Don't sweat it too much. You might be dealing with some stress... Honestly, it wouldn't hurt to get your hormone levels checked out. They might just be a little out of whack. Wishing you the best luck.πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

I’m jumping into this thread because it’s basically the same situation, and I didn't want to clutter things up by starting a whole new one...
So, my period is late. I’m planning to take a test in the next few days, but here’s the catchβ€”I don't actually have a regular OB-GYN. I know, I know, it’s incredibly stupid and irresponsible of me, especially since I was fully intending to get that sorted out this month. If the test comes back positive, my next step will most likely be an abortion. Since that needs to happen within a pretty tight window, I’m wondering if there's any way to get an urgent pregnancy test done at a hospital? I'm worried that if I try to go through my insurance/public health system, the wait for an appointment will be way too long. I hope you guys see where I'm going with this (even though I feel like I just made my question way more complicated than it needs to be). Any help would be appreciated... thanks.

Money makes everything possible. You just book a private consultation and pay about 300 bucks... $167

So, my period is late, and I'm planning on taking a test in the next few days, but here's the catchβ€”I don't actually have my own gynecologist right now (I know, it's incredibly stupid and irresponsible, which sucks because I was literally planning to fix that this month), and if the test comes back positive, my next step would most likely be an abortion. Since that needs to happen within a pretty tight timeframe, I'm wondering if I can just go to a hospital and get an emergency pregnancy test done there? Because if I try to go through my insurance/public health system, I feel like I'll be stuck waiting forever for an appointment. I hope you guys get what I'm actually asking (even though I feel like I made that question super confusing), so please help me out if you can... thanks.

Look, just go grab a pregnancy test at CVS or Walgreens, they're like $20 bucks, and stop stressing out. You're just driving yourself crazy and that's probably why your period is late anyway. β˜•
Since you didn't mention whether you even had unprotected sex or anything like that, I really doubt you're pregnant. Just run to the drugstore so you can stop worrying!
How many days late are you?

Got it yesterday, finally!
The thing is, my cycle isn't exactly predictableβ€”it usually fluctuates between 28 and 33 days. But this time, it blew past that 33-day mark and didn't show up until day 41. I started low-key panicking because we had unprotected sex... so hopefully everything is fine now. Still, I'm a bit confused about those pregnancy "rules"β€”even though my period actually started, should I still bother taking a test just to be safe?

Look, I honestly don't think you even need to hear this, but maybe next time just take a second to weigh whether having unprotected sex is actually worth the massive risk of a pregnancy...

It’s hard to say without knowing if we're talking about a heavy flow or just some light spotting that might be misleading...

Honestly, from what I can tell, she’s just as strong as ever... at least that's my take on it.
Thanks for the input, ladies! πŸ˜‰

So, here’s the situation... my period is late. Again. It’s likely just the stress talking, though. I have surgery scheduled for next week, but the doctors won't move forward until this cycle clears up, and it simply refuses to show up. I already had to push back one hospital appointment because of this mess, and frankly, I don't have the energy to reschedule another one. Does anyone actually know if there’s anythingβ€”anything at allβ€”that can jumpstart the process? This might sound incredibly naive, but I’ve heard old wives' tales about soaking in hot water to trigger it. Probably just nonsense, I'm sure, but... if anyone has any actual advice, I’d be grateful.

I’ve realized that days two and five are easily the most brutal, where the pain hits so hard you feel like you might actually lose your mind.😲😲😲
So, I wanted to start a new thread to ask you all about this, because it’s all connected, isn't it?πŸ˜‰
I recently had some urine tests done, and they showed elevated white blood cell counts, which led my doctor to suggest I go see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic.
What could that possibly indicate? Should I mention that I went to the lab right after my period ended?

Knavon Forte.
Honestly, nothing else really touches the spot for meβ€”it’s like swallowing a piece of candy or something. I mean, Knavon is the absolute gold standard, even if I'm pretty sure it's absolutely wrecking my stomach lining...

Look, look, just chill out for a secondβ€”seriously, take a breath, because if you ask me, that’s some solid old-school advice right there... πŸ™‚

Furthermore, this was my first time. I started my period at 4:00 PM, but we had unprotected sex at 4:00 AM. It went on for quite a while, though he didn't finish inside me. I visited a gynecologist who wasted my time with nonsensical questions about small-town life in the Midwest and looked at me like I was some kind of street walker. He demanded to know my cycle dates; I lied because I haven't been tracking it precisely lately. Usually, it’s about a 30-day cycle. Out of pure embarrassment, I claimed we used a condom that broke rather than admitting we had unprotected sex and he didn't finish inside. He told me not to start birth control yet because it would mess with my period. He just said to come back for an exam once my cycle ends. What should I do? The chances of pregnancy... I have no idea. I am in total shock. I can't think straight. I am dying for this period to end so I can finally take a pregnancy test.

Look, if you're sitting there stressing about being pregnantβ€”don't. You aren't.
And honestly, I don't even know what kind of definitive answer he’s going to give you during an exam once your period actually shows up, even if you were pregnant.
I mean, four days after the fact, whether he’s doing a physical exam or running an ultrasound, he probably wouldn't be able to tell you anything for sure anyway.
I guess I'm just questioning if he could even determine if you're pregnant or not at that stage.

I assume you're male.

What should I do? What are the odds of getting pregnant?

Clearer now?

Theresa, I really hope you won't start panicking like this after every single time you have sex.🀣

I assume you actually understand how ovulation works and when conception is even possible?πŸ˜‰
