Nicosia FC vs. Ljubljana FC 2 @ 4.9
or maybe X2 @ 1.9

I honestly think Ljubljana is being slept on here. I mean, this is the absolute powerhouse version of Ljubljana we're looking at right now. Nicosia only managed to scrape one win out of their last seven preseason outings. http://www.flashscore.com/match/EDyYHj7H/#h2h;overall,

Molde vs. Legia Warsaw Under 2.5 @ 1.6
or just go Half Time X2

I’m expecting a total grind. Molde looked pretty sharp against the Rovers, putting three past them in two games, while Legia absolutely tore through the Welsh champions, TNS, dropping four goals over two matches.

Celtic vs. Elfsborg 2 @ 7.0
or X2 @ 2.55

The Scottish league hasn't even really kicked off for Celtic yet, and when it does, they tend to leak goals against bottom-tier sides like St. Mirren or Kilmarnock. My gut feeling? Celtic plays much better when they're forced to sit back and defend against big clubs, but that’s not going to be the case today. Elfsborg is in the middle of their season and clearly in much better match fitness than Celtic is right now. Plus, let's be real—I don't exactly view the Scottish league as being superior to the Swedish one.

Casey James56 said:Celtic vs. Elfsborg—I’m leaning towards a 2 or maybe an X2 at 2.55. I mean, Celtic hasn't even kicked off their domestic season yet, and honestly, they've been giving up goals to these small-time teams like St. Mirren or Kilmarnock, just random bottom-tier sides. My gut feeling is that Celtic usually performs better when they're playing against big clubs where they have to sit back and defend, but that won't really be the case today. Elfsborg is right in the middle of their season, so they're probably in much better match fitness than Celtic is right now. Plus, I don't personally think the Scottish league is any stronger than the Swedish one.

Even if you set the league situation aside, Celtic knows exactly what's at stake with these qualifiers, so I doubt they'll be messing around or testing out new systems...
They're at home, so a win is pretty much the only thing on the table for them, whereas Elfsborg only has about two matches scheduled this whole month...

Xanthi-Standard Liege x2 1,28 2 2,05

Looking at these qualifying matches, you can really see the physical edge some of these squads have—especially those who've already knocked a few official games under their belt this season... it makes a massive difference.
Xanthi actually managed to lose to a total underdog like Linfield in their second qualifying round back in Greece—it wasn't until the return leg that they finally scraped through after extra time (total score 2:2).
The thing is, Xanthi has only played three matches all summer—that weird two-leg thing against Linfield and a friendly against Omonia where they got rolled 3:1.
Their domestic league doesn't even kick off for another 17 days. They aren't even in rhythm yet.
Now, Standard? They’ve already been out there playing several official matches and they’ve won them all. They brought in some fresh talent, they've had a great start to the season, and honestly, they're the clear favorites to make that Europa League playoff run.
They're just better—more experienced, more match-fit, and I don't see how they walk away empty-handed if they actually show up and play with some grit in Greece.

Slask Wroclaw-Club Brugge x2 1,32

Slask is just a decent mid-tier side from the Polish league—they lack experience and they're definitely outclassed by Brugge.
Last season they went up against Budućnost; they lost the home leg in Poland but managed to scrape a win in Mexico to move on, only to get absolutely dismantled by Hannover later in the tournament—lost both legs by huge margins.
They looked a bit more serious at home this season, crushing Rudar 4:0, though the return leg was basically a formality before they went to Mexico and settled for a 2:2 draw.
But their league form has been shaky—a scoreless draw away, then a home loss to an average side like Jagiellonia Bialystok 2:3, even though they actually played a hell of a first half.

Brugge is on a completely different level—way more seasoned, way more talented, and they cruised through the first round with a 2:0 win over Charleroi.
Yeah, they did sell off two key guys—Baccu went to Sevilla and Donk headed to Turkey.
But even without them, look at that lineup... they still have hitters like Lestienne, Tchite, De Sutter, Gudjohnsen, Bakenga, Víctor Vazquez, Odjidja-Ofoe... it's ridiculous.
Brugge is the heavy favorite here and they are much closer to securing that playoff spot than Slask is.
They’ve played 9 friendlies plus their league opener, and they haven't dropped a single one.
There is no way they lose in Poland.

