Here is the current situation:--
I was counting last night and realized this cycle arrived 8 to 10 days EARLY... does that have anything to do with my initial question? 😢
I took a test this morning. It’s the final day of my period; nothing but some certain spotting left. The test showed one line, so I am not pregnant.
However, the instructions say you should test on the first day of a missed period.
Does this mean my test was a waste of time and I just have to wait UNTIL my next period arrives?? 😕 😢

Karen Ross98 said:So, here’s the deal on how things are looking right now—
So, I was doing some math last night and realized my period actually showed up like 8 to 10 days earlier than usual... does that have anything to do with what I was asking about in my first post? 😢
So I finally took a test this morning! It’s actually the very last day of my period, so all I'm dealing with right now are just those tiny little traces of spotting, you know? Anyway, the test came back with just one single line, which pretty much means I'm definitely not pregnant!
So, I was looking at the instructions, and they're basically saying you gotta take the test on the very first day you realize your period is late!
So, does this basically mean I just wasted my time testing for nothing and now I’m stuck just sitting around waiting to see IF my period actually shows up next month?? 😕 😢

Yeah, totally!
Honestly, it’s way too early to even bother with a test right now, because you really need to wait at least three weeks after that risky encounter or just hold out until you're at least one day late for your period if you want any kind of real answer!

I’m considering delaying my period. I visited my gynecologist, and she prescribed Primolut-N. The instructions are to start taking two tablets daily on day 15 of my cycle—which is 13 days before my expected period—and continue until I am ready to have it... I’ve been reading through the discussions here, and it seems most people suggest starting just a couple of days beforehand. Now, thirteen days feels like a long time to be on medication. What are your thoughts on this approach?

So I went without a condom yesterday, which was my first time being unprotected... and uh, yeah... he didn't even finish inside (actually, he didn't even finish at all), but now I'm sitting here dealing with all those PMS symptoms—sore breasts, cramps, feeling super moody and irritable—and I’m still spiraling with this irrational fear that I might somehow end up pregnant anyway. I am definitely not doing the unprotected thing ever again, no way, I'm switching to the pill immediately. Someone please just give me some peace of mind right about now 😁

So, did you take the pill after that happened? I was planning on it, but my OB-GYN—who’s more of an idiot than a doctor—told me to hold off because it would wreck my cycle and cause complications.

Wait, are you talking to me?

I didn't take them since I don't think there's even a point at this stage; I'm probably in my non-fertile window anyway. It happened on the 18th and my last period started on the 23rd. For the last three months, my cycle has been consistently 33 days... plus, he didn't even finish inside me.

Well, he might have been right. Maybe. It won't wreck every woman's cycle, but if yours is already irregular, there's a high chance the pill will just make things worse. There are other ways those pills can harm you, too. Personally, I think they're gross. Even a top-tier specialist told me she thinks the whole invention is disgusting, though she still takes them despite the side effects.

I’m personally pulling for my number to be part of that million. 😁

So you're hoping? Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. 😁

Look, I know a girl who actually beat those astronomical odds—she's got an amazing kid now—but let's be real: stuff like that only happens once in a blue moon.

So, I’m pretty much always on birth control, and honestly, all I did was start a new pack right away to push my period back. It works pretty reliably if you just keep going. I mean, if you aren't using pills at all, I don't even know what to tell you, really. You should probably just go talk to your OB-GYN or something about it.

Honestly, I didn't even get a straight answer because the doctor wouldn't stop acting all grossed out about it... making everything seem so bloody and disgusting. It was honestly embarrassing. You’d think people working at a local community health clinic would be more professional... 🙄

Hehehe....😂 Some people just aren't wired right... I have sex while on my period and I'm still doing just fine! 😉 Hehe..

I did consult my gynecologist about this... I trust his medical opinion, but I have always been personally opposed to taking those pills regardless of the circumstances. However, ensuring I don't deal with my period while traveling long distances is genuinely important to me. It seems to be a common method for delaying it, so I decided to go along with it. Especially since I am switching climates and flying across the country; I would hate for my cycle to start prematurely and ruin my time at the beach... 🙂 Hopefully, I can manage to pick up the prescription sometime today... 🙂

Rachel Wilson44 said:Haha...😂 Some women just aren't on my level. I still have a healthy sex life even during my period, and I feel perfectly fine. 😉 Hehe.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty obvious what he's wondering—whether she's actually disgusted or not. She just stood there acting all offended and dramatic, like I was somehow forcing her to have sex with me. 😂

Honestly, doctors these days... they really let themselves go. They'll allow just about anything. 🙄

Personally, I’ve never had an issue with having sex during my period—though, typically, we were talking about days four or five, right at the tail end of it when things are winding down. It was always manageable; I’d just pop a tampon in and pull it out right before we got started so he wouldn't even notice a thing. Everything stayed perfectly tidy. But then, there was this one time he swung by right when my cycle started. That first night was fine because, well, it was dark—you know how it is—but then we had sex in the morning. When he realized the condom was covered in blood and saw the sheets were a mess... honestly, he looked like he was about to pass out right then and there. That was pretty much the day I decided to officially retire from period sex altogether. 🤣

Honestly, how can anyone even consider having sex during a period? It’s the one time a woman is actually getting herself clean, and you guys can barely stand it. Plus, it’s just ridiculous that girls your age don't know the basic facts about this... I think this topic is better suited for teenagers.

Kate Flores4 said:I’m hearing this kind of talk too, and honestly, I find it hard to believe. Do you have a link or some kind of source that actually explains how that works? From what I understand, you can still get pregnant outside of your typical fertile window because double ovulation is a thing. It isn't exactly common, but it does happen—sometimes the pituitary gland triggers a second ovulation on the other ovary about 6 to 10 days after the first one. You see it happen quite often during the summer when we're getting more sun exposure or even just when we're feeling particularly in love. 😉

Also, just a heads-up: for some women, ovulation can shift around quite easily. Even if there’s only one ovulation per month, it doesn't necessarily have to happen right in the middle of the cycle—it could land on day 20 instead. Everyone is different, I guess. But honestly, dealing with periods is just exhausting. It feels like we never get a moment of peace. 😢

I actually once asked my gynecologist if it’s okay to have sex during your period. I didn't exactly get a helpful answer, either—she just acted all disgusted, acting like it was some gross, bloody mess. Honestly, I was so embarrassed I wanted the ground to swallow me up. It's wild how you can find such odd characters working at a local university health clinic. 🙄

Because it's just plain terrible!

Look, I’m totally fine with having sex while I'm on my period... my guy is actually super into it too... we just head under the shower afterward and call it a day... I don't get why people make such a huge deal out of it or act like it's gross or something... we've even done it on the very first day of my cycle... so what? We never bother with protection either, and he always finishes inside me, whether I'm bleeding or not.
Anyway, I've got a quick question... I recently had to take those emergency contraceptive pills and it gave me this fake period... so, if anyone knows, does my fertile window kick back in right after that bleeding stops, or how does that work? If someone knows, please hit me up, if not, whatever.😍

Wow... wait, you're actually 22? Back in my day—before I started using actual birth control—I used to just rely on "divine intervention," which basically meant hoping for the best while things ended up inside me. Anyway, I was in a relationship for three years back then, even though I've only been on the pill for two months now. Not exactly the smartest move, but hey—just wanted to let you know that you aren't pregnant!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever heard about those pills? You know, the ones that leave you feeling totally wrecked the next day? 🙄
