Hey,

I’m thinking about bumping my Prozac up from 50mg to 100mg. I guess I'm wondering how smart that move actually is, considering I'm already on Zyprexa.
My doctor basically just leaves everything up to me at this point. I'm 18, and my diagnosis falls under the F44 code—dissociative stuff.
I'm mostly struggling with depression, feeling pretty worthless, and having zero concentration..

😲

If that's really how things are handled, I would honestly ditch that doctor first, and then have a serious conversation about medication changes later.

I don't know, maybe it's just because the doses are lower. 🤷
To be honest, I actually handled both medications pretty well. My doctor keeps saying it all depends on me—how I'm feeling and how I'm functioning day-to-day—and that I can stop whenever I want.
I wouldn't change anything, though. He nailed the diagnosis and helped me out, even if he didn't exactly break a sweat doing it.

They’ve been handing out Seroquel like candy for the last year and a half. It’s an antipsychotic designed for schizophrenia, yet they’re prescribing it for insomnia and just about everything else under the sun. Why on earth is that happening? It’s because Big Pharma is aggressively pushing it through massive lobbying efforts, while most psychiatrists act as nothing more than their mouthpieces. In reality, Seroquel ranks among the ten most dangerous medications out there. Please, don't swallow this garbage!☕Psychopharmacology is entirely controlled by foreign interest groups, and Seroquel is a prime example. I know exactly what I am talking about, and I assure you, I am not just rambling without cause.☕It is truly tragic that they are even giving this to young people. Seroquel absolutely ravages the body.

What's the absolute worst-case scenario for me if this is actually true?

restlesstrucker15 said:Dear forum members, it has been quite some time since my last update. For the most part, I am doing alright; my Elice is performing its function, yet I find myself still struggling with persistent insomnia and a growing dependency on hypnotics. Has anyone here utilized Clonazepam for sleep issues, and if so, what dosage did you find effective? My doctor suggested introducing it because of my current reliance on Valium and Dormicum—since Cerson hasn't provided any relief—as a way to facilitate a break from standard hypnotics. She isn't a proponent of using antipsychotics to treat insomnia, and I've found that classic benzodiazepines, such as 20 mg of Valium, merely relax me without actually inducing sleep. I am hopeful that these tablets might offer some assistance, at least by allowing me to step away from the usual hypnotics for a while.😉

I was on Xanax for a short stint because I was spiraling with panic and couldn't get a wink of sleep... I don't usually touch any medication at all so I can't say how it affects everyone, but that Xanax was legit like some kind of MAGIC pill; I slept like a baby and woke up feeling completely recharged. 😁

Posts are getting harder to come by lately. I suppose people are either out enjoying the coast or things are just going smoothly for them, but if I had to guess, I can already see this thread heating up again right before the winter chill sets in.

I clearly always show up at the absolute worst times.🤷 Maybe I'm just looking for too much.

Why not just walk away from that charlatan and find a real specialist? I wasted seven years doing exactly that...🙂🙂

I suppose I should have seen this coming. It’s one of those things that just... hangs there, isn't it? You think you've got a handle on the situation, you think you've accounted for all the variables, and then—poof. Everything shifts. It’s a bit like watching a slow-motion car crash on the I-95; you know it's happening, you can see the impact coming, but there's this strange, detached feeling of being unable to intervene. Just observing the chaos. Anyway, where was I? Right. This whole mess. It's quite something, really. kaže:
Why stick around with that total fraud? Honestly, you really ought to cut ties and go find an actual expert. Believe me, I learned that the hard way... I wasted seven years of my life chasing after someone like that. Total waste.🙂🙂

Well, it really all comes down to that specific dynamic between the patient and the doctor. It’s personal. My own physician... she’s always been quite particular about what she prescribes. She’s never been one to reach for the heavy hitters—you know, things like Lorazepam, Seroquel, Oxazepam, and that whole crowd. She’s always told me, though, that she grants me a certain level of leniency in my treatment plan. I’ve been seeing her for nearly three years now. Because she knows my history—specifically how I’ve struggled with medication misuse in the past—she would never even consider giving me something like Ambien. Not a chance. Instead, she keeps me on Prazosin, just twice a day usually, maybe bumping it up to three times during the spring and fall. Apparently, those seasonal shifts are the toughest times for us folks dealing with mental health issues. And she was very blunt with me: stay on the meds for the long haul. She said she’d much rather see me staying stable than having to deal with me during an acute crisis when I'm desperate enough to start looking for prescription painkillers.