A true populist:

Seattle Sounders - Zilina 1 1,80@DraftKings
The Sounders have bolstered their roster significantly this year, and I’m confident they have the muscle to push past these Slovaks. Zilina is a classic home-field team that tends to struggle when they travel; you saw exactly what happened against Columbus when they dropped a 3-1 away match only to claw it back at home. A packed stadium and pure euphoria are going to be massive advantages here.

>Atlanta United - Dila Gori 1 1,75@DraftKings
It’s the same story as the Zilina pick. Dila Gori feels like a squad that relies heavily on their own turf, whereas Atlanta is going to come out swinging in front of a raucous crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They’re in great form, and I believe they can handle the Georgians easily.

Aktobe - Breidablik 1 1,65@DraftKings SuperBet
I'm backing the home side here for the exact same reason: the home-field advantage. To be perfectly honest, I don't know much about these two specific clubs, so I'm leaning on the atmosphere.

Phoenix Rising - Udinese 2 1,40@DraftKings SuperBet
We're looking at a neutral site here, plus the local management is currently at war with their own fans. Udinese is a far superior side and they'll be fielding their full lineup. There really isn't much debate to be had on this one.

Kukesi - Metalurg Donetsk 2 1,42@DraftKings
The Albanians managed to scrape by against teams from St. Louis and Estonia, but I suspect the Ukrainians are going to be a hurdle far too high for them to clear.

Ventspils - Maccabi Haifa 2 1,47@DraftKings
The Israelis were genuinely impressive during the last qualifying round, whereas the Latvians only made it this far because they caught a break with an easy draw. My gut tells me the Israelis will wrap this up in the first leg.

Zala - Udinese h2 (2.11)

Taking the handicap on an Udinese side that traveled over with their starters. The match isn't even being played at Zala's home turf because their stadium doesn't meet UEFA standards, so they're moving it to Zenica. To make matters worse, the local fans already said they aren't traveling because management screwed them over with the bus arrangements. Di Natale mentioned in the press conference that they've scouted Zala and are going all out. I don't see anyone sitting this one out since it's still early in the season. Even if Udinese isn't at 100%, they should walk away with a win against a club that honestly wouldn't even crack the bottom tier of MLS. If you aren't feeling the handicap, just take the straight win at 1.40.

Daniel Cooper40 said:The matchup between the local favorites and Udinese—it’s looking like an absolute toss-up for the second half. Honestly, I’m leaning toward a draw here. Everything about the momentum suggests things are going to tighten up once we get past the break.2.10)

It’s a total handicap situation with this Udinese squad traveling over to the States with their full starting lineup. They aren't even playing at the local club's stadium because the facility doesn't meet UEFA standards—so instead, they're moving the match to a different city entirely. To make matters worse, the home fans have already announced they won't be making the trip to follow the team because management completely screwed them over regarding transportation. Di Natale mentioned in the press conference that they’ve scouted the opposition and are planning to give it everything they've got. I don't buy for a second that anyone is going to be "resting" players here—it's only the start of the season, after all. Even if Udinese isn't at 100% capacity, they should easily handle this side; let's be real, a club of this caliber would be fighting for survival at the bottom of MLS. If you're looking for a safe bet, just take the straight win on the away side. The odds are sitting at 1.40, which is actually worth looking at.

I’m going to pair F2 with... Di Natale to score anytime at +100—I’m calling it right now. 😉

Udinese is running a single-striker formation—and look, if they manage to put two or more goals past the defense, there’s a massive chance one of them is going to be Di Natale’s. I play soccer betting lines constantly—it's practically a hobby at this point—and whenever they stick to that lone striker setup, he’s the one finding the back of the net. It’s become a predictable pattern.

Nah, I’m sticking to my guns—I'm going to wait until the official lineups are actually out before I make my move.

