Look, girl, buckle up because whatever heat you’re feeling right now is nothing compared to what’s coming for you.🤣 But honestly, whatever. I always say the same thing: "Okay, no more spicy pizza, this is the absolute last time..." and then I do it anyway. One time I ordered an extra jalapeño pizza and basically covered the whole thing in them... at first, I was sweating bullets, my heart was racing like it was at 120 bpm, my head felt like it was on fire, and my stomach was definitely not happy about it.🤣 🤣It lasted maybe two or three days... and yeah, that was that. You'll be fine.
I've been feeling pretty miserable for days now. My mood just tanks whenever the weather gets like this—that gross, depressing limbo between rain and snow. Plus, I guess my meds are starting to really mess with me lately...

Now I'm getting super worked up because I can't sleep, and then the next day I'm just obsessing over everything else. I don't know, I feel like I'm stressing out over stupid stuff.
Look, if something is weighing on you, it isn't "stupid." Just because someone else thinks it's trivial doesn't make it true. Trust me, anyone who deals with this kind of stuff gets it. Yeah, maybe Xanax helps with the sleep, but honestly? If I were you, I'd really try talking to someone to get this sorted out ASAP. I already suggested checking out Mount Sinai, I think the people there are pretty solid, so just give it a shot. I mean, a conversation can't really be worse than how you're feeling right now.🙂

Is it just straight-up gross at first until your body somehow adjusts? Is there even a point to it, or a purpose (if there is one)? How would you describe that "craving" and what does satisfying it actually feel like? Do you ever get hit with the fear of lung cancer or heart disease? Why do people even bother doing this in the first place?
...I’m honestly just a curious soul here, and I’d really appreciate some answers because I definitely don't want to have to figure this out on my own😉...
thanks
😲 damn, that's a lot of questions. I mean, why don't you just light one up yourself and see for yourself? I don't really know why I started, but honestly, it never felt bad to me. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be doing it. Like, in the morning, before I'm even fully awake, I'll just sit on the edge of my bed and light up...😍 😍 it's a perfect feeling, kind of like right after a big meal... I don't even know how to compare it. Imagine being on your period and you're dying for something sweet, but there's nothing around, and then you finally find some chocolate and just shovel it into your mouth... you feel reborn. That's basically what a cigarette is like. And yeah, I'm scared of all those diseases, but I'll worry about that later.☕
I mean, what’s the deal? Why do you even need a psychiatrist? Not everyone is an expert in everything, right? And where are you located? If you’re in NYC, I’d say go see those guys over at Rib👍

