I get the feeling you’re just here to mess around and waste everyone's time, even though your wife has probably begged you a dozen times to stop replying to people because you're just being annoying, and she’s made it pretty clear she doesn't care about your "advice." Maybe you should just take her advice and go kick rocks, huh?☕
By the way, if you're going to try and be funny, at least get your grammar right. You're doubling up on verbs like an amateur. Maybe pick up an American English textbook and spend your time doing that instead of wasting ours—since you've already proven yourself to be completely useless here anyway...
rustywolf65 said:The point here isn't about how to handle unpaid bills, or maybe it 🤔 Look, I get what she's saying. She's claiming the girls are traumatized because their dad walked away. Sure, he pays alimony, but in my book, the damage is already done. All I see here is pure jealousy toward his new wife and her kids. Not once did she mention the girls actually missing their father; it’s all about his cash and his real estate. As for the alimony, I'm not even touching that—the court made its call. Dragging everything through the legal system isn't going to fix the relationship between a father and his daughters. Even if they strip him of everything in court, the soul-crushing trauma won't just vanish. What disappears is the money in his wallet, which is clearly the real issue here based on her tone. She’s still living in the shared condo. Real trauma is going to hit when she loses half of it.
rustywolf65 said:Nah, I'm just reading what you write in your posts. Look, I'm not defending the father if that's how you saw it, but there’s always a massive reason why someone would ditch their own kids to embrace someone else's. Your daughters are adults now, but you guys made your choice and moved on. I doubt you had any say in how they see him. Alimony isn't love. And trust me, growing up without cash causes trauma; it's not about whether a dad loves you or not.☕ I feel for your girls. Dragging them into your drama was a mistake.
I've been with my parents since I was ten. Basically raised by my grandma while they were working over in Germany. No amount of gifts or money can make up for those years without parents around. They weren't there when I needed them. That's why material stuff means nothing to me—just look at my signature.
"Deep reasons"... please. That happens every single day—men walking away from their own flesh and blood while taking in someone else's kids. Just look around you. Alimony isn't love, sure, but a man who actually cares about his children doesn't struggle with providing for them; I know plenty of decent, responsible guys who never once complained about meeting their kids' needs. If anyone dragged the children into this conflict, it was the father through his own actions. By the way, it's hard to take you seriously when, after 4,000 posts on this forum, you still haven't bothered to master basic American grammar. You could have at least tried.

Not exactly a badge of honor to brag about, you know? ☕
Honestly, I’m just stuck wondering how to handle things next time—assuming it even happens again. Like, if she has another outburst, do I just stay quiet or actually say something?
How do you guys deal with people being straight-up rude? 😠
Just snap at her next time. You'll feel better... instead of bottling it up and making your own health worse. It's not like she matters in your life anyway, and they pay peanuts for gossip... don't overthink it.
Here’s a quick suggestion for anyone looking to hang out: I’m offering free advanced English tutoring and basic Italian lessons at my place. I'll even provide juice and cookies if you're interested. Location is in Miami—just shoot me a DM if you want to join. Like I said, everything is totally free. :-))))
The whole thread was basically defined by the disorder itself—it couldn't have gone any other way. Especially since there was only one person actually trying to maintain some semblance of order, ambercyclist50. That discussion really laid bare the entire struggle of dealing with this condition. Even with people having their occasional outbursts, they always ended up coming back, making peace, and trying to communicate as normally as possible given what they're going through. Since I assume ambercyclist50 is a professional, wouldn't it be a good idea for him to set some ground rules so we don't go completely off the rails? We could start a new thread based on that. Maybe a second thread could be for the non-specialized topics where ambercyclist50 could jump in if he wants to... for those who just don't have the mental energy to deal with the heavy stuff right now. Eventually, maybe we could even start supporting one another more effectively. ....I regularly participate in a thread about BPD on another forum and there aren't any issues at all; we help each other out and give advice. If we can manage that, why shouldn't we be able to do the same here regarding schizoaffective or OCD? I’m just saying, maybe the professionals in this group could help structure the topic a bit better, because our diagnosis is fundamentally different from those two. It's not for nothing they say psychiatrists tend to avoid this one, whereas I haven't heard them running away from the other two...🤷
Maybe you two just aren't vibing on the same frequency anymore. Like everyone else has probably already told you—just stop hanging out with her for a while. Go focus on work or something. Start taking forever to reply to her texts, or just don't reply at all. She’ll eventually get the hint. If she isn't exactly your best friend but more of an acquaintance, you could even try what Sean Watson48 suggested....
...personally, I'm not a fan of those big "we need to talk" confrontations. What are you actually supposed to say to someone when you're trying to end a friendship? "Your energy is off, I don't want to be friends anymore, I'm done texting you, bye!" Seriously? It’s like the old "it's not me, it's you" cliché. Honestly, if someone said that to me, I'd feel way more insulted than if they just subtly ignored my messages. I think just drifting away is the less painful way to go...