I’m right there with you—I play the River and the Hajduk too, though I’ve got a serious soft spot for Single. Split is looking at a massive +6.50 handicap for the underdog—and honestly? It’s a total joke. You can't tell me there's no value there. Look, check the stats from that match in Denmark—it was a total blowout, 32 shots to 6. If they face an atmosphere like what’s waiting for them at our place, things could go south fast. Honestly? I don't think they're anything special, and let's be real—they aren't even as good at playing defensive "bunker" ball as a team like NQ. 🤷

Live - LAFC vs. Atlanta United 1X@1,60
LAFC looks like the better side here. They’re controlling the tempo and pressing hard. They actually had two massive chances right at the end—one where the Atlanta defender somehow cleared it off the line, and another that rattled against the crossbar. Honestly, the Atlanta squad isn't easy to dismiss; their defense is holding up well and they look dangerous on the counterattack. That said, I think LAFC will at least find an equalizer. With this home crowd behind them, there's a real chance they pull ahead entirely. Because of that, I'm going to take a shot at 1@3,20 . The odds have already dropped quite a bit—they were sitting at 3.80 just ten minutes ago—so it's a decent value play for a smaller stake.

Seattle Sounders vs. FC Cincinnati

Cincinnati is showing up way shorthanded against Seattle—they’re missing basically all their veteran leadership and core starters:
Mark-Jan Fledderus, Davy De Beule, Martijn Monteyne, Frank Demouge and Guy Ramos.

"Frank Demouge, Guy Ramos, Davy De Beule, Martijn Monteyne, and Mark-Jan Fledderus (injured) will miss the match. That first group of four is dealing with some physical issues."

Seattle's the clear favorite here, though I wouldn't go expecting a total blowout🙄 (the season just kicked off, and that game against AZ was absolute chaos at the stadium) but it's definitely realistic they cover the spread with a 2-0 or 3-0 win, maybe even 3-1... though honestly, it looks like they might struggle with finishing and scoring goals this season too.
Cincinnati didn't spend a dime on transfers either—mostly just picked up free agents like Luijckxa, Guy Ramos, van Peppen, Bonevac, Kalija, and Hocher.

Eusebio Cup

Benfica vs. Sao Paulo: Away +3 @ 1.80

Honestly, Sao Paulo is gonna be totally gassed tomorrow—they played the world champs on Wednesday, then had to face the European champs and AC Milan right after! Add some serious jet lag to that mix? Yeah, no thanks. Benfica is basically a lock at 90% here; they’re fresher, they’re stronger, and they’ve got the home-field advantage. Plus, Sao Paulo hasn't found the back of the net in five games... isn't it about time someone actually scored?

Saturday 16:00
AIK Stockholm vs. IF Elfsborg: Home Win @ 2.00

AIK looks way more rested. Elfsborg, on the other hand, has been grinding through two brutal matches while resting, and now they’ve got a massive game against Celtic this Wednesday that they're desperate to win just to stay alive in Europe. They’re already feeling the burnout from the continental schedule, and they haven't even won a single match in their last three league outings because of that nightmare stretch—especially after Celtic absolutely ran them ragged. AIK is looking seriously sharp, though—they've grabbed 23 out of a possible 27 points over their last nine games! They caught a tired Hacken in the last round, and I think they can pull it off again.

The Emirates Cup
The lineup features Arsenal, Napoli, Porto, and Galatasaray.
The visiting squads have brought along the following personnel...

Porto—Abdoulaye, Alex Sandro, Carlos Eduardo, Castro, Danilo, Defour, Fabiano, Fernando, Fucile, Ghilas, Helton, Herrera, Iturbe, Jackson, Josué, Kelvin, Licá, Lucho, Maicon, Mangala, Otamendi, Quintero, Reyes, Ricardo, Tiago Rodrigues, and Varela.

Galatasaray—Fernando Muslera, Eray İşcan – Albert Riera, Dany Nounkeu, Aurelien Chedjou, Hakan Balta, Semih Kaya, Emmanuel Eboue, Sabri Sarıoğlu – Felipe Melo, Hamit Altıntop, Ceyhun Gülselam, Selçuk İnan, Wesley Sneijder, Erman Kılıç, Yekta Kurtuluş, Engin Baytar, Emre Çolak, Nordin Amrabat, Kazım Kazım – Johan Elmander, Didier Drogba, Umut Bulut.

