Tamaris carries that specific line with the wide strap—distinctive, really. I picked up a pair in Graz a few years back, though I haven't the slightest clue if they even stock that particular model here at home.

I spent years hunting for them locally (and honestly, I didn't have much luck with the shops in my neck of the woods), so I finally just pulled the trigger and ordered from the UK via Evans. I can't even begin to tell you how stoked I was when they arrived—I popped them on over my jeans and they zipped up without any drama at all. They’ve got all the measurements listed for sizing, so you just measure the width of your foot and pick accordingly!

Is there anything available for those with thinner legs?

I just placed my first order from ASOS and I am honestly blown away. I picked up a jacket, and their "size advisor" got it perfectly right. You don't just plug in your height and weight; they actually ask about your body shape and all that stuff too. I snagged this coat for only £35, which is a steal. I wouldn't find anything remotely close to this quality at any local boutique for less than $167.

One thing that drives me absolutely nuts is how their models are all different heights. I always forget to check the stats, which is a total rookie mistake. Case in point: I ordered the exact same size as the skirt above, but then I got this one:

This second one could basically fit me as a crop top. It's way too short because the model in the first pic is about 5'7", but this lady is like 5'11" :roleyes:. Plus, there's probably enough extra fabric to stretch it out like a tent, so even tailoring it wouldn't really fix the vibe.

Sure, they're cheap, but they aren't actually "good value." They had such a massive chemical stench right out of the bag that as soon as I tried them on, I just shoved them straight back in the packaging to return them.

Ladies. There used to be all this talk about creams or gels for smoothing out the thighs when wearing skirts—specifically that Balea stuff for "dimples." I was hunting for it on DM the other day and—lo and behold—it’s apparently gone. I haven't looked in quite a while, so I can't tell if they just rebranded or changed the packaging entirely. Does anyone actually have recommendations for something else that works for this purpose?

I usually just wear pants, but I think some women suggest using stick deodorant, maybe some Johnson's baby cream, or just regular baby oil.
