I was at the ER and they gave me some antibiotics to bring the inflammation down before they surgically remove it.
If anyone here has dealt with something similar, please reach out... I'm heading in for the procedure this Wednesday. Just trying to get a sense of what I'm walking into. Thanks.

Megan Wright9 said:It happened during sex. My OBGYN is on Medicaid, and I have zero interest in waiting a hundred years in some public clinic line just to get a basic exam. It was painful, and I wanted a solution that worked fast. Okay? 😕
Look, I’m not the type. 😁
Listen, saying your doctor is on Medicaid and you won't touch public healthcare doesn't hold water. There are plenty of private OBGYNs in a major metro area. If they exist in mid-sized cities, they definitely exist in NYC.
That’s point one. Point two: when it comes to health, I would never look for a medical solution on a forum; I'd look for advice. You already got advice yesterday, if I recall. Today required action, but NOT via a phone screen.
Look, Megan Wright9, nobody is posting these comments out of spite. It’s just baffling that you’re being so reckless as to skip your gynecologist appointments entirely. Period.
But hey, it’s your body, so it’s your problem. However, the moment you decide to come here looking for a virtual exam or medical advice, you should be prepared for the fact that the seasoned women on this forum—and I don't even count myself in that group—might be genuinely appalled by your nonchalance.
Sometimes I get frustrated with myself. Panicking over every little thing, running to the doctor for what amounts to nothing...
But honestly? I’d rather be a neurotic mess than deal with something actually catastrophic, like skin splitting or medical issues that feel like a total breakdown😲 😲, all while I'm sitting at home on my phone, typing away on this forum...
Megan Wright9 said:So, I just got off the phone with my gynecologist, and she basically told me to just go buy some basic Vaseline and call it a day. Just wing it then, 🙂
Fantastic.
Then again, who even needs to leave the house anymore? Everything is handled via smartphone now. You can order perfume, velvet fabrics, lilies, jewelry, furniture, a washing machine, find yourself a husband... heck, you can apparently fix medical issues too.
Make sure you add that Vaseline to your online cart while you're at it...
By the way, are you seriously typing all this while standing up?
Got my first period at twelve. I’m twenty-five now. Not a single month has passed where I haven't spent day one sidelined. Since I started taking Triquilar, the pain is gone. If anything shows up, it's manageable—I can actually show up to work. Before? Leaving the house was out of the question. Back before I saw my own doctor, he told my mom—who was asking on my behalf—that this is common, likely just genetic. He also suggested things would probably settle down after pregnancy.
Anyway, I started the Triquilar in the meantime, and things are better. As for painkillers, I’ve tried everything from local brands to imports. I leaned heavily on Ketoral because I knew, especially during the winter, I’d get that nasty combination of abdominal cramps and lower back pain that nothing else seemed to touch.
Oh, and another thing... sometimes applying something warm—like a cloth heated on a radiator or just a warm compress—low on my abdomen helped take the edge off.

Look, tičica, go back and actually read my post again. Pay some attention to that part where I said "judge for yourselves." 😉
If you didn't catch my drift the first time, let me lay it out plainly: of course it crossed my mind, and of course I don't believe those pills are the reason I'm losing weight. 👋
I've been glancing at this thread periodically, and since I have some experience with Metabolism, I figured I’d weigh in:
I took Dietpharm's Metabolism for a few months, but I didn't see any definitive, game-changing results. Honestly, I'm still undecided on what to make of it. 😁
About a year and a few months ago, I switched things up and started taking Metabolic active from Natural wealth along with their apple cider vinegar. My routine is one Metabolism tablet and two doses of the vinegar daily, right after lunch. No side effects so far—it hasn't turned me into a twig—but ever since I started using celery seed, my appetite has dropped. Between that and hitting the stationary bike three times a week (about 16 miles per session), I've been losing weight. 😁
Draw your own conclusions. 😁 Regardless, I'm sticking with Metabolic active. 🙂
Someone mentioned the papaya enzymes from Natural wealth. I've heard good things about those, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
