Heroin addiction treatment in Health ·
silverridge43 said:He’s 30 years old—comes from a decent, well-to-do family, according to what I'm told—and he claims he isn't hooked, despite smoking joints seven or eight times a day... though he does hit the heroin once every week or two if he feels like it. The real issue is that things are pretty strained with some of his family members right now, and I'm worried that if I snitch, he might just distance himself even more or freeze me out entirely. I actually tried suggesting he ditch that crowd, but honestly, the guy just labels you as crazy. He insists he can quit whenever he wants, but I'm genuinely scared because—as he puts it—he's barely worked at all this past year. He's spiraling, just sinking deeper and deeper.

Hold on just a second!!!!!!! Since when do we take an addict's word as gospel?! This guy would lie to your face about anything.

Just tell his parents immediately. Don't bother with threats—what kind of leverage do you actually have? It's not like he's some high schooler who's going to be intimidated by a little tough talk.
I feel like we’ve all dealt with this kind of person at some point—it’s just part of life, I guess—but honestly, I think the best move is to just ignore them entirely. At the end of the day, they aren't looking for a conversation; they're just hungry for a fight or some kind of drama...

man, that's just because of the weather
Tattoo removal: What are your experiences? in Health ·
Susan Nguyen85 said:Of course they aren't taking it off. That’s the whole point—you have to decide if you're just getting some random damn butterfly or something that actually represents who you are...

Look, I actually have something that defines me—it's not some stupid butterfly, dolphin, or rose, for that matter—but honestly, I've grown bored of it. It isn't some life-defining thing that I feel forced to strip away just because I'm over it.

fadedhound69 said:It’s not an issue for me—my skin is totally fine. I only phrased it that way so someone could actually decide which route to take for getting a tattoo removed. Sure, the laser is definitely going to cost more, but honestly, the results are flawless. And, of course, this is for all those people in the threads above claiming it's impossible to get a tattoo removed at all. 🙂

Thanks so much, but seriously, tell me how much it cost and where you went? Because I keep hearing about places doing this in beauty salons with lasers???????????????? That sounds incredibly sketchy to me!
Angela Wright said:It’s pretty pricey. Honestly, you’re better off just browsing through some private cosmetic surgeon websites. I’m guessing you’d probably need two or three different procedures to actually get a result you’re happy with. I’ve heard there are laser removal methods out there that supposedly give the best results.
So, what made you over it? What did you get done?

I'm just totally over them—or, to be more precise, I'm over the whole vibe. I have several, and they aren't in places where everyone sees them, but it just doesn't feel special anymore when it seems like practically everyone in the States has tattoos these days...

So, roughly how much are we talking about here?
I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this—like, what kind of price tag are we actually looking at...
Weather and your health: any connection? in Health ·
My head is absolutely spinning right now—it feels terrible, honestly, just like I’m completely wasted. Every time I try to lie down, the whole room starts whirling around me
Is everything in life just a matter of choice? in Psychology ·
silverfox6 said:Exactly! You just sit there, vividly imagine having a million dollars sitting in your bank account, and suddenly—poof!—happiness and prosperity arrive in a big brown paper bag! 👋

Exactly that... man, those guys were clearly busy daydreaming about hitting the Powerball jackpot all weekend—and wouldn't you know it? Four of them actually pulled it off.🤣
Book vs. Movie: Which is better? in Movies ·
The book was a total blast, and honestly? The movie was just as good...
I totally get where you're coming from—having everything handed to you on a silver platter doesn't guarantee happiness. I mean, seriously... you could have all the cash in the world, a mansion in the Hamptons, a garage full of Ferraris—none of it matters if you're feeling empty inside. The real question is how do we actually reach that blissful state where we feel fulfilled and content? Because honestly, having massive wealth or whatever we call "making it" doesn't have anything to do with that feeling.

At the end of the day, anyone can find something to complain about—it’s almost too easy to sit around moping about what’s missing, even when you clearly have way more than most people out there. Material stuff just isn't the key to happiness. Just look at the big superstars—take Justin Timberlake, for example; he’s had it all, yet he’s struggled so much with his mental health. It just goes to show, right?
Bloodshot eyes: What's causing them? in Health ·
Between the blood pressure spikes, the nausea, and actually giving birth... my personal take on pregnancy!
Is everything in life just a matter of choice? in Psychology ·
I honestly think it works that way—if you actually take the time to visualize what you're aiming for, you end up pulling yourself closer to it. Not that I’m talking about some crazy, delusional stuff, though...
Feeling weak and nauseous... in Health ·
A friend of mine mentioned her dad had cancer, yet his blood work came back absolutely flawless—it really makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Dealing with dizziness? in Health ·
So, I actually went in for some blood work about a month ago, and honestly? Everything came back looking totally fine!
Dealing with dizziness? in Health ·
It’s the same thing with me—this constant spinning sensation. A few times now, I’ve honestly felt like I was about to just black out entirely. One of my friends was actually venting to me about her own dizzy spells recently too, so maybe it's just something that happens as we get closer to the deadline!

Day trips near St. Louis? in Hiking & Mountaineering ·
Honestly, just head out to Jacksonville—it’s about an hour's drive from St. Louis—and you'll be fine. You can go hiking or just take a long walk through the woods, and they've got decent hotels and restaurants right there...
Flu symptoms in Health ·
On the other hand, I’ve always felt like if you just sit there idling while you're fighting off the flu, it actually does more harm than good—like your immune system just loses all its momentum and gets even weaker...