I’ve recently started taking Seroquel, though I hadn't realized just how incredibly widespread its use actually is☕

Where do I even start? I have zero experience with this, honestly. I’m doing okay financially, but everything still depends on my parents since I'm still in college...
The thing is, I'm terrified of leaving him. He's actually talented at psychotherapy, he has these great insights, and he nailed my diagnosis right out of the gate.
Plus, I've already settled into a routine with him. It's not like I'm codependent or anything—if a change is absolutely necessary, I can deal with it.

Does anyone know a decent therapist who's actually taking new patients?

Has anyone here ever tried or currently using this specific medication? It’s part of that particular class of antidepressants that also works as an anti-anxiety and pain reliever. I know it’s used in anesthesia settings too, sometimes even before surgery. I’ve heard from people that a lot of folks use it just to chill out or help with sleep, usually taking it at night. I’m planning to bring it up with my psychiatrist during my next check-up to see what they think. Right now, I’m on FedEx, which is alright for the most part, but my anxiety seems to have spiked lately. Plus, my sleep is a mess—it takes forever to actually drift off, and honestly, it’s driving me a little crazy😠I'm really looking forward to my appointment so I can finally dive into some of the stuff that's been weighing on me☕

Wait, are you sure it isn't mania kicking in instead of anxiety...? That actually happens quite a bit with FedEx since it's such a heavy-duty antidepressant.

Robin Gonzalez3 said:So, what exactly are you taking all this for? Look, don't go killing yourself over whether it's "harmful" or not—honestly, everything can be harmful if you aren't careful with the dosage. These pills could be just as risky as alcohol, weed, or cigarettes if you start overdoing it, you know? But your psychiatrist wouldn't have prescribed this regimen if they thought it was going to wreck you. I'm pretty sure their whole goal is just to help you out—they aren't exactly looking to hand out meds that'll make things worse for you.

What doctor? I haven't even seen a psychiatrist... two months ago, I had major spinal surgery, and every single night at the hospital, they were pumping me full of Tramadol—which totally knocks you out—along with all this other junk... because it was the only way I could actually get some sleep, even if it was just for a few hours. Everything hurt. It’s brutal when you literally can't move an inch from your bed. Ugh. Now I'm back home, and yeah, I'm still taking them. It's hard—I'm trying to push through everything, but it's so frustrating not being able to bend over and knowing I've got metal rods in my back. If something drops on the floor, I'm just stuck there, haha.
But I'm planning on getting off the pills this summer and finding some peace on my own. 🙂

I’m looking for some help or advice here. Currently, I’m on a regimen of Effexor, Faverin, and Zyprexa, and even after getting ten full hours of sleep, I wake up feeling completely exhausted and lethargic. It’s becoming a real issue because my final exams are right around the corner, and I desperately need to be alert and focused to study. I did a little digging online and saw mentions of guarana supplements, but apparently, they aren't recommended while undergoing treatment for depression. Does anyone know of any "natural" remedies or home remedies that might help me deal with this constant fatigue?

I suppose I should mention that I was also incredibly lethargic during those initial months on Zyprexa, though I guess I have finally begun to adjust somewhat to the effects...

You should talk to your doctor about adjusting your medication...

Honestly, anything is possible. I've been on it for a while now and it usually works well for me, but there are those days where I forget a dose and—boom—it hits me like I'm on speed. My pupils get huge, my body feels like it's overheating, just pure euphoria... then when it wears off, I'm absolutely wiped out. I used to be able to crash right after that, but only if I had some Ambien to help.☕Like last night and earlier this morning, I could barely sleep, and when I did, the dreams were just totally wild.🙄
