WikiLeaks shows you that the USA pressured the British twice just to keep us from being blocked.
But hey, I guess you still believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy...

It’s no coincidence, really. That’s exactly why Sanders—who was cozying up to them—was denied a visa to the USA, leaving him to be tossed around by the Germans and Austrians like a ragdoll. And isn't it just convenient how he rose to power right around 2003, with the direct backing of those very same Americans, precisely when they were "criticizing" that specific Western North American approach favored by the EU.

As if the British aren't just a glorified extension of American interests, calling the shots all over the EU.

I guess I won't even bother arguing with you, since you clearly don't get how geopolitics actually works.

Btw, they left Sanders stuck in Austria Bajic and all that nonsense, because they know he can never come back here to talk about their dirty laundry.
Only naive people actually believe anyone has influence in this mess.

Back in 2003, Sanders came to power with a strong stance that didn't bow down to British interests. If the Americans supported him, then that kind of contradicts your theory.
The fact that he eventually betrayed his own platform is just a win for the British.

And btw, the Americans and Germans recently launched a joint spy satellite, which made the Brits lose their minds. It’s pretty weird if you try to factor that into your "puppet" theory...
Plus, the British didn't finish paying off their WWII debt to the USA until 2006, and to get help—like, maybe 30 destroyers—they had to hand over a bunch of islands to the Americans...

The US wants a strong EU, but the British keep tearing it apart. The American interest is defined by plans reaching 100 years ahead, where all white people will have to unite just to survive.

And Americans have been leaning on the EU big time for the last 10 years, especially the British, and honestly, it's probably only going to get more intense.

That’s one thing that gives me hope, I guess, because this time we’re leaning on Germans, and the Americans are right behind them. Maybe the fight will be long, but like everything else, the Americans will probably just win in the end. 😉

If you're standing in for the crowd that was busy "shaping" America Foreign Policy until recently—all while pretending they actually understood how global power dynamics work—then honestly, I’d much rather remain an ignorant bystander.

Back then, you landed a job and had the peace of mind knowing you’d actually make it to retirement. Now, they’re out here signing three-month contracts—yeah, right! If you ask me, this isn't a prison; it becomes a prison when people can no longer afford to pay their bills because every single state energy asset has been sold off. ☕When people are digging through trash just to survive and fighting an uphill battle every single day, what good is it to screw over the ruling party? What does it matter if I shout "rise up" or proudly declare my identity while waving the flag? None of that is going to pay my bills.

Right. Just cancel your internet then and pay the water bill. 🤷

The Americans actually seem to be at odds with the EU on this one. Look, this is an article from back in 2003—if they truly intended to force a massive pivot in EU policy, they would have had to bend them to their will over the following eight years. They didn't.

Now they’ve got a Muslim president, which fits perfectly since they've always been all about those kinds of associations.👎

What we're talking about is reality, not just some catchy slogan. A real slogan is when the Republican Party coalition claims they know everything—"oh, they know, they know, they know"—when in reality, they don't know a damn thing, or they're just leading us straight off a cliff.😂😂

Here’s how things actually went down (either you don't remember or maybe you're just too young to get it):

Back in the late 80s, if you got paid, you had to swap that cash for German marks the same damn day, because by tomorrow, you'd already lost like 15% of its value. I guess if you made 100 bucks, ten days later it was basically worth a single dollar if you didn't move fast enough. Inflation was hitting millions of percent... everything felt worthless, even when you worked your ass off.

Nothing was actually available to buy, I guess. And whatever you could grab was dirt cheap because it was all just communist garbage subsidized by the state, with prices basically set by whoever was in charge.

Imports used to be pricey, I guess. Everyone would just head over to Trieste to shop. Half the Italians there probably know some American because of that.

I mean, just look at how women lived back then... There wasn't even a choice in pads, just one single kind. No imported makeup or Max Factor stuff either. You couldn't find designer jeans unless they were from Sears, and forget about fancy brands—you were basically rocking cheap underwear from Target, basic clothes from Walmart, and those clunky plastic sandals from some local discount store. I guess.

If you worked in America and didn't have some side hustle, you were basically broke. I mean, seriously, your paycheck could barely cover the first ten days of the month, then you're just stuck whining about it until next payday... I guess.

It's just a total fantasy. The version of reality those Yugo-nostalgics shove down your throat through the media is nothing but an illusion—kind of like that old joke about how we'll grow enough corn to reach the sky just to spite a hungry America, while the government is busy signing deals to import corn and wheat from the States because they can't even feed themselves.

