I can definitely swing a bit more cash for some decent denim, but honestly? I think brands like Replay and Diesel are just total rip-offs.

Oh, absolutely. We’re talking about basic cotton here—for heaven's sake! I actually have a pair of jeans from back in the 90s that I still wear today, and they weren't some luxury investment... Think Levi's, Miss Sixty, Top Shop, Benetton...
The only pair that ever completely lost its shape and fell apart after just two years were my H&M ones. Seriously, stay far away from those if you want anything that actually lasts.

And honestly, you can find chocolate everywhere—from $1.25 at the local grocery store all the way to those high-end boutiques in Manhattan where they charge a fortune for... well, nothing special. It’s just basic cocoa, for heaven's sake. 🙄

Honestly, I find these people who take offense over a single piece of clothing—which, let’s be real, is wildly overpriced—absolutely hilarious. It’s like they’re mourning a firstborn child instead of just talking about a pair of basic jeans.

You don't need to write about me in the third person—it works just fine if you use "I"... and honestly, it does. I don't work for any of those companies mentioned, I don't own their stock, and I certainly don't stand to gain a dime from their sales spikes. Either you’re a bit young, a bit short on cash, or perhaps just lacking the expertise to distinguish raw materials when you claim "cotton is cotton"—because, let's be clear, this isn't even grown properly, much less processed correctly.

Where can I actually find perfect skinny jeans that won't stretch out at the knees after five minutes? Pretty much everything I own has bagged out at the knees—it looks so trashy that they’re basically just gathering dust in my closet now. 🤦 Ugh, money is tight though... I'm pretty slim, usually an XS or small.

Everything seems to stretch out faster these days—for me, the worst ones were from H&M. I had a pair from Loft a few years back that never lost their shape at all, and I've heard Levi's is actually solid quality...

Mine were definitely the worst from Pull & Bear 🤦 probably the absolute worst ever—they barely lasted two months... I guess I just have zero luck with jeans...

I’ve found Diesel skinnies to be pretty solid. They did eventually stretch out on me, but only after a massive amount of wear...😉

Has anyone here actually picked up pants from Walmart lately? I’m curious about the quality. Do they lose their color after a couple of washes, or do they actually hold up...?

Honestly, the best jeans I ever owned were my old Wranglers and Lees... I wore the exact same pair for four years straight before handing them off to my sister. They were basically indestructible! But since money’s been tight lately—ugh—I started picking up cheaper stuff from places like Zara, H&M, or American Eagle. And man, I can't even begin to tell you how much those brands suck. They barely last me a year tops; the denim thins out, and they start ripping at the pockets and the belt loops. It's a total disaster. In my book, it really comes down to this: you get what you pay for!>

Finally grabbed some white pants three years ago instead of jeans and honestly? Obsessed. I always have that annoying issue where my pants either stretch out like crazy or start splitting right at the crotch, but these things are solid—still fit perfect after all this time. I actually just needed white bottoms and stumbled onto these by accident (and hey, if you care, they even let you use their restroom to try them on), but I'm so glad I did! 🙂

Thanks, I think I'll pick up a pair to test out and then we'll see...

Hello everyone—seeking some assistance if anyone happens to be in the know.😛

It’s regarding these men's jeans: Lee Dungarees Carpenter http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lee-Dungaree...3D121561992828

I can't find them anywhere in American retail stores. Has anyone here ordered from a specific seller or used eBay for something similar? Any info would be appreciated.👍

Salas Jeans is running a sale on their website right now. Does anyone know if they’re going to drop the prices even further, or is this as good as it gets?

For that kind of cash, you can actually grab some decent denim. I’m talking Lee, LTB, Mustang, Levi’s, or Wrangler. And hey, if you happen to stumble upon a sale, look for Scotch & Soda. I’ve had my Scotch pair for two years now—worn them constantly—and honestly? They still look brand new, straight off the rack.

Thanks, Roger Thomas2! 🙂

I’ve heard Lee and Wrangler are top-tier.
Back when I was a kid, I used to wear Levi's made by Varteks, but they don't make those anymore.
Diesel seems great too, though they're a bit pricey. As for LTB, I have no idea where to find them here in Los Angeles.

What’s the actual quality like on those LBT denim overalls?

Replay makes some stunning denim designs, but the quality just isn't there. Take the two pairs I bought myself, for instance; both ended up splitting right at the crotch in less than a year. On top of that, they stretched out so much at the waist and hips that they won't even stay up. I paid $600 for the first pair and $400 for the second, and frankly, it was the last time I’ll be shopping there. To give some perspective, I haven't had a single pair of jeans tear anywhere except maybe at the knees after three or four years of heavy wear, and that was usually from brands like Diesel, Salsa, Miss Sixty, Pepe Jeans, or Review. Replay was a massive disappointment 👎

But oh my god, what a disaster!!!!😠
I tried on stuff at Replay, Guess, Benetton... the denim quality is actually great, I won't lie, but the cuts...
I mean, who on earth can even fit into these things???😲
The rises are so shallow that you practically have to be a skeleton just to pull them up!!!! You need a 15-inch waist to make them work, plus legs like a giraffe!!! It's a complete joke!!!
And I only weigh 110 pounds😁 and I'm 5'3"!

Does anyone know if there are any "normal" jean cuts left in this world?? Something with a low rise (that isn't incredibly shallow) and a slight bootcut.
I'm going to spend the rest of the day wandering around town; hopefully, I'll strike gold.
There has to be hope somewhere!!!!
😉

Personally, I’ve always had a soft spot for Tally Weijl, The New Yorker, and Zara—that last one is a non-negotiable staple. Sure, brands like Lewis offer something premium, and while they definitely come with a steeper price tag, you really do get what you pay for when it comes to quality. 🙂
