Just like the whole music PDF, really.

Given how things are looking right now, it’s hardly any surprise.

And here we go again with the usual whining... because honestly, what would we even have without it?

November 22, 1963. Two massive events collided that day and basically rewrote the entire pop culture playbook for our era—first, the assassination of JFK, and second, the release of this album.

We've waited long enough, so let's dive into a little ho-ho-ho poll to wrap up this year!

If Phil Spector & Co. Inc. doesn't land a convincing win among these options, it would be a total travesty. Honestly, it'd feel just like when Band Aid failed to hit number one back in '84 on Della's old annual charts...

Wait, what's this "Delaware's old annual countdown" thing? Is that some random forum user? 🤔 I'm pretty sure there's just some guy named Dela on here.

Anyway, these four albums couldn't be more different if they tried. We've got punk rock Christmas, then a parody that's basically heavy blasphemy (I only sat through two tracks), followed by a sacred Christmas vibe that feels like being sucked into some massive imaginary cathedral, and finally, a bright, sweet, youthful, and totally catchy secular Christmas from 1963. 😍

Personally, I celebrate Jesus' birthday, not Christmas. I mean, Christmas is technically his birthday, but it feels like it barely has anything to do with Jesus anymore. I usually skip the whole "Merry Christmas" thing—it just feels a bit tacky to me. 🕺

So the topic’s back, huh? 😁

Honestly, I’m just not feeling the whole Christmas vibe lately—it’s all getting a bit much, so I think I'm just gonna skip the holiday tracks this year.

I’m just not feeling all those typical Christmas tracks lately, so I’ve mostly been skipping them.

The album I suggested doesn't even have one famous holiday song on it, and as far as I know, it doesn't even mention Christmas at all (I guess). 🙂

Pharrell Williams, come on, whip up a killer album for us real quick before the holiday festivities are all over! 🙂

Hey everyone! How’s it going? What’s up? 🙂

So, I was thinking we should get some music going again. Since yesterday was officially the first day of summer and all that...
We did a Christmas album recently, so maybe we could pick a summer-themed one this time...
(Before everyone disappears to the beach...)

The only rule for this week's theme is that it has to be a summer album. That's it.

Drop your suggestions on Thursday and Friday, then we'll vote over the weekend. A summer listening session?

The album I'm throwing out there actually ended up on this list by accident, but it’s pretty solid, so whatever:

Alright, let's get into it... This is one of those tiny little albums meant for just lounging in a hammock in some woods by the coast.
Sitting in the shade, surrounded by the scent of lavender, pine, resin, and salt spray... I mean, it doesn't get more summer than that.

It’s got an 80s vibe, sure, but honestly? It feels timeless—like it could have been recorded yesterday or decades from now.
Think a French-Belgian trio mixing lounge, bossa nova, and electro-samba with these really laid-back pop colors.

Not sure if this hits the spot for everyone, but out of all those albums I count as true summer vibes this one is basically the blueprint:

Killer album, Jessica Morris6. They absolutely crush it live—and honestly, Meat Hook Sodomy is the longest track and my personal favorite. I could tell just from the title that they weren't going to shy away from the heavy stuff.

Around noon, I got totally lost in this weird hybrid of deep jazz and ambient stuff—definitely sounds like Barry, as usual.

Same here, I actually think Dennis Hall41’s album is pretty decent; I can always get down with that hippie California psychedelic vibe. Haven't checked out Amanda Robinson4's yet...
Going to jam tonight, but first I'm grabbing some ice cream. I'm just not sure if I'll still have an appetite for Jessica Morris6's suggestion later on. 😁

Whatever, it is what it is. Still waiting! 🙂

I mean, at the end of the day, they’re straight-up icons of the death metal scene. It’s such a damn shame they never dropped a live record while Barnes was fronting the band. Personally, I think Corpsegrinder is the superior vocalist, though I have to admit Barnes had a massive presence too...
