Chemistry and sexual tension in Psychology ·
babunovich said:last night at the local bar, it was fascinating to observe how an identical twin in her ovulation phase triggers such intense interest from the guys, whereas her sister—not ovulating—barely registers any reaction at all. quite a stark contrast...

That is entirely plausible. 😛 😉
What's the cutoff score? in Miscellaneous ·
It’ll likely be a 56... I honestly don't see any high school admitting anyone with a 52. 🤷 🤷

placidmason58 said:Judging others seems to be a universal pastime, doesn't it? People love to cast stones and slap labels on everyone they see, rarely pausing to consider the underlying reasons behind someone else's actions. It’s far too easy to point a finger the moment someone slips up, and frankly, some people seem to derive a twisted sense of superiority from it—it feeds their ego.

Do you find yourself frequently judging those around you, and more importantly, how do you handle the weight of it when the spotlight turns on you and you're the one being judged?

People tend to pass judgment because, more often than not, they simply lack any sense of empathy for one another... 😳 😳

I wouldn't go so far as to judge... 😳 😳 Anyone who finds amusement in someone else's mistakes isn't a true friend... nor do they possess any real character... ☕ ☕

I went through the exact same thing just a few months back... Within two days, everything had returned to normal. 🤷 🤷 Just give it a day or two... I'm honestly not sure what else to tell you... 🤷 🤷

No, I don't. 😢 😢

Goodness, I can practically feel the tears welling up already. 🤣 😂

I am fully aware that this is just one more incredibly moronic thread designed solely for mockery, but in your case... you actually managed to hit the nail right on the head. <italiks>
Personally, I would be embarrassed not to realize that psychological abuse is far more insidious, widespread, and difficult to recognize than physical violence, which makes it even harder for a victim to distance themselves from an abuser. Furthermore, most people don't even consider anything beyond physical battery to be actual abuse, so there is virtually no support from those around them. Please, someone just implement a competency test for forum registration, for goodness' sake.

When I see certain individuals, I feel ashamed to even identify as a woman. 🙂

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa??? You are truly pathetic. How could you possibly assume I don't understand what that is??? And forget about "society," you aren't getting any younger, are you??? 🙄 🙄 Well, if that's the case, then surely you should know that generally speaking, if you won't help yourself, no one else is going to do it for you. That applies to psychological abuse and everything else in life. Good grief, the level of naivety present here is staggering. ☕ ☕

Man, I really feel for you guys.
☕ Look, if she’s mentally breaking you down, just walk away. It’s as simple as that. ☕
But it's a whole different story when a man is hitting a woman. She clings to this idea that he’ll change... that *she* can be the one to fix him....
🤣 The guy who’s laying hands on her was almost certainly abusing her psychologically first. And he probably still is. 😂

I had a woman tell me once how she was constantly checking in on a friend, bringing over meals, trying to help... But what does any of that matter if the woman herself refuses to leave such an abusive husband??? She just keeps saying: "He's actually a good man...," "He hasn't hit me in a month...." "Not me or the kids..." 😲 😲 Give me a break. He's not a damn good man. ☕ ☕

You aren't particularly interesting to anyone yet, considering nobody has even bothered to reply to you. 🙂 🙂

And what is that percentage, really??? I suspect it's significantly lower than the alternative. Of course, it exists—I'm not suggesting otherwise—but it doesn't seem quite that probable... 😵 😵

Karen Garcia6 said:Have you ever dealt with someone close to you—someone you thought you knew inside and out—where you just hit this wall? Like, no matter how much history there is, you eventually realize they don't actually give a damn about your opinion...

I mean, I’m pretty sure everyone here has been there at some point. So, how do you handle it? Do you actually sit them down and try to talk it out, or do you just let it slide and ignore it? Or does it hurt enough that you just stop caring about clearing the air altogether?

Anyway, I know I'm throwing a lot of questions at you all at once, but just answer however you feel is best. Just stick to the topic... 🙂

It would hurt my feelings, so I would likely sit down and talk it through with them. 😳
Friendships vs. Acting Roles in Psychology ·
Well, at least you handled him with some class. 👍 👍

See, that’s just how most people operate (at least within my social circle, though I wouldn't go so far as to call them friends) and that is precisely why most people end up without any genuine connections. I have one true friend, whereas most people don't have a single soul they can actually count on. 😳

My question is, does the presence of posts in an unknown language pose a genuine problem for the operation of the forum?

And whose fault is it that you don't understand those languages??? 🤣 😍 ( Just kidding, obviously. 😳 )

They aren't actually going to step in and fix anything—it's not like they're particularly focused on doing their jobs—but still... 😳

Beyoncé won't work because of the underscore, but Beyoncé with a space works fine. If that works for you, just reach out to New Orleans.
