Why even stress about it? You’re never going to make everyone happy, I guess. Right now, the left wing is just completely losing its mind, but I remember back when the balance between left and right was actually decent. Back then, you could actually have a real conversation, and those trolls who would show up with the exact same tired posts all the time... well, they just got shut down by people messing with them. Nowadays, it feels like those are the only ones posting on most of the "serious" threads. If the owner only cares about clickbait and engagement numbers, then honestly, there isn't much to complain about, because nothing is going to change until those clicks start dropping.
Seriously though, someone please help this guy out and tell him there's actually an option to just wipe all ten entries at once. He’s being totally lazy and basically wants someone else to do the heavy lifting for him instead.
I mean, I guess if a moderator is super active and really taking a side in a thread, they probably shouldn't be the one moderating it... maybe? It would make more sense to have a different moderator step in—someone who isn't actually part of the debate. They could always just check in with their colleague to get the full story first, I suppose. Doing that might, like, cut down on at least half the arguments people make about bias in the first place.
I mean, the fact that people are calling those special Olympics types celebrities—and even writers, for goodness sake—just proves how much we really needed this discussion in the first place. It’s just not right to shut down an entire conversation because of one single person. I guess... if it helps, I can speak for everyone here and promise that nobody will even acknowledge her if she shows up in a new thread. We'll just let it be.
So, it’s settled. Nancy Martin36, neoncyclist90, and coastalwolf87 have to show skin, and then the thread is coming back. There’s no negotiating this, really. No backing down. Let's go, no more playing around.
I was kind of hoping someone could maybe just scrub those controversial parts from that thread and let them back in... because, honestly, I think it was literally just one person who had an issue with it, and nobody else did. I mean, that person can just ignore whatever they don't like, right? It doesn't seem fair to blow up a friendly little joke and ruin the vibe for everyone else.
Yeah, Lemmy’s gone. That’s really it. I guess rock music just doesn't have its foundation anymore, you know? It feels like these newer generations... I don't know, maybe they'll look back at Nickelback and think *that* was what real rock sounded like at the start of the millennium.
I mean, I thought watching John Wick was actually pretty fun... I guess they could have leaned into the absurdity a bit more, you know? Like, make it even wilder? But honestly, compared to this, even that Tai Chi stuff—man, that was a total masterpiece. 😁
I honestly can't help but feel like bluecyclist64 has basically nuked so many political threads with all that extreme, radical activism... and look, I'm not saying I support it. I just think they need to sit tight and chill out for a bit until they realize they aren't in some high-stakes battleground state where everything is life or death, and maybe they shouldn't get so worked up every single time things don't go exactly their way.
So, like, what exactly are you even complaining about? Seriously. I mean, look at why I actually got sent to the Ban corner for trolling—do you honestly feel like my post was even trolling? I don't know, maybe? But if you think it was, then just grit your teeth and let's just get on with it.
boldwalker12 said:So, you're saying the swastika and the cross are basically the same thing? That kind of logic doesn't really help your case, I guess.
I mean, the swastika was used to openly murder gay people and subject them to these horrific, inhumane experiments... so if someone is looking for a "provocation," I suppose being run over by a car makes for a more fitting target than just dealing with someone who doesn't want to be around you. But hey, that's just my two cents, anyway. Also, I feel like people throw the term "homophobic" around way too easily these days, maybe.
Not trying to take sides here, I just wanted to mention how pathetic that icon looks once someone starts coloring it in. Is it meant to be a provocation? Yeah, probably. But does it actually have any impact on you or your faith? Not really. So, I wouldn't sweat it too much; it’s survived all sorts of vandalism for thousands of years without us needing to step in 😉
Betty Sanders said:Lol... wait, so that's what you guys are actually talking about! 🤣 I mean, honestly... what kind of loser actually swears by that? I don't know. It just seems so... I guess you could say desperate? Maybe I'm being too harsh, but seriously, who does that? 🤣
So, like, most of them—maybe like 95%—are just those typical gyms, you know? But I don't really count those because they just have a David Beckham poster hanging on the wall or something. And honestly, that doesn't make it a real gym. Not that I'm David, obviously. I guess. 😁
Matthew Alvarez77 said:Who knows, maybe you're living out on Antarctica or something... Because look, here in Washington, D.C., for example, at my gym, like 95 percent of the crowd uses candy supplements. And I mean everyone—the newbies, the intermediates, even the pro bodybuilders who probably actually know how this stuff works.
But like, WHY though? I see guys at my gym all the time lugging around five different tubs of powder, working out way longer than I do, yet we end up doing the exact same workout... except after we finish, I just head off to boxing while they totally crash.
Matthew Alvarez77 said:So, I was reading up on this earlier, and... I guess there actually are some studies out there that seem to support using dextrose—you know, basically just sugar—as part of a supplement routine. It’s kind of interesting, really. Like, maybe it's not all bad? There's research suggesting it can actually be beneficial in certain contexts. I don't know, it's hard to say for sure without looking at everything, but it seems like there's some legitimate science backing the idea of using it. 😉 Brooo 👍
Then you’ve got those guys who swear by the whole "just one banana" thing... like that's all the fuel you need right after a workout. They tell you to just head home, throw some quick steak on the grill, maybe toss a tomato on the side, and call it a day. I guess that works for some people, bro. 😉
