If you can't find an expiration date, it has to be listed somewhere, but they probably didn't bother including anything.

The bag ripped, leaving a massive hole, so I transferred everything into a plastic bin.

I'm trying to figure out if anyone knows the shelf life here. I've searched online, but nothing comes up. I'm worried it might have gone bad since it's been sitting there since June of last year.

Hey everyone, I’m a newcomer to this forum, though I’ve been hitting the gym pretty consistently for about five years now. I finally decided to pull the trigger on some protein powder, mostly because being a college student makes it nearly impossible to keep up with my nutrition requirements. What’s the consensus on this Twinlab protein? It’s a 32oz tub, and I shelled out $87 for it—plus, they threw in a free shaker!

Way too expensive.

I have a quick question for the group—I was reading somewhere that if you're looking for optimal muscle growth, it might be smarter to split your shake in half, drinking one portion before training and the other after. I’m honestly not sure if that’s actually sound advice or if I should just stick to my current routine of having it strictly post-workout. What do you all think?

Quick question for you guys:
Can someone please translate those 30-40 grams of protein into actual spoon measurements for me? 😁
Like, how many tablespoons (or teaspoons, if we're talking small) is that roughly?
Also—and this is a big one—does anyone have any tips on how to make drinking this stuff with water actually tolerable? Right now, I’m sticking to milk because honestly, if I try to chug it with water again, I’m probably going to gag. I’d much rather just use water to keep things simple, but it’s just not happening for me right now. 😢

I honestly think those two are absolute villains. When it comes to protein, you’re usually stuck choosing between stuff that tastes like chalky water and things that are actually tolerable. Speaking from my own experience—brands like Weider, Optimum Nutrition whey, or Dymatize—they actually hold up pretty well when you mix them with water.

Thanks.
I’m sipping on some Optimum Nutrition whey mixed with a banana. I actually just knocked back a glass with water—barely managed to get it down, too, and honestly, I had to chug it right over the sink because I was struggling to keep it from coming right back up. It actually tastes pretty decent if you mix it with milk instead.

I don't know, personally I stick to the vanilla flavor and it's alright enough... You might just need a little time to get used to the taste—maybe next time try switching to chocolate or even a different vanilla blend, it might hit better for you. One thing though, and this is pretty important if you want to avoid feeling sluggish—make sure you're mixing it with water instead of milk 😉

Man, you really have to be different, don't you? Everyone else is grabbing the chocolate, but here you are—going all in on vanilla.

Garbage. Vanilla absolutely crushes chocolate.

Man, you hit the nail right on the head there! You really nailed it.
I guess if I had to guess, the chocolate flavor from Optimum Nutrition whey is definitely their biggest hit! It seems like everyone just goes for that one.
I guess I’m just a strawberry person through and through! Honestly, that's the only flavor I touch.

So, about that 30 to 40 grams of protein... I was just thinking, could someone maybe help me out and translate that into actual spoonfuls? Like, how many scoops or tablespoons am I actually looking at here? I guess I'm just trying to get a better visual sense of it, you know? Maybe if I had a rough idea of the scoop size, it would make way more sense! 😁
So, I was just wondering... how many spoons—or maybe teaspoons, I guess?—is that actually supposed to be? I'm always getting those measurements a little mixed up!

Two big, heaped-up tablespoons! That's what I'm talking about!

Does anyone have any tips on how to actually stomach mixing this stuff with water? I’ve been sticking to milk because honestly, if I try to take it with water again, I think I might actually gag. I really want to switch over to water just to keep things simple, but man, I just can't get past the taste. Any advice? 😢

Maybe you should give one of the other flavors a shot! I think they have like five or six different ones to choose from, if I remember right.
So, I was just wondering... are you strictly sticking to just plain whey, or are you mixing things up? I mean, maybe you're adding something else to the shake? I guess I'm just curious!

Can anyone weigh in on whether it’s more effective to split my protein intake—say, half a shake before training and half after—or if I should just stick to taking it exclusively post-workout? I was reading an article in Men's Health suggesting that consuming some beforehand might actually yield better results when the goal is strictly muscle mass gains.
?thanks

Are you obsessed with protein or something?

Just split it up or chug it all at once. It’s not like it makes a massive difference. 🙄

Look, I'm not exactly a rabbit—I actually have a shoot coming up at my agency in about six weeks. I’m trying to balance out my body proportions as much as possible in this short window while packing on a few pounds of muscle, but everything feels like it's moving at a snail's pace. I was wondering if there might be some kind of shortcut or trick to speed things up? 😢

Weider protein 88
is hands down the best tasting one I've ever had! 😉
though Dymatize isn't half bad either

btw does anyone know who the distributor for Weider products is? I can't find them anywhere anymore—the only place I see them is at my local gym, and those guys charge way more than a grocery store! =(

Hold on—you actually think you can put on "a few" pounds of pure muscle in just a month and a half?😕
