My mom was telling me about some guy who died because he ate too many rolls, but that’s probably a freak occurrence and hospitals today likely have protocols in place if something goes wrong. Anyway, nothing's happened so far and we love our cat... I wouldn't hand her over to someone who couldn't afford her properly.
Like I said, I’ve got the hang of certain things by now and I've seen it all before, but the real issue is keeping up with these projects. You have to turn them in exactly on schedule or you lose points. It’s a lot when you're juggling multiple projects while trying to study for exams at the same time.
Anyway, I'm just trying to push through. Sometimes I’ll pull a five-hour night if something urgent comes up, other times I’ll try to make up for it and sleep eight hours. Hopefully, I can survive another six months of this torture, though I'm getting more high-strung by the day and honestly just counting down the days until it's over. If I had a boyfriend, maybe it would be a little easier—he'd help me chill out, but since I don't... 🙂
Tell me if it’s actually dangerous to be running on just 4 or 5 hours of sleep... junior year has been absolutely brutal, and it honestly feels like the workload just keeps piling up higher and higher. It’s easily the hardest year yet.
I’m already completely burnt out and exhausted, but I guess I have to grind through it like everyone else. The real struggle is figuring out how to balance everything, stay organized, and maybe squeeze in more than five hours of sleep once in a while. And one last thing—is it even normal to feel this pushed to the limit when there are still seven months left? (Though we do get a 15-day break in mid-December) ????
thanks for the input. regarding the Maya, bad actors can weaponize anything, you never know... nanotechnology has come so far it’s actually insane, but the worst part is how people will twist it for evil ends, but... God is in control, and if you look at my other posts, you'll see I'm totally against those fake prophets and astrologers playing games and tricking people. They're just using tech to manufacture everything artificially.
The building’s about 20 years old, complete with a basement where everyone stashes their junk, like an old bike or whatever...
As for the mods, someone really needs to keep an eye on them to make sure they're actually pulling their weight...
Back when I dealt with cardboard boxes, I always knew I earned my keep, but this mod is messing up. They moved this thread to health instead of geology, but since there isn't a specific subforum for that, I guess science was the next best thing. And no, I wasn't talking about hearing loss—I wear a hearing aid...
Honestly, I couldn't care less about the Mayan calendar anymore. It's just pure Mason stuff, and even if it were true, all people would do is try to exploit the date...
Canada is nice, but the Midwest is beautiful too, right at the heart of everything...
placidjackal36 said:Move this over to Health. I’m skipping Psychology because they’re trying to turn that into some serious, high-brow subforum, whereas Health should be the place where we actually deal with stuff like this.
You really shot yourself in the foot there... I mean, geology is still a science, isn't it?... What are those guys even doing here... and where's Mujo dobro...
You might as well just delete the thread. When a moderator starts acting like they're superior to everyone else and tries to lecture people without even knowing what a geologist is, why bother humiliating yourself by bringing this back to health... If you think I started this topic because of hearing issues, you're dead wrong... Can one science moderator really not grasp that when you lose a sense like sight or hearing, your other senses become way more acute? I tried explaining how unsettling this feels living on the tenth floor in the middle of New York City, but I guess I see why people respond like this now. Probably hasn't been a single actual geologist here, just a bunch of people acting like they have all the answers... I was actually enjoying that deep dive into the Maya... then these guys show up acting like they own the science forum without ever stepping outside their narrow little bubbles. How am I supposed to stay interested when people can't just have a broad conversation...
dustypuma5 and bluepuma9 were the only ones who actually made sense here. They should be running this place... 🙂
Who actually runs this place? Someone needs to tell the owner that this moderator clearly hasn't earned his stripes... or even the basic knowledge required to be on this subforum. To those of you who hang around here regularly, please report this to the boss or just DM me and let me know who's actually in charge... thanks.
