Honestly, what a slog. I was counting down the days until this came out, and yet I barely made it to the credits. Look, Meryl Streep is incredible—no debate there—but I have to agree with what everyone else is saying: that sudden jump in the plot just makes zero sense. Such a letdown.

Honestly, she looked a little unhinged to me, sobbing away in the middle of the night.😁 Fine, fine, maybe she’s dissatisfied with life, but she’s so incredibly grating that you almost wish a Vespa would run her over in Italy. She’s always been airheaded, whether she was in Italy or India... It probably would have been cheaper if she'd just stayed home and found a psychiatrist like most other Americans.
Robin Diaz4 said:This actually reminds me of something... my friend's mother is never pushy at all. If you tell her you don't want food, she just drops it, no questions asked. It's perfectly fine... But then some guests came over who seemed to think it was totally normal to be badgered multiple times before finally agreeing to have a slice of cake. She brought the dessert out to the table—just waiting for someone to grab a piece—and they all insisted they wouldn't, thank you very much. So, she just picked the tray right back up since nobody was interested... You should have seen the sheer look of bewilderment on their faces... 🤣
Honestly, they deserved it. You can't act all polite and forced and then expect people to play along with your little social performance.😁
Andrew Roberts3 said:That all holds water, but how do you... For the love of everything sacred...Look, I’m just gonna say it... Gwyneth Paltrow can be seriously hot. There, I said it. Don't come at me... 😕🤷😉
🤣 She just comes off as moody and totally checked out to me. Iron Man 2 only works because Robert Downey Jr. is absolutely perfect in the role🙏, and I liked Rourke too, but everything else feels scattered and aimless. Given how good the first movie was, this really could have been much better.
This actually reminds me of a similar thread. Hey @Sam Evans11/">@@Sam Evans11, let's see how this one plays out on the forum:looking for Tom from Nica
Sam Evans11 said:🤣 hahaha, there is a pub, but it’s basically just a dive bar for people recovering at the hospital. I haven't even spotted the second one nearby. If I start looking any harder, I’m going to end up acting like some total stalker, and then I'll probably wind up checking into the hospital myself hahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
It definitely exists; there's a bar right next to the hospital. Why don't you just ask your cousin on the ward to hook you up with a spot?😬
I’m not even going to bother reading through zidić because those chat threads are exhausting; they’re just constant, mindless nonsense. Honestly, the whole off section is like that. So, I really don't get why their thread was nuked in the first place.
I have to say, seeing how they were handled actually caught me off guard. If I'm being objective, it doesn't look fair at all: a thread gets wiped, some people get hit with permanent bans, and yet nobody has actually explained what happened (not in any of the visible threads, anyway). It honestly feels like they were intentionally baited by having their thread deleted, only to be kicked off Reddit for good.
What on earth wouldn't you have signed if you actually took money from those lawyers? Seriously, don't let them screw you over just because you aren't in the mood to fight them. Go find another attorney and get a second opinion.
If you shut down your business six years ago, you've got to settle this with the IRS. You need to dig up those old files and prove exactly when and how you closed things down. Don't just sit around the house; head down to the local tax office, ask some questions, and actually push for a solution...
I caught it last night too. It’s honestly such an ominous film—you hit the nail on the head with your description. I probably should have sat this one out.😢 I see it's pulling a pretty solid rating, though.
The mods over at Psychology are actually top-tier; they consistently drop high-quality posts and keep things running smoothly without being heavy-handed about the rules. fairy and Gary James88 👍
a) A movie you’d actually walk out of the theater smiling; something genuinely inspiring, maybe even a romance filmed across some stunning US landscapes... I'm just over the endless stream of gritty dramas filled with nothing but misery, swearing, and social issues. b)
Michael Ortiz68 said:a.) Something based on the works of Ivana B. Mazuranic (like an old-school Price vibe) but executed with a twisted, dark aesthetic—think Tim Burton or del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth.
Now that's something I'd actually watch. Perfect idea.👍
A story like Zagorka would be fascinating for a screen adaptation, especially the secret bloody bridge, and there's one more thing I'd love to see on screen: Kumičić's Bewildered Wedding Guests.
slyfox8 said:Honestly, it just didn't cross my mind at the moment! About ten minutes later, I was kicking myself for being so clueless—I totally could have asked for her address and just dropped something off if I picked anything up. But oh well... what's done is done.
It’s hard to think straight in the heat of the moment, especially when you get caught off guard like that.😉 Let us know if she calls; we can all chip in to help out.🙂