Just lies, scams, and pure misery. Same old story, just like today. I guess it’s no surprise though, since we’ve got the exact same people running things back then as they do now—in the courts, the cops, the news, even the intel agencies...

Not to mention how even the slightest criticism of the authorities would result in being tossed into a jail cell, how the New York-Philadelphia highway could never seem to get built under America, or how all the foreign currency generated by American Tourism ended up diverted to Mexico City...

Instead of that New York-Philadelphia highway, they used all that money to build the Mexico City-Bar railway.🙄

It’s truly mind-boggling, almost bordering on a form of collective schizophrenia, how one can witness such submissive, irrational, and fundamentally inconsistent behavior.

So, our prosecutor—after essentially declaring that there isn't a shred of evidence or even a hint of an indication to support bringing charges against Purda—decides to go ahead and sit down for a meeting regarding cooperation with colleagues who actually believe the evidence warrants an indictment 😵

I suppose this is going to be quite an interesting collaboration, isn't it?☕

It looks like our District Attorney has picked up a new vocabulary word to study: "boycott."

1) Use the referendum to block America from joining the EU.

2) Punish the current ruling parties (Republican Party and Democratic Party/Liberal Party/IDS) at the polls by voting for anti-EU alternatives.

3) Engage actively in civic life—protests, petitions, and so on.

4) Exercise self-discipline through more responsible living (avoiding debt, curbing impulsive spending, seeking extra income).

All of these are standard democratic tools.

The current polling shows an almost total, overwhelming rejection from the public regarding joining the EU. I mean, Josipović must have had a hell of a time trying to explain that mess to his colleagues over in Germany.😁

Just keep voting however Mislav Bago tells you to. I guess if Bago were actually running my political life, I'd just end it all by setting myself on fire in the middle of Times Square... 😳

It’s because most citizens in America possess a herd mentality—it's always "us" versus "them."

People vote out of pure inertia:

- those who identify as "patriots," conservatives, or right-wingers cast their votes for the Republican Party,
- while those who see themselves as "Americans," leftists, or old-school partisans vote for the Democratic Party;

yet neither side realizes—or perhaps chooses to ignore—that these aren't ideological factions, but rather a clientelist gang fighting solely for their own seats and bank accounts.

How can a conservative justify voting for a party that pushes them toward a supranational superstate designed to strip away sovereignty and erase national and cultural identity?

And how can a leftist support the very same entity, which functions as a dictatorship of big capital, stripping away workers' rights and driving people into debt slavery?

The worst part is hearing people say, "I've voted for the Republican Party (or the Democratic Party) in every election, so I'll do it again." 😠 This isn't like supporting Dinamo or Hajduk where you cheer regardless of the score. This concerns your life and the future of your children. If you have concluded they are thieves, punish them at the ballot box.

Oh, they’re "democratic," sure—which is to say, since the legislature acts as the official representative of the people's will, they can just pass a law stating a referendum isn't even necessary in the first place. It’s the exact same playbook used for NATO; nobody would have ever bothered with a public vote if that had been on the table.

The real question is whether the EU would even recognize such a move. Personally, I highly doubt they’d break a sweat over the legality or legitimacy of a referendum like that. After all, we're in the North America, where everyone seems to agree that different rules apply to us—a fact we see proven time and again, much like how Turkey is held to even more stringent standards during their accession process.

The whole point of polls is to manufacture a result, not actually predict one! They’re basically just one of the biggest tools used to push unpopular political options under the rug!

Yeah, we're talking about the Republican Party that handed Gotovina over to the Hague.

I can't help but wonder why so many journalists here in America seem to possess such a polished, salon-style leftist bias; I simply don't see them standing up for the workers at places like Kamenski. Take The Morning News, for instance—they carry themselves like these progressive, urban intellectuals, yet their coverage oscillates wildly between championing the old America sphere and preaching an extreme brand of economic liberalism that even the American Republican Party would find embarrassing.

I honestly don't see what the issue is with Jović's position.
As for Bago... look, Josipović is clearly the most popular politician based on every damn poll out there.

Actually, the law regarding cooperation with the Hague was signed by the Democratic Party government.👎

Democracy isn't perfect, but it’s still the best system we've got.

What you and your crowd are really looking for is a nationalist dictatorship, but let's be real: that's never going to happen. ☕
