Honestly, all this bending over is driving me insane.
Stuff keeps sliding under the furniture, and I just wave my hand at it like,
whatever, I’ll grab it once I actually have a kid on my hands...😬
The worst part is my fingers feel like total sausages lately, so everything just slips right out of my grip.😢
God, if I could just bend over or squat without feeling like I'm breaking, I probably would've been pregnant for a hundred years by now.😁
Egg yolks for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·

Why bother choking down raw eggs when a cooked yolk tastes way better?
Some people just take their masochism way too far...

Probably because he saw it in Rambo 1. 😁
It’s mostly passed for me now, but back during the second quarter,
I couldn't even walk into a Target without starting a fight,
everything just felt like a personal attack...
🤣
hollowmarlin49 said:I honestly can't believe how much the cellulite caught me off guard during pregnancy. I’ve always been a curvy girl and never really had an issue—maybe just a tiny bit on my eyelids if I’m being picky—so I figured, hey, at least I won't have to stress about it once the baby arrives, right? Yeah, right. It can always get way worse 😲 Now my legs look like two bumpy tree trunks... they're all swollen and just covered in this crap, totally lost their shape 🙂

That caught me off guard too.
I swear, my cellulite actually developed its own damn cellulite during pregnancy 😬
Oh my God, you're so proud just because you're having a son 🤣
If your husband wasn't some high-profile heir to a massive fortune 😬maybe it wouldn't be such a huge deal.
So this kid, probably around 30, had the nerve to ask if he could cut in front of me at the Medicare office today.
You seriously wouldn't believe 🙏
There I am, sitting next to this pregnant woman who’s clearly about to pop, just waiting our turn because everyone's there to file their disability paperwork,
you know, dealing with whatever aches and pains people have... maybe their situation is harder than mine having to sit here,
but then this genius strolls up and goes: "Can I just drop off one quick paper?"
As if we're all sitting here waiting for a gynecological exam 🙄
Like we don't all have exactly one piece of paper to hand over.
I told him, nice and polite, that if being pregnant doesn't get you priority, then there’s really no point in letting him skip the line.
rustyrider20 said:Man, one guy actually made my skin crawl... he showed up at the clinic with his wife, who was clearly past her due date—huge belly, visibly struggling just to stay upright... there wasn't a nurse at the desk at that moment, so she's stuck standing right there at the counter, and this absolute jerk just sits himself down in the waiting room chair... seriously, gross. How can you be such a pathetic excuse for a man?!...
It would have been the decent thing to do if he’d told her to sit down while he stood there by the desk...

She really lucked out with him.
And as for those husbands hanging around OB-GYN clinics, I’d unashamedly tell them to get up.
What are you guys so afraid of?
Make *them* feel the awkwardness for once.
I’ve been playing the system a little bit too, honestly... just taking advantage of the priority lanes whenever I have to deal with the hospital, Medicare, or even the local police station where you usually end up rotting in a waiting room for two hours.
I don't expect anyone to cut me in line at the grocery store or anything, though. I don't feel bad about waiting my turn for a few minutes when it's just retail...
hiddenscout362 said:Does this topic specifically mean "while pregnant," or can it apply to the period before you're even expecting?

If it's the latter, I find people who constantly corner me to ask when they'll see a baby or why I'm not having kids yet absolutely infuriating. 🙄 Honestly, that kind of intrusive, rude meddling in someone else's private life is just 👎

I always dodge that question myself, because you never really know what someone is going through behind closed doors.
vividhawk87 said:You're quoting me, and just to be clear, I've simply always imagined what it would be like to have and raise a son. Maybe it's because I grew up mostly surrounded by women and spent so much time looking after my two younger sisters (one is two years younger, the other is nine). Every sentence I write here is backed by a real story or situation, so please don't jump to conclusions.
Sometimes we get so used to a specific scenario or mental image that anything else throws us off balance, and it takes a little while to adjust to the new reality. For my part, I am absolutely overjoyed 😍, even if I'm still a bit dazed and need a little more time to shift my mindset toward all the different aspects of raising a daughter 🙂 🙂 🙂
I have to admit, I'm doing great so far, and I couldn't be happier!!!!!
And I just absolutely adore my little girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes, thanks for labeling my perspective as primitive...