I talked to my doctor and she told me to take it slow—like, half a pill daily or maybe one every other day. Are there side effects? And can the illness come back?
First off, go with half a pill every single day. Definitely don't do the every-other-day thing. Do that for a few weeks. It honestly depends on which Lexapro you're on and how long you've been taking it, because sometimes you have to taper by quarters instead of halves. As for side effects, yeah, they happen, but I don't think they're nearly as bad as the withdrawal symptoms from being on the meds. You might deal with psychological stuff, obviously—anxiety, restlessness... depends on what you were treating. But honestly, just try not to overthink it so you don't mess things up with autosuggestion. And, well, it goes without saying... the illness can always come back.
Can someone actually explain what makes cholesterol spike? Mine is sitting slightly above 5—both my HDL and LDL are a bit high—but my doctor keeps telling me it’s fine since they keep lowering the upper limits of what’s considered "normal" anyway... To be honest, I eat way too much junk food and basically live on Coke. Plus, I'm on antidepressants that pretty much tank my metabolism and make me retain water. I'm guessing that's all connected, right...?
I guess I can also say that I honestly don't give a damn what society thinks about my disorder or whether it’s considered "acceptable" by the rest of the Western world... I go to therapy and I take my meds because they actually help me feel better. But here's the thing... today I go to see this doctor, right? A woman who is seeing me for the first time ever and hasn't even said a single word to me yet. She looks over my files and the psychiatrist's notes which basically say "patient is experiencing blah blah blah... due to trauma blah blah... sexual assault blah blah..." And she just rolls her eyes. Even though all I needed was a simple medical excuse, she starts going on and on: "I have two sons and... you know, sometimes girls just send the wrong message by dressing provocatively and looking a certain way..." She just kept talking until she realized I was absolutely fuming. So now I'm sitting here thinking, she's a woman—you'd expect at least some level of empathy, maybe because she could actually put herself in my shoes. Plus, she's a doctor; she should know exactly what happens to people who go through trauma... If she really believes—which was incredibly obvious—that girls in similar situations are somehow to blame, she could've just kept her mouth shut. Instead, she spewed things that were just disgusting and revolting. I feel like an idiot for not realizing sooner that the situation was getting sketchy. I'm taking antidepressants, which shows I'm dealing with mental instability, and she thinks I'm a lost cause just because I actually sought help. It isn't that easy to just brush off other people's opinions just because we think they don't matter. Because if someone whose entire job is treating patients (whatever they may be) holds a negative view toward someone with a mental health condition, then what does that say about people who aren't even remotely informed about these types of disorders? I have this friend who thinks I'm having some kind of psychotic break, when really I just have panic disorder. And yeah, when she gets angry, she snaps and calls me "crazy" or "unhinged." And honestly, that really bugs me because those two things aren't even close.
I’m trying, really, but I just can't wrap my head around some people... here... It's the same story with this friend of mine. We were talking yesterday and she says this guy came inside her four times, and now she's been throwing up every single morning for two weeks, running late to everything, and she's basically clueless on what to do next. I mean, look, if you aren't planning on having a kid and you're irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex, and then a few weeks later everything goes completely sideways... why aren't you reacting sooner?! I just don't get it, seriously.
So, I caught this nasty cold and was stuck with a fever and a totally stuffed-up nose for two days. It’s finally settling down, but man, my cough is absolutely brutal. It was just this dry, hacking cough for a week, so I figured I'd try some Codeine/Dextromethorphan cough syrup. Now I'm coughing up some seriously gross stuff. Thank God I can't actually taste any of it. I smoke, and honestly, I think it actually helps. When I inhale the smoke and blow out through my nose, it clears things out enough to let me breathe, whereas otherwise, everything stays jammed up. Everyone seems to be dealing with this right now, so I guess I'm not really sweating it too much.
Honestly, I actually find it easier when there’s some mucus involved because it makes coughing way less painful Because nothing—and I mean nothing—is worse than that hacking, dry cough So, I guess it serves a purpose or whatever But it's never looked green to me... at least I don't think so, I'm definitely not exactly eager to go inspecting it
Angela Bailey30 said:Are you dealing with a really intense sensation of dry mouth? Any bouts of dizziness? Muscle cramps, perhaps? And how’s your vision—is everything holding up steady, or is it getting blurry?
Whoa, whoa, hold on a second. What am I even looking at here? I’m checking off every single one of those boxes.
I've got a question for you guys... So, I wanted to describe how they handle urine samples at our local hospital in Columbus: you walk into the restroom, grab one of those basic plastic cups sitting on the sink next to the toilet, pee in it, and then just stick a little numbered slip of paper on the side. That's pretty much the whole process. Is that actually sterile? There aren't even lids on the cups, and they just leave everything sitting on a table in the clinic where people are waiting for blood work.
Duh, obviously a woman isn't just asking questions for the sake of it! I wouldn't take what those doctors told you that seriously, honestly. It sounds totally unprofessional. Why don't you just look into some private cardiology clinics? Yeah, I know you have to pay out of pocket, but we're talking about your health here! If this is urgent—and I’d say it pretty much is—you shouldn't be sitting around waiting forever. Just book an appointment and you can probably get seen within a week.
Oh please, give me a break. None of us are actually overweight; I just like telling people I have heavy bones, you know?😳 I’m honestly starting to dig this workout routine. My metabolism feels like it’s finally kicking into gear,🤣 though I can't tell if it's the exercise or just thinking about that blue Walter... I tried to power through a solid 15-20 minute bike ride, but man, I just totally wipe out. Then I end up with massive muscle soreness the next day. It's not like those pro athletes I was watching on TV today, sprinting 5 kilometers without even breaking a sweat.😕For me, just trekking from my bedroom to the stationary bike is enough to make me sweat bullets... Anyway, I’m heading to the coast this Sunday, so I’m aiming to drop about 4 pounds if the weather stays nice. Fingers crossed that summer lasts forever... Gonna go watch some football now; maybe seeing them play will actually inspire me to move.😁
This is such an interesting topic!! Honestly, I’ve thought about dieting, but nothing actually sounds appealing to me. Right now, I just stick to breakfast and lunch, eating whatever I want, and then I just burn it off on my stationary bike and stepper.🙂 Today, I set the timer on the bike for 60 kcal, which took me about 6 minutes and 20 seconds. I guess that means I’m making progress, since last week it took me more than 6 minutes and 45 seconds to hit 60 kcal... Anyway, I do this three times a day along with the stepper—which has this arm attachment thingy—but the main thing is that it isn't exhausting. I really can't face going to a gym, and heaven forbid I try running outside (I think I’d literally collapse after 100m). I know this is going to be a slow process, but at least it means I won't end up with stretch marks.😉 According to my blood type (Type O), I should be eating as much meat as possible, specifically red meat.🤮 🤮 No way in hell... So far, I’ve tried hospital diets three times (all ended miserably—down 5 lbs, and on the last day, I actually passed out), some 20-day thing where you can't mix certain foods together and all that nonsense... AND ON THE 20TH DAY, YOU JUST EAT CANDY ALL DAY, so you're right back where you started.🙄 In the end, I just lost all motivation for any kind of diet because I love sweets and food in general way too much.😁 Hang in there, fellow hungry souls. Just imagine how great it'll feel when we can finally step onto a scale without being terrified of what it says.👍 👍