Napoli—Rafael, Reina, Colombo, Albiol, Britos, Cannavaro, Fernandez, Gamberini, Armero, Behrami, Dossena, Dzemaili, Hamsik, Inler, Maggio, Mesto, Radosevic, Zuniga, Callejon, Mertens, Higuain, Insigne, Calaiò, Novothny, Pandev.

It is quite evident that these clubs have arrived with their strongest possible rosters intact.
Arsenal, however, is dealing with a few absences... Vermalen, Monreale, Diaby, and Frimpong.

Until about two years ago, this tournament operated under an rather intriguing set of regulations. Beyond the standard three points for a win and one for a draw, a single point was awarded for every goal scored; furthermore, should teams remain tied on points, the tiebreaker rested on which side recorded more shots on target. Back in 2011, they amended the rules... stripping away the bonus point for goals while retaining the shot-on-target metric. It’s a missed opportunity, really. Still, such nuances can fundamentally alter the tactical quality of the matches.

We are looking at four highly offensive sides, and because the "over" looks so glaringly obvious, I find myself hesitant to bet against it. However, I refuse to abandon logic. 🙂

Slip 1:
Arsenal vs Napoli: Over 2.5 goals
Galatasaray vs Porto: Over 2.5 goals

Slip 2:
Arsenal vs Napoli: Both teams to score 3+ goals
Galatasaray vs Porto: Both teams to score 3+ goals

The US Open Cup
Inter Miami - LAFC @1.55

Inter Miami hasn't been particularly aggressive in the transfer market this summer, but they did manage to bring in Thiago Silva from Napoli. One can only hope he integrates smoothly; we've seen far too many veterans see their careers wither away after moving to these massive, star-studded clubs where the ego often outweighs the effort. They also picked up some additional depth from Roma and Lille.
As for LAFC, they were trailing closely behind Miami in the standings last season. However, they're heading into this matchup facing a significant number of absences...
Bréchet (DF, who was a mainstay at Troyes last year), Planus (DF), Henrique (DF), Rolan (FW), Diabaté (FW), Faubert (MF), A. Traoré (FW), Bellion (FW), Gouffran (MF).
Several of these players are core starters, and their absence will undoubtedly be felt on the pitch. When you factor that in alongside the sheer talent gap, Miami holds a much superior roster.
I was anticipating a slightly better return on this—perhaps closer to 1.80—but the oddsmakers are being uncharacteristically stingy here.🙂

Wilstermann vs. Real Potosi | 1.40 Odds | Germany

Real Potosi is sending just seven players😲to face off against Wilstermann
Since their request to reschedule their opening match was shot down, the front office over at Real Potosi made a pretty wild call last night: they’re sending a skeleton crew of just seven players to Cochabamba to fulfill their Saturday (6:00 PM) fixture at the Felix Capriles Stadium against Wilstermann.
“We asked for a postponement before this game because we’ve got that big rematch coming up against Universidad de Chile in Santiago, and honestly, we’re stumped as to why they said no—other teams in the league get to push their schedules back all the time,” explained Real Potosi Vice President Marco Ortega after breaking the news to the coaching staff.
“Look, we realize this isn't ideal and there will be fallout, but we’re backed into a corner here since nobody responded to our plea, and right now, staying focused on the Sudamericana is the top priority. We’ve already got the flights and hotel rooms booked,” Ortega added.

Atlanta United vs. Dinamo Tbilisi - Win 1 @ 2.70

Man, we saw all the switches coming—it’s like Atlanta just didn't want the ball today! They basically coasted through a 1/1 stretch and then just cruised to the finish line thanks to a bit of luck, kind of like that game against Aalborg

Honestly, Atlanta proved they’re the better side here. It's probably about time the luck turns against those guys from Georgia, right? Realistically, you'd expect Atlanta to take the lead, and they're already sitting pretty with a massive advantage

The pitch is gonna be about 15 degrees cooler too, which really helps a squad that actually wants to play football instead of just dragging their feet and playing defensive. Looking at that grass, it looks way higher quality than what we see back home at Mercedes-Benz Stadium 😂
That kind of surface totally suits a team looking to grab a result and keep the tempo high

Plus, these young players bounce back fast—and hey, seeing that 3:0 win against the local rivals earlier tonight definitely gave them some serious momentum