Man, Torma totally misread the situation. 🙂
I was crying my eyes out for years when my OBGYN told me I was carrying twin boys. And all my life, I just wanted a girl 😁
Now, I've actually gotten used to the idea of boys, but if my doctor changes her mind on Tuesday, it's gonna be another round of disappointment. 😁
At the end of the day, the most important thing for all of us is that the baby is alive and healthy......
but let's be real, we all have that secret little wish about what gender they'll be 😍
redpilot37 said:People really surprised me today... the decency is just gone. No courtesy toward pregnant women, nothing. You're standing there waiting in line and people act like you're invisible. Then you've got these others hovering, trying to cut in because they're so desperate to grab whatever they're buying. Like, seriously? wtf?😕

Being pregnant doesn't give you any kind of edge anymore. If you try to step ahead, you practically have to announce, "Hey, I'm pregnant, I get priority." And honestly, I don't feel like doing that. Look, man, if you can't see it, you just can't see it.🤣

And my neighbor... oh boy.🤦The other day she actually asked me if the baby had "come back to life."🙄
I told her: It’s been alive since the start, T. We even felt the first movements around seven weeks, though it was barely noticeable then. God, I hate that old-school way of putting things... "come back to life."🤣

See, I actually had the exact opposite experience. It was one of those things that actually made my pregnancy a little easier.
People usually let me cut ahead at the checkout, and in hospital waiting rooms, being pregnant basically meant I got priority every single time.
I remember this one day, a lady processing paperwork for blood work and glucose tests basically barked at two old guys who tried to cut in front of me and told them, "Nope, pregnant women go first."
Even at Microsoft, the cashier will usually pull me out of line and let me go first... everyone's been pretty sweet to me.
Sometimes it's even a little awkward because I really don't mind waiting... it's not like standing up is killing me right now.
🙂
Amanda Davis12 said:It honestly bugs me how some people just don't seem to realize they shouldn't be dumping heavy tragedies on someone who's pregnant—like, I'll be grabbing coffee with a friend and she starts telling me all about her recent miscarriage, and I'm just sitting there thinking, "Are you actually telling me this right now?"... If I’d had more sense, I probably would've just stood up and walked out... It left me feeling so shaken I couldn't even sleep all night.🤷

This caught me totally off guard too.
Jesus, I can't tell you how many horror stories I've heard about failed twin pregnancies.
Until I started getting sick and basically telling everyone to go screw themselves for bringing it up. 😁
And honestly, the sheer amount of negative comments regarding my twins surprised me:
just constant stuff like, "oh you poor thing," "enjoy sleep while you can because you'll never again," "you're gonna be huge," "how are you gonna handle two?", "you have no idea what's coming," "it's gonna be double the work," "you'll neglect your husband," and... well, you get the idea...
Look, maybe some of that stuff is actually true, but if you don't feel the need to say something nice to a pregnant woman, then honestly, screw you.
We've got enough fears and paranoia on our own without other people piling it on top of us...
🙂
I mean, people can make up whatever nonsense they want, but this whole thing about occasional binge eating? That part's actually legit.
Just enough to give your metabolism a little kickstart...

I have no clue what you guys are even talking about, everything's working just fine on my end 😍

I usually whip up some couscous as a side for chicken cooked in yogurt. 🙂
Basically, I just sauté some chicken thighs with red onions and keep adding broth until those onions get all soft and translucent.
Right before it's done, I stir in some yogurt or sour cream—whatever you're feeling that day.
If you're into mushrooms, throw them in there too... personally, they aren't really my thing.
Look, you’ve got a cute, healthy baby, a husband who’s actually decent... and let's be real, you used to be a total knockout. You'll find your groove again, I'm sure... 🙂

She’ll get moving eventually. Honestly, just the fact that she actually started this thread means she’s already decided things aren't staying the way they are...

Just get moving, seriously, anything at all... it’s the only way to break this funk. 🙂
Angela Wright said:🙂...honestly, I’m sorry, but just like everything else in this life, this too shall pass. You'll get through it and you'll be okay again. You won't be the same person, obviously, but you'll be fine.
Make sure you grab every single second you can with her to tell her how much she means to you. I used to say it to my mom all the time, but looking back now... it feels like it wasn't enough. It's never enough... 😢
Stay strong.

🙂Thanks 😢
She actually told me she loved me for the first time today. We aren't exactly the "I love you" type of family. But I always knew it was there...
And I told her back.
It's so hard... but it's such a beautiful thing when you actually have the time to say goodbye.
So, I guess I’m joining this thread too.
I’m not really looking for any specific advice or anything...
My mom is dying and there’s just zero help available here 😢
We’re basically just sitting around waiting for the end to come.
Honestly, I don't even know why I'm posting this...
Maybe just looking for a few words of encouragement.
Wishing everyone else still out there fighting plenty of strength, patience, and a good outcome this Nov 🙂
