I've been dealing with this since my heart attack back on September 11, 2002, and it flared up even worse after my heart surgery on September 11, 2003—had four bypasses done. It shows up on my finger joints and a bit on my elbows. I totally agree that skin damage triggers it. I use small amounts of White Salic and some other ointment-based stuff, but honestly? They don't really do much. For me, nothing beats the ocean and sunshine. I tried Zorak 1.00 once, and it was a total disaster; I had to stop immediately because of the reaction. From what I've gathered and experienced firsthand, the big trigger for psoriasis is a massive psycho-physical shock (stress). To actually fix it, you have to balance out your whole system, mind and body. Everything else is just driving on a spare tire until you get a new one.
Let’s pull over for a second and look at this. Is there anything besides psychological stress that kicks psoriasis off? Think about it: even when an entire family has the genetic predisposition, not everyone gets it. Have you guys ever wondered why only one specific person ends up with it?
Could it be the individual's living conditions? Or maybe we need to dig deeper—all the way back to conception (planned or unplanned pregnancy), then birth, breastfeeding, weaning, starting school, puberty, military service, or for women, marriage and childbirth, etc.
Could any of those life milestones be the spark that sets off psoriasis in a person?