...look at it this way: she is also wasting her time hanging out with someone whose personality and energy just don't click, especially since you're sitting there overanalyzing her like this. She’ll move on too and find someone she actually gets along with...👍
I’ve suddenly broken out in these tiny red dots all over my palms and between my fingers. They’re small, but there are a lot of them, and they itch like crazy... especially when my hands get sweaty. I have a few spots on my feet too. I deal with allergies quite a bit, but I’ve never had anything show up on my skin before. I thought maybe it was a nickel allergy, but then why would it be on my feet? Should I just head straight to a dermatologist or what?😕
Paul Long6 said:Look, the instructions on the 1 kg bag clearly state you should only be drinking about 7 ounces of Revita three times a day. I know some people might start off knocking back up to five glasses of that size, but honestly, that's overkill. Besides, let's be real: the person trying to sell it to you just wants to drain your wallet. It’s pretty shady when someone prioritizes their profit margins over your actual health and well-being.
Look, I don't even drink Revita. I'm just repeating what I heard from people who actually use it... who knows?😕
I went to my doctor today and basically wrestled the referrals for all my lab work right out of her hands with a totally firm approach. 😁...she was basically acting like, "Fine, take them all just so I don't have to deal with you anymore." 😂
My blood work came back mostly fine, except my eosinophil granulocytes are through the roof. I have no clue what that even means... anyone know?
fadedheron892 said:Hey Catherine, just go get a spirometry test while you're at it, just to be safe because of that cough
I went through all the private testing last year and everything came back fine... I’m heading back to the doctor tomorrow to get bloodwork done. I think I'll ask her for a referral to a specialist instead. It helps knowing everyone else at home is coughing too, and Grandma managed to clear hers up with some homemade syrup... but I still need to find out what's going on tomorrow. Wish me luck.😉
silvercanyon7 said:I see many of you dealing with similar issues to what I’ve been facing. For a few years now, whenever I travel down south to places like San Diego or even further into the Southern US, things go downhill fast. I deal with sore throats, shortness of breath—literally feeling like I'm choking—extreme exhaustion, and sometimes even a fever. Two years ago, while I was vacationing by the coast, these symptoms hit me out of nowhere. Within hours, I ended up in the ER. I was on antibiotics for an entire week because of a massive throat and tonsil infection. My inhaler was my only lifeline back then, and I had to use effervescent tablets just to help clear the mucus. Between the intense inflammation and the phlegm getting stuck in my throat, I actually lost my breath a few times. It was pure horror. I wouldn't wish that nightmare on anyone.
The moment I get back here to Scandinavia, I feel completely healthy again. I went to the doctor, ran all the tests—nothing. They couldn't find a single thing wrong. Even back then, I told them I suspected I was allergic to something present in the US that simply doesn't exist here.
Since last year, I’ve been allergic to Birch pollen (which is everywhere here), and that allergy has triggered reactions to green apples, raw carrots, walnuts, and hazelnuts too. Last summer was absolute misery. Even though I used medication, I started taking it too late since I hadn't been allergic to those foods before. Thankfully, regarding the allergy I've been fighting since last year, breathing isn't the main issue. Instead, I get heavy cold-like symptoms and severe eye irritation, which is my biggest struggle 😢 .
Ultimately, I decided to try alternative medicine and visit a homeopath. I go for check-ups every two or three weeks, follow the protocols, and use plant-based remedies. I can already feel my body regaining its strength. On top of that, I am working hard to boost my immune system. My goal is to use alternative medicine to finally defeat this nasty allergy so I don't have to rely on antihistamines and other drugs for the rest of my life.
If anyone is interested in what my homeopath prescribed, I can write it down.
By the way... as I mentioned, my eyes have been my biggest problem since last year. Blurred vision and white discharge running from my eyes were part of my daily routine. Since starting with the homeopath, the blurred vision has vanished, and there is much less of that white discharge (it looks like white slime, incredibly irritating and disgusting). My goal this year is to avoid any doctor-prescribed pills entirely and focus solely on alternative medicine and strengthening my immunity. Based on my homeopath's assessment, I expect at least a 50% improvement compared to last summer.
silvercanyon7, please tell me what exactly your homeopath prescribed... I'm genuinely curious. Can you walk me through how their whole process actually works?
Lately, this allergic cough has been absolutely killing me at night (I can't sleep at all)... Thank God I'm not working right now, otherwise I'd be trying to catch up on sleep during the day while doing meditation techniques just to get my energy back. Honestly, I don't know how I'd manage... I'm heading in for blood work this Wednesday, but I doubt it'll show anything since I don't have a fever and feel fine during the day... It's just this cough at night that drives me insane. I'm getting sick of my own constant overanalyzing... But I guess it's easier to vent here in the middle of the night (while everyone else is presumably asleep)...😢
So, how does this desensitization process actually work? And what’s the damage like—how much does it cost? Basically, how does the whole thing go down...😕
fadedheron892 said:Honestly, general practitioners can be such a joke sometimes. It doesn’t even matter what you're specifically allergic to—if your nose starts running, it's because everything is blooming, so why act like identifying the exact plant species actually matters? I deal with allergic rhinitis myself, and after getting tested, I completely forgot what I was actually reacting to, though I definitely feel the symptoms hit me hard once they start. Of course, people with food allergies have to get tested for specific ingredients, obviously. Catherine, I heard acupuncture helps a ton, but I haven't given it a shot yet.
I haven't tried acupuncture either... honestly, I don't even know where to find a decent acupuncturist here in San Diego... I'll have to do some digging. I've seen people on this forum talking about it, though—everyone seems to rave about the places in New York City.👍
