Walter Jackson48 said:So, what does that "10" actually represent in your formula?
If you’re trying to multiply 10 by B4, just try using
10*B4 (instead of 10;B4

The number 10 represents the percentage increase required.
The formula I mentioned... it spits out a result, but it's wrong.
When I type the formula in manually, it works fine.

Yeah, both formulas work once they're fixed the way you suggested.
Swap the semicolon for * and +.

Thanks.

I’m currently trying to build a custom user input form in Visual Basic for Excel.
The idea is to have it handle entering quantities (column 2) into specific fields based on whatever product code (column 1) I provide.
For example,
I’d enter the Product Code (hit enter)
Then the Quantity (hit enter), and just keep looping through them like that.

Is this actually something that can be done?

Thanks a million.

This might sound totally ridiculous, but I’m stuck...
So, my assignment is to put together a Google Slides presentation—complete with video and music embedded—but here's the thing. Since I have to email it, I'm worried that if I just send the file, the video and audio won't actually play on someone else's computer. Is there some kind of trick to make this work, or am I stuck sending the media as separate attachments too? 🤷

Like this:

Quantity (enter) and just keep looping through them.

Is that even doable?

Thanks a ton.

When I record a macro, I select Copy... then Paste Special -> Values.
The recorded macro doesn't actually paste "values" when I run it.
How do I get this to work?
I want to copy entire columns—say, "K:N"—as values from List1 over to List2 (specifically into column "A:D") using a macro.

Any suggestions, examples, or links?

I found this

Sub KopirajRangeUprviPrazanRed()

Worksheets("List1").Range("A1:D65536").Copy 'selects and copies the specified data range on List1
Worksheets("List2").Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Offset(0, 0).PasteSpecial pasta : = xlPasteValues 'finds the first empty row in column A on List2 and pastes the range data
Sheets("List1").Select 'returns focus to List1
Application.CutCopyMode = False 'clears the clipboard selection
Range("B2").Select 'places cursor on cell B2 on List1
List1 end Sub

How do I set up my header in Office 2007 so it only shows up on the first page?
I see the settings to make headers different for odd and even pages, but where is the option to have it on the first page alone and then nowhere else?

Maybe give it a shot like this:
Split the document into two separate sections. Set the first page as Section 1,
then make everything else Section 2. Go ahead and set up a header on that first page, then flip over to the second one and delete the
header there—that way, it should stay put on the first page and nowhere else.

Use a macro

to copy entire columns—say "K:N"—as values only from Sheet1 over to Sheet2 (into column "A😁")...

Code:
Sub CopyColumns()
'
Columns("K:N").Select
Selection.Copy
Sheets("Sheet2").Select
Range("A1").Select
Selection.PasteSpecial paste : = xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks _
:=False, Transpose:=False
Range("A1").Select
end Sub

Yeah, I tried using that exact same code, but the command just wouldn't copy the values...
Not sure what happened there. Maybe it had something to do with how many formulas were being converted at once, or maybe I just missed something in my own logic...
Anyway, I decided to scrap my original plan of copying entire columns altogether.

For anyone else here planning on grabbing this macro... just a heads-up that the version quoted above is CopyRangeToFirstEmptyRow... but with a slight tweak. You'll need to change the Offset (0,0)... to (1,0)...

That aside, the macro worked wonders for me! Thanks again.

And yes, it definitely handles the value pasting...

Does anyone know of a good online course that covers all the essentials? I’m looking for something that hits the basics, conditional formatting, formulas, and working with charts—basically, the more detail, the better! Ideally, I'd love something I can wrap my head around in about 6 to 10 hours. Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I’ve got a good feeling about this one. By any chance, is there a version available for the newer Excel (Windows XP >)?

Does anyone happen to have anything compatible with the newer versions of Excel (anything after Windows XP)?

Oh, absolutely. >You've got plenty of options to choose from.

If I currently have Office 2007 installed on my machine, is it possible to install Office 2010 alongside it? Basically, can I run both versions at the same time without any issues?
thanks

I’m running into a bit of a snag with the software mentioned above—for some reason, I can't seem to save my document in the older 2007 format. I recently upgraded from Office 2007 to Office 2010, and now it's acting up.

How can I insert an airplane icon and a computer icon into my text? I managed to find the others, but these two are proving impossible—maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places... Thanks! 😂