Kuban-Spartak Moscow 3+ 2,10

Look, Kuban has been super steady over these last couple of seasons—really cohesive group, too. They’ve got plenty of these gritty, reliable guys who might lack some flashy skills, but they make up for it by playing their hearts out on the court... just pure hustle.
And honestly? They haven't changed a bit this season. Still playing that same brave, aggressive, high-efficiency style they had last year. They're currently grinding through EuroLeague qualifiers, and they just came off a solid 2-0 road win against Motherwell over in Scotland this past Thursday.
Then you've got Spartak. They're sitting right at the top of the league standings, and man, you can tell they mean business this year. They brought in some seriously high-caliber talent, and it paid off immediately with a string of wins.
If you look back at how these two matched up last season, it was basically a wash—both games ended in 2-2 draws. Total deadlock.
Spartak is definitely coming in looking to take the win here. Even though Kuban is playing on home turf, they're the slight underdogs in my book... but even an underdog plays great when they start a season this strong. I'm expecting a wild, wide-open game where both sides are hunting for goals.
Spartak has always been known for that high-octane, "goals-galore" type of playstyle... and since Karpin is still calling the shots on the bench, not much has really shifted structurally. The only real difference is that this year, they actually look a lot more seasoned and dangerous than before.

23,55 Seattle Sounders - Portland Timbers 1 1,70 SS
f+2 2,80 SS

So, Seattle got absolutely shredded in the opening round, giving up four goals on the road against Austin FC. I'm just sitting here hoping they actually learned something from that disaster right out of the gate... they did manage to fix the vibes a little bit with a narrow 1-0 win over a smaller club in a continental qualifier, though everyone at the club is basically admitting things could be way better... even though they have a massive rematch coming up in a few days, they’re rolling out their heavy hitters today against Portland... honestly, besides grabbing three points, they're really just looking to build some momentum before that big game and maybe wash away that embarrassing start to the season... they're clearly the better side, because let's face it, Portland got smoked last time and now the pressure is all on them ☕ Portland also kicked off the season on a sour note, losing 2-0 at home to St. Louis City SC... they know they're facing a tough squad in Seattle, and frankly, I don't think many people in their camp expect much better... they're running the exact same lineup that blew it in the first round, and if you ask me, they might just end up repeating that same performance today... they're a pretty mediocre bunch; not totally hopeless, but given how badly Seattle needs this, taking the home side at 1 seems like a solid bet... I'm leaning toward the handicap though, mostly because these two teams always seem to play high-scoring games, and at 2.80, it feels worth the gamble

Seattle Sounders +2 @ 2.00

I mean, they're resting Anderson and Quinn because they aren't quite back to 100% yet, but I still feel like Seattle doesn't have much of a chance at Lumen Field today. Honestly, St. Louis City SC has given up two goals in their last three games, and they're basically just hanging out at the bottom of the table anyway. Plus, Seattle is playing a bunch of young talent who are super hungry to prove themselves, and the vibe around the squad seems really solid; they had such terrible finishing in the last match that they've gotta get some luck back soon, I guess...
It’s a holiday tomorrow, so I'm expecting at least 15,000 fans in the stands, and the Sounders really shouldn't let those people down..

I'm grabbing this bundle right here:

I’m telling you, betting on Ludogorets to take this one at 1.60 is basically throwing money straight into a shredder; it’s like expecting a high school JV squad to hold their own against a powerhouse from Alabama—totally delusional!

The odds on a blowout for the home favorites are basically a joke—it's like betting on a heavyweight champ to knock out some amateur in the first round; just take the easy money and move on.

Betting on the Split giants to take down Dila? Honestly, at these odds, you’d have to be absolutely delusional to pass this up. It's basically free money if you actually know anything about the game.

jadewolf16 said:Thursday at 6:00 PM.

Betting on the underdog to pull off an upset against a powerhouse like Atlanta United? Man, you've gotta be kidding me. I'm taking the home side at 2.70 all day long—it's basically a steal if you actually know anything about the grit this squad brings to the pitch!

Look, I’m totally not buying this. This team just isn't cut out for the big leagues, honestly—it doesn't matter if they're facing a powerhouse or some random underdog club from halfway across the world that nobody's ever heard of.

