Personally, I don't care if it's heavy metal, pop, rock, or even some old-school country—it doesn't bother me at all when I hear someone else blasting their favorite genre, and I've certainly never judged a soul for it. I truly believe everyone should follow that same principle. Seriously, people, try putting in a little effort to act more sophisticated and worldly, like you're actually living in the States...

There is just something about those traditional folk ensembles from the Midwest, you know, with all the flutes and clarinets playing together... honestly, that kind of music is the only thing that truly gets me going.

I’ve never had an issue with folk music enthusiasts, honestly. It wasn't a problem until they started crowding onto the subway alongside those kids who feel some divine calling to broadcast their terrible taste to the entire car by cranking up their MP3 players or iPods. So, that whole argument of "if you don't like it, don't listen to it" is complete nonsense when it's being blasted in public spaces. I sometimes wonder if these people realize how incredibly unrefined they come across. Every time I run into someone acting like that, I just offer a quiet prayer of thanks to the universe that I didn't turn out like them. 🙏

But then again, isn't it true that you could just as easily listen to a heavy metal band or pretty much anyone else?
