She told me—and this isn't just hearsay, it can be verified by reviewing her digital footprint on her PC since she uses her own login credentials—that certain actions were taken. For the record, she doesn't deal with clients face-to-face, which changes the dynamic slightly. I need to understand what kind of legal repercussions or sanctions she might actually face for this; after all, we have reviewed the evidence several times already.

You can file a complaint directly at your local branch, give their client hotline a ring, or just shoot them an email...

Good evening—and look, I am perfectly aware of where one files a formal grievance🙂 ,but my actual concern lies elsewhere: what kind of fallout is this individual actually facing?☕

In case this falls under the category of trade secrets (?):

Disclosure and Unauthorized Acquisition of Trade Secrets
Section 262.
(1) Any individual who unauthorizedly discloses, delivers, or otherwise makes accessible to another party data that constitutes a trade secret—as well as anyone who acquires such data with the intent to pass it to an unauthorized person—

shall be punished by imprisonment for up to three years.

(2) If the offense described in paragraph 1 of this section results in the perpetrator obtaining significant financial gain for themselves or others, or causes significant damage,

the perpetrator shall be punished by imprisonment from six months to five years.

(3) No criminal offense exists if the act described in paragraph 1 was committed primarily in the interest of the public.

(4) The criminal offense described in paragraph 1 is prosecuted upon request.

The New York Times, Issue No. 125, Nov 07, 2011, Penal Code: Section 262.

I honestly can't say for sure how much that specific statute applies to your situation—since you haven't really shared many details yet—but since nobody else has weighed in, here’s something to chew on while you wait.

That said, if this person is just a relative of yours who checked your balance and then teased you about being loaded, I really don't think that qualifies as a criminal offense. However—and this is a big "however"—there are likely internal disciplinary actions within the bank itself.

Since you were asking how to go about it...
loneseal42 said:To whom it may concern—I have a situation involving an acquaintance who holds a position at JPMorgan Chase. This individual has been accessing my personal accounts without any authorization—not just mine, but also those belonging to my mother and the rest of my family. How does one go about filing a formal complaint to ensure this person faces actual consequences? It isn't a matter of some teller peeking at files; this person holds a more senior role, specifically catering to high-net-worth clients. I am currently based in Savannah, while this individual operates out of Washington, D.C. And let me be clear: this wasn't a singular lapse in judgment—this person has accessed our private information multiple times within a very short window of time.

I already gave you my answer... 🤷
You really think someone on a forum like this can tell you whether that person is actually going to get fired or not?! You should probably just take your complaint straight to JPMorgan Chase... then their internal departments can figure out if you've got a valid case and decide what kind of disciplinary action needs to happen...

Does anyone know what the fee is for paying utility bills through eBay?
So, I was chatting with an eBay rep earlier today, and they told me straight up that I could have up to seven accounts per month for free.
But here's the thing—I just tried paying my electric bill via eBay, and it shows they charged me a $0.30 fee.
I'm a little confused since they said those first seven were free, and this is actually my very first time ever using eBay to pay a bill.

If you have a premium fan package, you can actually get 5 or 7 accounts for free, depending on which one you’ve got. It's worth checking with JPMorgan Chase to see what your specific perks are before you file a claim.

I actually have a premium card, so I'll definitely give them a shout.

With the dynamic tier, it's fifteen.☕

Quick question here:

For a few years now, I’ve been renewing my auto insurance policy through eBay in partnership with USA...

But this time, when I try to renew my coverage and punch in my details, I get hit with this:

The information provided doesn't match—we suggest the following instead:
[_] Policy Number [OK]: xxxxxxxxxx
[_] License Plate [OK]: NYXXXYY
[_] First Name [OK]: xxxxxx
[_] Last Name/Entity [OK]: XXXXXX
[_] Leasing [OK]: NO

Well, obviously, all those x’s and y’s are replaced by my actual info.
And isn't it funny how the system claims everything is "OK" in the brackets right next to the data, yet it still rejects me?

Why on earth won't it accept my input when the details are perfectly accurate and my policy shows up just fine in the American insurance registry?

It could just be a little glitch in the app—honestly, even the best software hits a snag now and then—but if a major player like JPMorgan Chase 😁
can't get it right, who knows?

I really hope that’s the case... because honestly, I can't see any other way to justify it... everything just seems to line up too perfectly...

I am having absolutely nightmare-ish issues with my mobile security token—you know, the thing used to authorize transactions—and I honestly can’t tell if it’s just me getting locked out constantly or if this is happening to everyone else too.

So, they introduced the token as an extra layer of security for payments over a certain threshold, but then they scrapped the limit and replaced it with this pre-approved recipient list where you can add anyone without needing extra authorization. The problem is, my stupid app keeps spitting out the wrong MAC address that I’m supposed to enter on my PC to confirm everything.

One time it got locked, and I thought, "Okay, fine, just a glitch," so I requested a new activation link. I log in the first time and everything seems perfectly fine, but then I try to log in a second time and—lo and behold—it gives me the wrong MAC address again, locks me out, and the whole cycle repeats... I just don't get it!

I'm not even doing anything wrong here; I've already reached out to customer service, but I'm starting to wonder if my phone is just being too dim—like, maybe some internal setting is messing things up? I’m using a Samsung Galaxy—which, let's be honest, is absolute garbage—but hey, it gets the job done, I guess...

I’m just curious—is anyone else dealing with this kind of thing, or am I the only one running into these issues lately?

Hi everyone.

I’m currently a student at Harvard Business School working on my thesis regarding the analysis of internet banking usage in the US. I would appreciate it if you could spare a few minutes of your time to fill out this survey; it would be a massive help with my research. Thanks.

Can I set up an m-token if I don't have a physical one on me?
Basically, I sent back my old hardware token along with the hand fan I got when I first opened my checking account. The monthly fees they were hitting me with just felt too high to justify keeping it.
Now I’m trying to make a payment through Chase online banking, and I'm stuck. 😢
Do I actually need to head down to a branch to request this, and does anyone know what the monthly fee looks like for using the app instead? Any advice would be appreciated.

So, I was having this massive headache dealing with the IRS—total nightmare, right? Since I couldn't get anyone to pick up the phone no matter how many times I called their help line, I figured, okay, let's just send an email and see what happens. Fast forward through exactly 28 days of waiting... and what do I get? A response that says: "Sorry for the wait. Please let us know if you’re still having trouble." 😕

Honestly, Chase’s business portal is an absolute disaster of a product. If you happen to misplace that specific unlock code you were handed during registration, your USB security key becomes nothing more than a useless piece of plastic. To get a replacement, you basically have to throw $67 out the window. I suppose that's just how business is done in America. To make matters even worse, the whole interface is a nightmare of Java errors, buggy applets, and various other software glitches that seem to haunt the application itself. It’s truly pathetic. We’ll keep using the account until the end of the year, but after that, we are leaving Chase for good.