"DIVINE POWER," huh? Doesn't really fit if you don't believe in all those "higher powers" and their endless possibilities
We had an earthquake about a month ago here in the States, hit a 5.6 on the Richter scale, and the epicenter was only about ninety minutes away from me It lasted maybe two minutes and then stopped. Not even a single thing fell off my shelves. But this stuff happening near me right now... it’s going on day and night, five nights straight. We've had tremors before, but this is getting unbearable. My mom doesn't really feel it, but I do—I've got a crazy sense for vibrations since I'm deaf. So, I guess that's the logical way to wrap my head around this "divine power" thing
I’ve got a pretty heightened sense for vibrations since I’m almost deaf.
Lately, I’ve been feeling super on edge because I can feel these vibrations while I'm lying in bed, and the closer I get to the edge, the more intense they get. I can't really put my finger on it, but I know things are shifting with the Earth. I think we might be hitting some kind of end cycle, especially since I have some faith in Mayan prophecy and the wisdom they left behind. I wonder if this is all connected. This vibration is honestly getting on my nerves, and at the same time, it scares me thinking about what's coming next. Between the constant flooding, earthquakes, hurricanes, contaminated water, GMOs, and just how much human greed has spiked lately...
What do you guys think is actually going on???
I don't have an explanation for this vibration—I'm no astronomer—I just watch what's happening and make guesses. But this thing is heavy. Even when I sit on the bed and press down hard, I still feel it, just differently, like I'm trying to ground it or stop it from flowing. I live on the 10th floor of an apartment building, and it isn't even windy out; the weather is perfectly calm and warm. 🤷
I don't think it's just your opinion; honestly, you guys must have some insane luck or Quincy gave you nerves of steel, and I hope He keeps it that way.
Eventually, those nerves start to fray, so you better protect them for when you're older...
Some women just hit the jackpot by birth and are living the dream, while others are out there struggling just to keep their heads above water. But those of us still looking? We’re hunting for the lucky ones, even if they’re rare as hell...
Back in high school, the hottest girl I knew was still single. She’s twenty-nine now, looks like a total doll, and she's still flying solo just like me. Probably still holding out for someone who actually deserves her.
So my childhood friend hit me up last night asking when I’m finally getting hitched, since she’s married now and so is this other girl from our old group... Like, okay, maybe it is time for me to settle down, but having people lecture me about it feels so low-rent. I just haven't met the right guy yet, and that's really all there is to it...
So that girl went and married some total con artist... a master manipulator if I ever saw one. I’ve never seen eyes filled with that much deceit in my life. He’s so shady that just being near him makes me want to shake... She’s only 25 and he’s pushing 50. She’s always been shallow and airheaded, while he’s playing the high-stakes game—smart enough to pull off massive scams without leaving a paper trail. They’re loaded, but they stay under the radar because everything they do is strictly illegal. She looks at him like he’s some kind of god, completely oblivious to how dangerous this actually is. Sure, plenty of white-collar criminals in this capitalist mess get away with murder and live large, but she doesn't realize how bad this ends. Why would I ever marry someone like that blindly and bring kids into that mess? I’d rather stay single and actually sleep at night. But she isn't built like that; she’s just obsessed with the money. Greedy since she was a kid, always wanting more, never satisfied. And her dad is totally enabling the whole thing. We grabbed dinner, but she acts like she hasn't eaten in weeks—ordered enough food to feed a small army and packed on the pounds. I guess when you're married to that kind of cash, you don't bother worrying about being healthy or staying fit... just eat, drink, and spend. Pure greed through and through...
And yeah, what bluewalker33 said is true, though I definitely wasn't thinking about any of that when I picked my handle... It only crossed my mind much later because I heard some old wives' tale about it ages ago and totally forgot...
It’s a huge difference, though it really comes down to how many decibels you've actually lost... Some people have such mild hearing loss that those tiny, almost invisible hearing aids do the trick, but since my loss is pretty significant, even the bigger models barely help me. I’m bordering on deaf at this point, but I can still function socially, even if I have to ask people to repeat themselves every once in a while...
