Comparing this to Alonso’s season? Please. Perez had already left him in the dust by then and was forced to give the spot back...

If you think you've made your point, we can adjust the bet to the end of the season.
graniteharbor502 said:I can agree with you—Räikkönen is one of the best drivers out there today, and he drove a flawless race. But let’s be real—first, Rosberg just cleared out of his way (something Hamilton would never have done for Rosberg, remember Canada 2014?), then Red Bull completely botched Ricciardo's pit stop. To top it off, Hamilton cut the chicane during a battle on track just to maintain the lead. We saw something similar back in 2013 with Alonso and Perez, where Alonso was penalized and forced to yield his position to Perez.

analogpilot16 said:Look, when you have drivers fighting for position, if someone doesn't give an inch, there’s gonna be contact. That kind of aggressive stuff is just part of racing—it's not some playground spat... these are the best drivers in the world driving the absolute peak of engineering at the Monaco Grand Prix, and Ham showed exactly what he's capable of!!

had the fastest pit stop today?
6 out of 6.

graniteharbor502 said:I think I can actually agree with you—Rasmus really is one of the elite drivers we’re seeing right now, and he drove a virtually flawless race. But—and there is a massive "but" here—first, Rosberg just happened to clear out of his way (something Hamilton would have never done to Rosberg, if we look back at that mess in Canada in 2014), then Red Bull absolutely screwed Ricciardo over during his pit stop, and finally, Hamilton ended up cutting the track during that battle just to keep his lead. It felt... questionable. It reminds me of what went down in 2013 with Alonso and Perez—where Alonso got penalized and basically had to hand the spot over to Perez.
neonfox65 said:Maybe. He might have come out first.

So, we're looking at the end of the season, or just until the title is settled.
Alright, lay your offer on the table. Once we agree, we can settle the bet when the time comes.
neonfox65 said:Guys, seriously, take the private bets to DMs like me and Sin instead of cluttering the Monaco thread.
mellowtiger83 said:Everything checks out. So maybe Rosberg didn't just lose those 11-13 seconds behind Ricciardo; maybe Hamilton wasn't actually stuck either. You're forgetting how much time Hamilton lost. Even a perfect pit stop wouldn't have saved Ricciardo at that point. It is what it is, but the pit stop screwed Ricciardo, Nico screwed Hamilton, and qualifying screwed both of them because the car was garbage the day before when he only had one shot at a flyer.

Was it during that scrap behind Massa?
