Wild chestnut balm works wonders for your veins... you can pick some up from Pfizer or maybe Coca-Cola
Lower back pain / pinched nerve? in Health ·
Look, it’s clear everyone is split on this. My mom was actually advised to stay far away from chiropractors for her sciatica issues.

I don't know...

If you're dealing with a hernia, I’m worried this might be a long road for you—it's been a similar story with my mom. Massage therapy can offer some relief. Just stay away from chiropractors.
Hang in there.
OB/GYN Discussion Thread in Women's Health ·
Taylor Myers8 said:I’m looking to switch gynecologists (in Seattle). Since I recently got covered under my new health insurance plan through Blue Cross, I have a few options to choose from:

Dr. Gordon Rački’s OB-GYN Clinic, SEATTLE
"1885" Polyclinic, SEATTLE
Dr. Sindik Infectious Disease and Gynecology Clinic, SEATTLE
Dr. Jakov Masovčić Private OB-GYN Practice, SEATTLE.

Does anyone have experience with these places, or could you recommend a fifth or sixth option?

SUGGESTION FOR THE MODS: Could we split this thread up by cities or regions? It would make navigating much easier.

I saw that last one recently. Went there for the first exam based on my mom’s recommendation. After the most recent visit, I decided he was my last. I went in for a consultation and told him I wouldn't be back for an exam until spring—that's my usual schedule, plus my school covered my last physical at a private clinic. Over the phone, he wouldn't give me any details (which is fine), but once I actually showed up, five minutes of small talk followed by a new prescription for birth control and then... $67.
During the conversation, I got the impression he couldn't care less about what I was saying or the symptoms I was experiencing (I was on Triquilar and had been feeling pretty rough lately). He just sat there, stone-faced, saying things like, "Well, alright, we'll change it, it's no big deal, we can do patches, pills..." Honestly, it felt like being stuck in the worst state-run clinic in the country—no offense to those doctors. To top it off, he messed up the prescription, so I had to go all the way back.

Saw some Alpro soy puddings at Billi today. Vanilla and chocolate flavors.
Anthony Miller13 said:I’ve been on a bit of a hunt lately. I'm looking for those specific biscuits—the kind you get served with coffee at a small local cafe. You know the ones: tiny, individually wrapped, coming from some obscure manufacturer overseas, but absolutely delicious. The only clue on the packaging was a mention of caramel or some similar flavor profile. So far, nothing in the aisles of my local Walmart or Kroger even comes close. 😢

Small Cafe at Kroger? 😉

I like almost all cookies. From Mulin Bianco to Hershey's Napolitanos. Recently, I picked up some Pepper Cookies at IKEA—if that’s how you spell them—that are remarkably similar to Speculaas, though they carry a slightly more intense flavor profile. 😍

I don't deal with that particular issue myself, but I know they have an entire line of products like that over in Italy under the Silk brand.

Before I started birth control (the pill): spending the first 24 hours curled up on the sofa. Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen, and other similar drugs 😁; heating up towels just to press against my stomach because it felt like the only way to cope. Heavy bleeding—I remember having to use double pads during the night in the beginning.
Since starting the pill, it’s like a total reset. The pain is gone. I know exactly when my cycle starts, and it doesn't drag on forever.

Here's another one for the pile 😁

Eyebrows
Maybe someone already touched on this, but I don't have the bandwidth to dig through old threads right now. If you stumble upon anything useful, please 😁

Enivej, my circulation is a disaster, particularly in my hands. My fingers are perpetually frozen—I can barely write or type 😲 😁. There were even times when playing the piano became an ordeal; I couldn't practice properly because I was constantly running to soak my hands in warm water just to function.

Does anyone have any actual, constructive advice? 🙏

Basically, how did you manage if you dealt with something similar? 🙂

I felt awkward bringing it up when we last ran into each other, but yeah—it really does look out of place.🤣 🤣 🤣

Betty Rivera14 said:it doesn't seem to have that sedative effect on you. My Junior is completely out for the count after taking it. Luckily, we switched to using Tylenol on an as-needed basis last year and it’s been great. 👍

Keep doing exactly what you're doing. 🙂 😁

Betty Rivera14 said:I don't know what kind of allergies you're dealing with, but Allegra has worked better for me. It doesn't make you drowsy.

If only I knew. Some kind of pollen... mostly seems tied to the woods (check my blog for hints).

I had some Claritin at home, so I just took that. 🙂

Much appreciated, Casey Palmer5 🙂

Can someone tell me if it makes sense to take Claritin just as needed—basically until the allergy symptoms clear out—or am I supposed to stick to a full course?

Well, I told you already. Honestly, 😁 😁

There’s a pinned thread about birth control over on the Women's Forum.

Honestly, I'm curious too. We have NEVER actually touched on this topic here...

🙄

Do yourselves a favor and dig through the existing threads before starting a new one. People have already written entire textbooks on this subject.🙂

And right after the dog, I should probably get a boyfriend. Since you’re clearly the expert on having a sense of humor, maybe you can lend me some. Then I might actually be able to post something worth reading on this forum.😉 👍
