I finally sat down to watch them last night—the original version, of course—and I’m honestly floored 👍
There are moments where it feels less like an animation and more like a high-budget feature film, and the characters? Just top-tier. It’s this incredibly balanced cocktail of adventure, action, drama, and heartfelt family dynamics. 😎

A few highlights that stuck with me:

- Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible—specifically that sequence where he starts working out to lose the gut and gets all dressed up again (those cufflinks were a total vibe)

- That little kid on the tricycle

- Jack-Jack 😂

Does anyone happen to know if they're planning a sequel? 🙏

I actually enjoyed the movie—it didn't blow my mind quite like the first one did, but it was definitely solid enough. 👍
I suspect Steven Soderbergh was aiming for something more cerebral here, which ultimately meant you had to engage your brain a bit more than you did with the original... a fact that clearly rubbed some people the wrong way. 😁
Anyway, it’s the kind of flick worth a second viewing. 🙂

Just one more subjective FEMALE take for the road:
The cast is top-tier; George Clooney is 😍 and Vincent Cassel is annoyingly handsome—🙂 even Brad Pitt looks great with that short hair.
Julia Roberts looks terrible, 😲 almost sickly thin, whereas Catherine Zeta-Jones is an absolute knockout.

It’s most likely an allergy—I deal with allergic rhinitis myself, so I know those symptoms all too well. 🙄
Definitely go see a doctor, but in the meantime, just grab some saline solution or a sea water spray from the drugstore—it should only run you about five or ten bucks. Using that as a rinse or a spray can really help 👍

I’ve been dealing with chronic rhinitis for quite some time now—it's one of those persistent nuisances that occasionally decides to migrate and mess with my sinuses too. 🙄

In the meantime, I ended up coming down with a bout of sinusitis and had to finish a round of antibiotics—but things are finally starting to look up.

On another note, I’ve noticed that Fexofenadine seems to work better for me than Claritin does. Though, honestly, I am just completely over taking all these sprays and pills every single day. It’s gross. 🙄

Steam inhalations help too, but the thought of having to deal with that every day for ten days straight... I just can't be bothered.

Catherine Zeta-Jones stands about 5'8", which means if she throws on some standard 3-inch heels, she’s easily eye-to-eye with Clooney.

You see 5'11'' or 5'10'' floating around all over the internet—basically somewhere between 5'10" and 5'11"—depending on who you ask.
If you ask me—and I say this purely from a woman's perspective—I’d bet he’s definitely hitting that height mark. He’s got those long legs and a lean torso, which is a world away from guys who seem a bit more compact—you know, the Tom Cruise types where the torso just sort of dominates the frame.

From what I can gather, they were just in Japan for his work for a few weeks. As for how she managed to meet those Japanese locals... who knows. They might have made these trips more than once.
Either way, you've got a point; a lot of this remains pretty vague.

P.S. Do you guys also suspect her husband cheated on her with that "Cameron" guy before the movie even started—and potentially during that weekend she stayed at the hotel?

I’ve been wondering how everyone else processed the fact that a young Scarlett Johansson spends basically half the movie just wandering around in her underwear. What was the director actually going for there? I suppose she probably wanted to convey some sense of nonchalance—that total state of indifference—but honestly, it just reminded me of those old adult films where the women spend the whole time pacing through the apartment naked or at least without a bra 🙄

On the flip side, little Scarlett is just adorable. I actually appreciate that she seems like a normal person; she isn't one of those anorexic, overly manicured actresses who looks like they haven't eaten since the nineties. She looks real—just an average girl you might see walking down a street in Chicago or anywhere else

Honestly, right from that first scene with her in the hotel lobby, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was some kind of Charlie's angel. It’s everything—from her cadence and body language to those ridiculous things she blathers about at the press conference.
When she mentioned maintaining such a slim figure despite basically living off junk food, I was totally convinced. I remember stumbling upon an interview once where Diaz mentioned having the exact same eating habits.

Yeah, the moment she walked on screen, my mind went straight to Cameron. Everything about her—the gestures, the facial expressions—it was all there.

That said, I thought the movie was wonderful. What really stuck with me was the atmosphere; the characters aren't just Lost in Translation, they seem lost in life itself.

The depiction of Japan feels almost surreal—all that cold steel and glass, the occasional lonely tree poking through the urban sprawl, and then you step outside the city limits and find yourself in this stunningly beautiful park. It's quite striking, and honestly, pretty metaphorical if you ask me.

I loved how it balanced the hilarity with the heartbreak—like that bit where Bill Murray is working out on that machine, or the director losing his mind at him, the talk show appearance (good grief, where do they find these people?), the commercial shoot, the karaoke... yet, on the flip side, there are moments where you can't help but feel their sheer isolation and pain.

All in all, it’s great. The takeaway seems to be that while life is undeniably tough, there are still these beautiful, fleeting moments. Definitely worth a watch.

I’ve been using Flonase lately. I actually switched over to Tarceva because my ENT insisted there was a real risk of developing nasal polyps—which, honestly, sounds like a total nightmare 😲—and apparently, this helps prevent them.
As far as pills go, I’m on Fexofenadine (and let me tell you, those things are massive compared to the tiny little Claritin tablets we're used to).
