And since those panties are basically see-through, maybe they should've gone with: Lost in Translation?!😁 Man, I feel like I'm discovering more about Sofia every single day!😉
And honestly, who even knows what her actual priorities were? Not everyone gives a damn about chasing Oscars and all that other nonsense... Anyway, Nastassja is seriously incredible!👍
diadora said:Sometimes I get the feeling—even without actually sitting through the movie—that she only snagged that Oscar because of that whole "beauty to beast" transformation thing.
It’s on everyone's tip of the tongue, honestly... but if we're playing by the rules of actual film culture, you're supposed to actually watch the damn thing before you start disqualifying people. 🙂
Maria Kelly6, look, tap water is heavy stuff. No wonder you feel like your stomach is a balloon... You’d be way better off just grabbing bottled water; it’s much lighter on the system and actually healthy! Try sipping it slowly instead of chugging it all at once. Just carry a bottle with you and take small sips throughout the day. And, I guess I don't even need to tell you that this all applies to still water. Sparkling is fine every once in a while, but it’s loaded with sodium, so you know how that goes.................. 🙂
Man, you guys have some seriously conflicting takes here!🙂
Honestly? It feels like the entire movie-going public needs a massive system reset. We’ve clearly entered this era where movies don't bother tapping into our actual emotions anymore, so we’re all just... kind of lost, right?!😉
I mean, what is with all these gritty directors popping up lately? It used to be you could just grab a huge bucket of popcorn, turn your brain off, and everything was handed to you on a silver platter—the vibes, the plot, the twists, the lessons, the anti-lessons... a finished product. But now? You watch a movie and you're left wondering why it was even made in the first place?!🙄
Don't get me wrong, I was a little "meh" by the end too, like... okay, now what? But instead of questioning my own perspective—wondering if I've basically poisoned my own brain by binge-watching way too much trash—I’d rather weigh the subtlety and the intelligent approach of Sofia Coppola..
And I definitely wouldn't be weighing the so-called "humor" of certain scenes that "brainwashed" viewers immediately try to laugh at (like the exercise bike bit or that remark about the Porsche...); honestly, that was the weirdest part of all your comments.
It wasn't exactly a riot for me either, but you really need a bit of culture and practice to fully absorb something like this properly.
I’m not going to limit myself like that, building up these walls and becoming closed off just to experience something new every single day.
Let's give the movie a chance, but let's give ourselves one too!😉
So, I used to grab my lenses (soft ones, obviously) from those super hyped-up boutiques like Smith, but let's be real—those places are just salespeople. It’s totally different from getting them through actual medical clinics... if you know what I mean. Every single time, they’d hand me something different, and I actually ended up recommending them more than once... Once my allergies started acting up, I headed over to the Mayo Clinic eye center near Central Park. They're actual pros, not just retail workers😉 , and their doctor actually managed to clear up my allergy issues too. I've been getting my lenses there for a while now; my soft ones run about $40 and I swap them out every three months. Look, I can't speak for the semi-rigid ones, but I'd definitely suggest finding a specialist to buy them from—doesn't have to be some big flashy place, just someone who actually knows their stuff.
Frank Lee6 said:BTW, water doesn't actually make you fat or thin (even though it's technically part of both fat and muscle tissue), but without water, your metabolism just stalls. So obviously, drinking more water kicks things up a gear... which helps with losing weight.
True enough, but if you try explaining it to people that way—slowly, logically, step-by-step—they’re gonna lose interest in the water immediately!😉
If you instead go the "wellness guru" route and keep it dead simple—like, WATER MELTS FAT AWAY, everyone will lose their minds for H2O!
Ever wonder why there's such a massive craze for these quick-fix diets, even though we all know how stupid and sketchy they really are!?
People are just looking for something flashy and a good sales pitch. THAT is what sells everything... even health.😉
Frank Lee6 said:Yogurt is healthy, especially for keeping things moving downstairs, but you can't go overboard since it's packed with carbs.
Plus, those fruit yogurts everyone loves? Total carb bombs. Avoid them if you actually care...
There are some great light versions out there too—super tasty and only about 45 calories per 100ml (so a whole 200ml cup is just 90 cal). Grab one of those in the morning with some fruit and maybe a light coffee or cappuccino. And water. Tons of it. Seriously.
Anyway, at least from what I’ve noticed personally, my metabolism only stays on track if I’m eating actual, decent food... like a real lunch, freshly cooked. Savory is way better for the body than sweet stuff. And I don't mean "savory" like the salt in the Atlantic Ocean... I've never once noticed anything sweet speeding up my metabolism.
I could try this whole crazy idea of living on basically nothing—just yogurt, cereal, and other single-note processed junk—but then everything just slows down... digestion, metabolism... everything...
If you want to lose weight the right way, you have to—EAT!
WHEN YOU REALIZE YOU'REN'T EATING ANYTHING BUT THE SCALE WON'T BUDGE—START EATING AGAIN, BUT DO IT SMART. Eat smaller portions to kickstart that metabolism, because clearly, picking the wrong foods has put it into slow motion.
Crash diets might work for a second, but only to shock your system initially. Once your body figures out what's happening and starts fighting back, you're looking at stagnation & weight gain.
Oh, and one more thing—it’s unbelievable how hard it is for some people to start drinking enough water. Trust me, it's a struggle for the first two days, but after that, it's a total breeze.🙂
If you’ve got even a tiny bit of sensitivity left in you, one viewing is all you need. Sometimes a movie just needs to be *felt*, you know? Forget the convoluted plots, the heavy psychological deep dives, or the overacting... just let it happen. Just give yourself permission to enjoy something that's actually beautiful in its simplicity for once. And you can really see how even a boring, "gray" existence—led by some totally unremarkable protagonist—can be absolutely bursting with excitement and raw emotion in just a single day, or even a single moment. It's just full of color. A great film projects our own lives back at us more than those made-up characters ever could.😉
Even though everyone’s obsessed with Jogobellin, I’m strictly Team Nestlé when it comes to their light yogurts. The peach and strawberry ones actually have real fruit in them, which is huge. They’re super light too—only about 45 calories per serving—and just taste right without all those weird artificial flavor enhancers... Plus, the 7oz size is pretty much perfect for a single serving. Usually, it's the most basic stuff that ends up being the healthiest. My kids live on those drinkable yogurts from brands like Chobani, and while they taste fine, I’ll stick to my Nestlé light version any day.
So I binged the whole movie yesterday and honestly? I’m totally lost. It feels like they just flipped a switch on Billy Bob Thornton’s character halfway through... I swear he had a completely different vibe at the start. Like, what even was that??!?!!!??😕 The atmosphere is decent enough, I guess, but everything else is just... off. Why on earth did Halle Berry get an Oscar for this? Was there even a point to making this movie in the first place?! I didn't really feel anything...👎 Look, I can see why people say it's okay, but I hate that feeling when you finish a movie and it leaves you with absolutely nothing... not even a bad taste, just... nothing.
Man, some of the folks on this Forum might try to tear you apart for that last comment, mostly because they’re totally obsessed with attacking anyone who stays "positively focused" on themselves. Not that they'll call it being conceited—that's just how they'll spin it...
