming I’m using it for business, which is a total load of crap. I honestly only hop on it once in a blue moon to help out some family members with tech stuff. I reached out to them and they told me I need to fill out some random form, but I can't find anything on this link they sent over.
Here’s what they said: Please know that using Zoom for personal Use is Free. There can be cases where LogMeIn incorrectly detects commercial use and limits your connectivity even though you don't violate the license conditions. Please fill out the form that can be found in our community and our support team will help you further: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/...cted/ta-p/5265 We investigate every case and will resolve the issue if it has been limited by mistake.
So, me and a buddy were going back and forth on this one He picked up some "easy line wireless lan usb stick" rated at 54 mbps for his laptop and he’s out here telling me he can just hop onto any router in the neighborhood for free. Honestly? I'm not buying it. I mean, since basically every laptop these days comes with its own built-in Wi-Fi card, I don't really get why anyone would even bother with a stick like that.
So I just mapped out this three-stop route on Google Maps, and now I’m trying to get the whole thing over to Google Earth, but I’m hitting a total brick wall. I can't find a way to do it for the life of me. There’s gotta be a workaround somewhere, right? There's no way it's actually impossible. Anyone here know the trick to making this happen?
I'm thinking about picking up this induction cooktop, but I heard a rumor that you need some kind of special magnetic cookware to actually use it. Is that legit? Because if I have to go out and replace my entire kitchen set, then this whole thing is basically a waste of money for me.
So, I put together this sheet in Microsoft Excel and went to hit print. It spits out all the text just fine, but the actual table? Totally missing. It's just raw text floating there. Any idea how I can get it to actually print the table too?
So, I’ve got this AVI file, about 220 MB, runs for roughly 2 hours and 55 minutes. I tried tossing it up on YouTube, but as soon as the upload finishes, I get hit with a message saying "this video has been removed because it's too long." I’m totally stumped here. It makes zero sense to me, especially when I see videos all over YouTube—like full concerts or entire movies—that run for like 3 or even 4 hours straight. So why am I getting blocked? Does anyone know of another site where I could host this video instead?
I just grabbed the media creation tool and I'm currently grinding through this Windows 10 upgrade, but man, it's been over 2 hours and it’s still chugging along Once this whole thing finally wraps up, where am I supposed to hunt down the actual install file if I want to go for a totally clean installation of Windows 10?
Alright, I've decided to take the plunge and try installing Windows 10🙂 by wiping my C drive, but honestly, I could use a little backup here. So, I ended up on this page and I'm totally stuck on which option to pick: the 32-bit tool OR the 64-bit tool.
So, I just scored this Dell Inspiron running Windows 8 with 4 GB of RAM . I’m super used to Windows 7, though, and I’m dying to get it back on here. But a buddy of mine is telling me that since this thing came pre-loaded with Windows 8 right out of the box, it might be a total headache to switch. He says it’s technically possible, but I’ll probably have to mess around in the BIOS and deal with some real complicated stuff to make it work. Is he actually onto something here?
Ugh, nope. Just opened them up, but no luck—it keeps nagging me to update the app on my iPhone. I have zero clue why it keeps bugging me like this when I literally just downloaded the latest version.
Wireless via Wi-Fi My phone is showing me this info: Wifi IP: 192.169.1.25 Webcamoid port:4747. I punched those details straight into the Webcamoid client on my PC, but once I hit connect, it just spits back Invalid App version! You need to update DroidCam on your phone So, how do I actually run an update?
