Everything about it works and the movie itself is solid, though I can't quite wrap my head around that scene where the eye gets ripped out... I’m still struggling to figure out what the director was actually trying to convey with that...
Rita said:You can always play it more casually, without all the heavy hitting. People call it flag football; they just play it out in the local parks on weekends, kids, older folks, whoever... The concept is basically the same, except instead of tackling and wearing full pads, you just clip a flag to your waist, and the goal is to pull the opponent's flag rather than leveling them. You don't need a massive roster for it, which makes it easy to get a game going.
You really only need about six people for that, three on each side...
Heh, you’d have to round up twenty-one players, grab all the gear, and then find a place to actually play when there isn't a single decent turf field left in Washington, D.C.... + most of them don't even know the rules...

That Ventura guy was some kind of wrestler, right... I had no idea he was actually the governor of Minnesota, Americans really are something else... Anyway, that actor who played Fireball is supposedly the greatest football player in history, though the guy was already in his fifties when he starred in the Running Man...
I just can't wrap my head around why a director as talented as Sam Raimi would waste his time on projects like Darkman or Xena... I guess some things will always remain a mystery to me 👎
As far as his Evil Dead films go, though, you have to hand it to him; they're easily among the best horror franchises out there 🙂
Where are you guys actually sourcing your DVDs from, and where does it make the most sense financially... I'm wondering what the shipping costs look like if I were to order something from Germany or the United Kingdom instead.
The Deer Hunter... The Godfather... One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest... The first outing in the Nightmare on Elm Street series... just one of those films that stays with you, even if you're trying your hardest to forget it... Leaving Las Vegas... The Shining... Die Hard... Evil Dead II... Goodfellas... The Thing... ...

I did, and I’m sticking to my guns... the truth is that Keanu Reeves was never really much of an actor; sure, he has his moments in certain films, but he isn't the type of performer who’s going to walk onto a stage and pick up an Oscar one day. If you sit through the movie again and actually pay attention to the dialogue, you'll see that everyone else holds their own, except for the parts involving neov... Keanu Reeves just comes across as far too cold...
