Fashion for curvy girls

I’d honestly suggest anyone wearing a size 44 or up to head over to Old Navy or Target to check out their fitting rooms!
They have such gorgeous dresses now—they definitely aren't those frumpy old-fashioned styles from ten years ago.
Plus, the prices are pretty much what you'd find at a local flea market, but the quality is miles ahead.

Also, I noticed they bumped up their sizing standards a bit last year. So, if you usually grab a 46, you might actually be a 42 or 44 now—and trust me, someone like Brandon Wells712 would definitely notice the difference!😁
They even carry different lengths for petite, tall, and regular heights.

...Yeah, I definitely have my moments too... I've got some curves, but I prefer things to be well-distributed over my 5'9" frame...🙏 🙏 🤣 🤣

I only know my way around the shops in Chicago, so I can't speak for how the selection looks everywhere else... there's this one boutique over on Michigan Avenue—I can't recall the name—but the same crew runs a spot in the Water Tower Place mall too. That one is more formal, more business-casual, and they carry larger sizes. You might have some luck at Nordstrom, since they tend to stock bigger sizes as well. If I think of any other spots, I'll drop them here.

How full? 🙂

I usually wear a size 4, 6, or 8 in our sizing, and you can find some really lovely pieces over at Marks & Spencer...😍

Over in the Elm Street area—specifically in the courtyard at the Maxx Fashion center—there are these two shops right next to each other. One’s pretty casual, the other’s more upscale... it's basically what you hit if you're walking down the street past the Bank of America on the left side.

Then there's that Lady XXL place over in the Heights—you know, if you're heading from the market toward the Chase building, it's on the right just past the Bank of America (which, honestly, is my only landmark🙂). I'm just not a huge fan of their styles... plus, everything is cut short, so if you're actually tall, you have to order online.

Personally, I'm a pretty big girl—size 20 in US terms—so I usually stick to Marks & Spencer, though I did manage to find some jeans at Dorothy Perkins in the mall (they carry up to a size 20 there).

Finding clothes in larger sizes that actually look decent without breaking the bank isn't really the issue out here...

Though, learning how to sew definitely helps.🙂

I’m a total tiny thing, usually rocking a size 12 to 14 🙂 and I actually found tops, pants, AND tees at Manu...
Honestly, I was just so stoked because I actually found stuff that fits me properly and looks decent on my frame...
Oh, and yeah, I even snagged one crazy little mini dress for summer... 😁

I was at Style Exclusive the other day with a friend, and I ended up picking up this gorgeous tunic and a linen one for about $17—which honestly looks just as lovely. They really do carry beautiful pieces (aside from that old-fashioned stuff 😬) without being overpriced... the tunic feels a bit more dressed up, though, $67 👍

Body-wise, I’m definitely more "top-heavy," you know? Like, I’ve got the curves up top, but my waist isn't exactly snatched, and my butt is pretty much non-existent (yeah, yeah, I know, I’m one of those rare women who actually dreams of having a bigger backside 😁 ).
I was thinking about going with something low-cut, maybe with a seam below the waistline in an A-line cut...

Anyone know where I can find a shop for bigger guys? Looking for XXXL shirts, maybe.

You can find larger tees and button-downs at Gjuro XXL (over on Vlaska), but you'll have plenty of options at Navigare stores—there's one right in the downtown plaza.

It seems like there's more stuff geared toward older crowds—those whole vest and top sets and whatnot—but I guess you can still find things for younger women if you look...
