Even doctors here suggest doing those "cleanses" for a few days—just sticking to fruit juices and herbal teas to reset the system and all that. For a healthy person, doing this a couple of times a year isn't exactly an attack on your health.

Good grief, I don't get any of you... Honestly, what's wrong with you people? How is a little fresh cheese and strawberries for dinner not considered the perfect late-night meal?

I'm thinking about 🙂

but maybe just a weekend juice cleanse—using the stuff I squeeze myself at home. It’s not even about the weight, really; people just say it’s good to flush out all the junk from all that processed food we eat.

Joe is freaking amazing and I honestly think he just totally wrecked the whole theory.

😉

You definitely lose weight from it, even when you're "cheating" on your diet.

It works wonders on your metabolism, and it’s actually pretty decent even when you just pair it with some healthy meals!

A total game changer for me!

It’s perfect right now since I need to stick to hot, liquid stuff because of this cold, but it’ll be great in the summer too.

Honestly, even chocolate doesn't taste like anything to me lately, even though I'm still eating it, but this chicken noodle soup recipe is a godsend.🙂

My husband is always complaining about smells in the kitchen, but he's such a meathead, so...😛

look, if I can lose weight just by eating this, 😂 then I’d much rather stick to a chicken noodle soup recipe than deal with the misery of running laps around Central Park!

starting tomorrow... hopefully...

(lord knows how much sweat I've wasted for nothing 😁 )

Look, you didn't exactly break a sweat there... soup only works when everything clicks together perfectly, and for me, one of those big factors is just constant stress over the kids!😉

On another note, has anyone else ever been super strict about their diet, barely eating anything at all, yet the scale just won't budge?!

I think my point is pretty obvious...🙂

A chicken noodle soup recipe works just the same as having strawberries with cheese, yogurt, hot dogs, mozzarella and tomato, tuna, or basically any light dinner you can grab.
Cutting calories makes you lose weight, and working out speeds things up... obviously.

But let's be real, most crash diets end up being a total waste of time.

I honestly have no clue what I actually lost when I was on that diet—6 pounds and two clothing sizes, just gone. It’s like all my inner demons decided to manifest as fat and then vanish overnight.😁 🙄 😁

Scientific theories get built up and torn down constantly. Every single day.

The reality is that dieting—basically just forcing your body into submission—isn't smart or healthy in the long run. Especially if you're looking to drop 10 or 20 pounds. But when we're talking about a few extra pounds picked up over the winter while snacking on popcorn by the fireplace and watching TV with my favorite person😉 or whatever, I am certainly not going to overhaul my entire lifestyle, move to Tibet, and start eating strictly according to some blood type chart without ever slipping up again🙄 just to lose a little weight. If it's just water weight at first and it makes me feel better, I'm doing it. And I'll be doing it with a killer chicken noodle soup recipe. Because it works, it tastes great, and it gets results fast (regardless of how many "skeptics" might disagree).

And look, as much as I realize I'm putting my body into a bit of a shock by "dieting," I'm also fully aware that I'm just an ordinary woman. I'm imperfect, I have preferences, and I want to fit back into my favorite linen pants by next week. So, I'm going to make it happen. If I end up with osteoporosis when I'm 60 because of a temporary diet, well, screw it. I could get hit by a car tomorrow anyway.😁

I'm not going to overanalyze this soup too much. Nor am I going to obsess over every pound or every bead of sweat.😎

My whole point is that any reduction in calorie intake leads to losing weight. The soup itself doesn't magically melt fat away... it’s just the calorie deficit. Nothing more, nothing less.

Is it alright if I have this chicken noodle soup recipe later in the evening, maybe after 6:00 PM? Or even right before I head to bed? 🤔

Look, if you take everything on this forum literally, you're going to end up thinking I'm Nathan Collins2😁 😁 and I'll probably start thinking you're a dog.😁 Nobody actually claimed the soup itself burns calories. I hope you realize I was using a figure of speech here.
Personally, I stated that the specific vegetable blend in this soup—since it excludes things like heavy starches—boosts your metabolism. It helps your body burn through the calories from whatever else you eat alongside it more efficiently. If you're sticking to the diet's guidelines, then bingo! You eat, you aren't starving, your metabolism kicks into gear, and your system gets a clean sweep. As long as you don't overeat and you stay moderately active, the weight drops off. The whole point is that it works much faster than a "traditional" diet where you're just white-knuckling it by cutting out bread, sweets, and skipping dinner entirely.

I mean, is it okay to have a bowl of chicken noodle soup late at night right before hitting the hay?

Honestly, I don't see why you'd stress about having this chicken noodle soup recipe for dinner. It doesn't leave you feeling bloated or holding onto water weight the next morning.
It might even give your metabolism a little kick while you sleep...
What do you think?🙂

You might even give your metabolism a little nudge while you sleep—though I can already hear the "scientists" out there rolling their eyes at me...😁 ).

What do you guys think?🙂

TXN

So, I managed to drop from 175 down to 155 😁 😁

But, of course, I was running regularly, and I never skipped breakfast. 😁 😎

Michael Fox46, did you actually manage to drop that weight using that chicken noodle soup recipe and all that running, or what?

By the way, you can eat Joe in the evening, provided the acidity doesn't mess with your stomach. It’s pretty acidic. Personally, I can't handle it after 6 PM.

My breakfast is usually just some sandwiches I whip up myself using some sourdough bread from Panera Bread. For lunch, I had some chicken noodle soup, and when I get hungry at work, I just grab an apple or some other fruit—anything except bananas. I also run quite a bit on top of all that! I try really hard not to eat anything after 6 PM, except for maybe some fruit. Though, I have to admit, I totally slipped up today and ate some chips 😳 after 6 PM. Between my daily runs and staying on top of my diet, I’ve actually managed to drop 22 pounds. Oh, and I drink a ton of water, probably about four 1.5L bottles a day. Even today, I came straight home from work and headed right out for a run. Since I eat my meals earlier, it doesn't bother my stomach much, especially if I add a little homemade tomato sauce and some pepper.

Anyway, I have a quick question for you ladies.

So, I just snacked on some chips after 6 PM, even though I drink massive amounts of water. Was I allowed to have those chips? 🙄 I'm planning to head out for my run around 10 PM.
Sometimes I feel like my stomach is just getting bigger and bigger from all the water I drink. 🙄