They’re gonna feel the loss of Miller big time—the guy was basically a human shield for the defense whenever things got messy. Sure, having Thompson back in the lineup helps, but let’s be real: losing that level of grit is a massive handicap for the Blues.

Look, I’m factoring in everything here—the brutal travel schedule, these rookie kids being completely out of their depth, and the fact that the opposition hasn't even blinked, let alone conceded a goal, for nearly three straight games. We’re basically staring down a mountain where we need to drop at least two on them just to stay alive, so yeah, it's a total mess.

Look, I’m not even saying they’re guaranteed to pull this off, but if anyone can protect a lead like that, it’s gonna be the Diligence squad—they're just too disciplined and tight-knit for anything else to happen.

Look, on the flip side, the visitors are heading into St. Louis with a 2-1 cushion from the first leg. Honestly, the home crowd is in for a rough ride because this local squad looks absolutely lifeless right now—they can’t buy a goal to save their lives, and they’ve been playing shorthanded in their last couple of matches too. After that disaster where they got completely dismantled by a top-tier club last season, I’m fully expecting them to finally step up and actually show some backbone here.

Honestly, there’s not much point even talking about the Galaxy. Even though the drama surrounding the club is absolute trash right now, they’re still way more talented than those guys from Moldova, and I really hope they actually prove it out there in Tiraspol. 🙂

LAFC - Dynamo Tbilisi, advancing @ 2.70

Honestly, I’d probably just stick to betting on an LAFC win outright—right now it's sitting at 2.40, but by kickoff, it’ll likely be a killer value play closer to 3.00—because if they just scrape a 1-0 victory, they don't actually advance.

Eric Fox7 said:Honestly, it might be smarter to just bet on an outright win for the LA Galaxy (currently @ 2.40, but on game day it’ll definitely be a killer pick with odds closer to @ 3)—because hey, a narrow 1-0 win doesn't actually mean they advance!

But man, I'm counting on them not pulling another 1-0 result, you know? I'm holding out until Thursday—if things look up, then the serious players with bigger stakes will go all-in on a Galaxy win. Then we can try to sneak in a parlay with five or six more picks that I'm not quite as "sure" about—like betting on Donnellson to score at 1.80. If Donnellson gets shut down by Miller, then everything just goes straight to hell!

Aug 11th

LAFC vs. LA Galaxy — LAFC to win @ 1.35

Last time, I got burned big time because of that "fatigue" excuse after their trip to Mexico—they couldn't even find the back of the net against the local squad! Now, they’ve got an even longer haul and a much tougher matchup on the horizon, so I really don't see a repeat of that disaster. If they lose, their morale is toast; if they move on, there's a massive party—but neither outcome helps my spread! They'll definitely play below their actual potential against LAFC.

Aug 9th

Portland Timbers vs. Seattle Sounders 1 @ 1.30

The USL Championship honestly looks like a goldmine if you follow it closely. You've got 16 teams where half the league is fighting tooth and nail for promotion, while three clubs are basically already out of the running. Every single week there's at least one "lock" with some pretty decent odds!

And it feels like Portland is going to be the big standout here—they're investing heavily, and they missed out on promotion by just one spot in the last two seasons. They used to be top-tier contenders and cup finalists, whereas for a team like Seattle, this is their first real run at this level in ages, and it looks like a quick return to the big leagues is coming.

Matchup: SO4 - Bayern | Over 2, 2.30, or Double Chance X2 at 1.50 (Parlay)

So, we’re looking at the first round of the US Open Cup. Both sides are facing lower-division opponents here. It is worth noting that while Schalke's opponent is playing at home, Bayern has to play in Osnabrück because their own stadium doesn't meet the necessary standards. In either scenario, the gap in talent is massive. Bayern has so much depth and competition within the squad that they'll be fighting for spots even in a game like this—I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them put up double digits. Schalke will likely run up the score too, but I doubt they'll outscore Bayern. You can tell by looking at the lines: the total goal margin for Schalke is set at 3.5 with the over paying 1.30, whereas for Bayern it's 4.5 with the over at 1.35. Given that the odds for the total goals in the matchup itself are essentially identical for both top-tier teams, this is definitely a play worth making.
