Thyroid issues in Health ·
hollowhawk15 said:come on, tell me... are you feeling better now? what actually helped you the most?

It’s all gone. Every bit of it. I haven't touched any Xanax since, nor have I been sick at all. Honestly, the only thing that really did the trick was the one thing I could actually control: getting that tumor removed.

So, I ended up having a nodule too, even though my hormone levels were totally normal. They finally decided to take it out after about ten years of just watching it... it grew from maybe half a centimeter to roughly 2.5. And honestly, even with fine bloodwork, my immune system was shot. I dealt with constant anxiety, those terrifying choking sensations, panic attacks, heart palpitations, you name it...
The nodule itself was benign. I was super diligent about it, though—getting my annual checkups, ultrasounds, biopsies, even a scintigraphy once in a while...
BTW, they only ended up removing about a third of one lobe. I'm not on any medication at all right now.

I've got one single Voltaren tablet sitting here at home. And that's it. Nothing else left.
Am I overweight? in Health ·
ivo111 said:Hey there... just wondering if I'm actually overweight😕?! So, I'm about 5'5" and weigh around 128 pounds. My stomach is totally flat, but my legs feel heavy and my hips are pretty wide. Can someone tell me what a healthy weight for my height should be? Honestly, I’d love to drop about 22 pounds... is that too much to ask? And how do I even start losing it? Thanks so much!

hehe... you'd probably be thrilled if you managed to lose even 4 pounds, let alone 22... you can dream though...😎

They’ve got some pretty heavy fines if they decide to break the law...

They pull enough of a paycheck to actually have some self-respect... so they aren't just looking for a bribe...

The only way out... and I’m talking about every single broken piece of this pathetic, bribe-driven society we call home...
Look, these places have always been small-time... everyone knows exactly what they're getting into from the jump, so that whole argument just doesn't hold water for me...

niksicka. she’s listened to my voice memos since I was in elementary school... then she went through surgery for polyps, followed by thyroid issues. now I’ve got my energy back, but let’s be real, I’m never going to sound like a nightingale again 😢

But then again, it's pretty pathetic that people have to start entire threads just to deal with being treated like garbage. That kind of behavior should be the baseline, not the exception.

But hey, whatever... people can be total jerks sometimes. It's just human nature I guess... 😢

So, I went under the knife at a local clinic for my vocal cords and thyroid, and honestly, the medical staff were all wonderful 🙂
but man, the crew over at the ENT department... yikes. Let's just say their hygiene wasn't exactly "top tier"... definitely not the kind of vibe you want when you're wearing something a little more revealing 😬

Just find a picture you love and make sure you find a skilled artist who can actually replicate it. I’ve had this beautiful large tattoo on my shoulder blade for a few years now, and honestly... the more I look at it, the more I love it. Now I'm already gearing up for the next one. Tattoos are just brilliant 😍

what's even the point!

I live for oranges in the morning. I'll have one with my oatmeal and then squeeze another two or three for juice...

Yeah, I'm definitely curious too. That kind of music honestly gets my blood pumping...

Johnny Walker said:I don't hate anyone, but I have nothing but contempt for those who spread hatred—especially those who personally caused harm to me and my people. I don't forgive, and I certainly don't forget. Hatred is just a narrow, limited state of mind. It’s not even useful in war; all the great strategists knew you shouldn't let any kind of emotion get in the way when dealing with an enemy.

pure nonsense. love and hate are what drive the world. people without L or H are basically just amoebas...
🥱
☕

man, I don't hate entire groups, just specific individuals. honestly, I'm in such a peaceful phase right now that some people just... rub me the wrong way, but it's not like I truly harbor deep-seated hatred for them. maybe I'm still just in hibernation mode...😎

Oh please, stop being such a buzzkill.
If a woman wants to pick up some cream and wipes, let her. If things don't clear up by tomorrow, she should just go see a doctor... though they'll probably be fine by then anyway. The cream is only about $5.00 and the wipes are around 20 bucks. You can just grab them over the counter at CVS.

Ultravox, Alphaville, Classix Neouveau, Talking Heads... basically my entire personality😍
Everyone knows this guy—he loves to eat and drink like there’s no tomorrow. People have been breathing down his neck for years, telling him he needs to get his act together, but he just wouldn't listen. Now, after a year of struggling to even walk because his heart is giving out, he’s being rushed into emergency bypass surgery. Suddenly, after all that neglect, he’s actually worried about his diet. What can you even say at this point? Where is the sense of responsibility toward oneself, toward one's kids, or toward the community?

redcrane5 said:Must be nice... honestly, since I’ve been pretty much sidelined lately—out of training for almost six months now due to a traffic accident 😢—I’d probably starve to death on that little bit of food. When I'm actually training, I'm hitting 🙂 and up to 4500 calories a day (roughly 350g protein, 550g carbs, 100g fat). As for junk food, I've cut it down to basically nothing because I bloat way too easily. The only exception is Sunday lunch... I just eat whatever is sitting there, and honestly, thank 😬 for however much there is.

Lucky me, I don't really deal with cravings. When I need a carb fix, I just grab some bread.
I'm not even a big fan of bread myself, but my point was that people should be maximizing their home-cooked meals. But people hate doing that. They'd rather just grab something quick. Like they say, less than 45 😬
And I think I asked this somewhere already... why bother with a shake when you could just have a serving of cottage cheese with some diced ham and maybe some whole grain toast?

To hell with all this talk about the "three healthiest meals of the day." Like, okay, breakfast is an orange and some oatmeal, and then dinner is cottage cheese, eggs, lean meat, salads... whatever.
Snacks are just fruit or yogurt, and lunch? If you let some greasy fast food ruin your routine and discipline, well, then you've already lost. Why are we even overthinking this...
I'm a woman, I hit the gym four or five times a week, and this is how I eat—it works perfectly fine. Honestly, I stick to just three meals because once I've had breakfast, I don't even feel like eating again until lunch.

I usually get about 8 hours of sleep
I eat three times a day, though dinner typically rolls around at 10 PM
Breakfast is just oatmeal and some fruit
Staying hydrated with plenty of water
Hitting the gym five times a week
I don't smoke a Marlboro
I get incredibly stressed out, though...

and overall, I'm pretty happy
