Anyway, after that first irritation, I made a real effort NOT to troll you. Instead, I actually tried to wrap my head around your logic and maybe present some actual arguments to back up my views.

And I gotta admit, I was REALLY successful at holding myself back.

Because look; I laid out EVERY single one of my claims and stances regarding those charlatans with solid reasoning in my last post. Since it's a bit harder to prove my points off the top of my head (because let's face it, I'm definitely no trained music theorist—not that I think they even matter), I tried using a proper analogy to make my point easier for you to grasp.

Bottom line: in my opinion, even a lobotomized ox [kudos, Daniel Bailey7! 😉] would get exactly what I'm saying, but alas! Not you.

On the flip side, all your little gems basically boil down to "there's no point in arguing" if someone doesn't agree with you; or just a simple "Vangelis is my favorite" without providing even a tiny shred of an argument or an explanation as to why.

It honestly feels like most of the people bashing electronic music don't actually know the first thing about it, and frankly, their general musical literacy is pretty questionable too. I mean, not everyone, obviously, but it feels like the majority.
It’s kind of like those folks who think "noise" just means anything loud, or assume that if you say you like metal, you basically just mean Guns N' Roses. That’s roughly the level of musical depth we're dealing with here.
Plus, half the people trashing the genre haven't even heard of the massive bands that actually shaped it, so I have to wonder what they're even criticizing in the first place.

I remember being a kid and having Mike Oldfield playing on loop on those old MTV clips. Pretty sure he made half his fortune just from people using his tracks during those segments.
Then there was Vangelis playing in the background of some morning educational show hosted by Paar.
Yanni probably hit the big time once the national news editors finally noticed him a few years back.

If I were some insanely talented musician, and the Recording Academy actually gave me an award for being one of the most influential artists ever, I would honestly die of pure embarrassment if I heard my "masterpieces" being used as background noise to fill the GODDAMN SILENCE in an elevator.
