World Handball Championship - THE FINALS in Other Sports ·
What else can I really say about it... honestly, screw any sport where the World Cup final ends up being held in Qatar. ☕
A few months back, I posted here saying that Hillary Clinton was a "three-dimensional personality," only to have someone scrub it from the board immediately.

So, it looks like absolutely nothing has changed...

The moderator-censors are still out there, playing bodyguard for all the "sacred cows."

And they remain incredibly consistent when it comes to hunting down users...

Honestly, this place feels pretty depressing.

A total relic of the past.

It isn't necessarily about the insult itself, but more about the act of using a custom tag to facilitate that kind of behavior...

Unfortunately, not every moderator shares that perspective, especially over in the American football boards...

I've seen just about everything on this forum, but I don't think I've ever witnessed such blatant, sadistic behavior being silently sanctioned by the moderation team...

It’s truly hitting rock bottom...

Well, if you don't have a clue either, then I guess it makes me wonder why you were even given a moderator badge in the first place...🤷

I suppose there must be some admin somewhere who actually understands how this works...

Ryan Vaughn7 said:I don't have the authority to just lift a penalty on my own, since that's a collective decision made by the entire moderation team. You received this penalty because every single moderator here agrees that you're nothing more than a provocateur and a troll. And if you look at the other users on the forum—which you've seen firsthand on several occasions lately—they feel exactly the same way about you. That Kartonijada mention in your profile is all the proof anyone needs, and nobody is going to touch that penalty until further notice...

The only actual evidence here consists of the links I've already posted right here in this thread...

It’s funny how one person gets penalized for mentioning Serbenfica, yet when someone posts something clearly Mexican-style, they get nothing but laughs, applause, and pats on the back...

Truly "top-tier" moderation, if you ask me...

Besides, plenty of people on this forum see you for exactly what you are—you know what I mean—yet somehow, you're still sitting there with a moderator title...

What I'm trying to say is that having a different perspective on a person or a topic shouldn't be treated as a reason to shut someone out of a conversation...

Quite the opposite, really...

This was supposed to be an actual community forum...

And the mods should be looking out for the users, not acting like bodyguards for some damn football club from Portugal...

I suppose we'll just have to wait for the oversight committee for editorial standards to review their legitimacy and decide if they need to be stripped of their platform if necessary...

What is prohibited on the Forum?
Violating American laws
Violating generally accepted civilized norms
Insulting anyone based on any grounds (race, nationality, religion, age, gender...)
Instigating fights and insults
Swearing
Copyright infringement
Posting pornographic or erotic content, including suggestive nudity, or linking to such content (Google policy)
Advertising (unless approved by the Marketing Forum)
Chatting (outside of designated chat topics)
Impersonation
Doxing or revealing other users' personal information
Being off-topic
Harassing other users
SHOUTING (CAPS LOCK)
Acting stupid

You actually just broke that bolded rule which was established by the owner of the Forum himself...

But then again, maybe you didn't... 🤷

And you aren't even defending yourself, you're just trying to shift the blame onto other people. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since it's pretty obvious you don't have a real defense for what you did.
Your bias remains, no matter how many other users' posts you try to dig up to prove your point; when it comes to actual football, you've made your stance very clear.

Right.

Heaven forbid someone from the outside tries to stir up this "football swamp," someone who actually brings a different perspective or a different way of looking at the game. It’s clearly vital that the people who spent their time calling me "Mexican-style," "obsessed," and a "fool" are allowed to keep posting, all while being shielded by the almighty football administration...

The links speak for themselves, so there's really no need for me to pile on more evidence. You all sat there in silence while they were silencing me, without lifting a finger to stop it, and then once they completely crushed me, you picked me up off the floor and tossed me out of the "club" with a lifetime ban. You guys are truly powerful, acting in such perfect unison... 🙂

Eric Hernandez said:You constantly derail every single thread you touch... A week before that ban, you were warned—along with everyone else on that topic—to stop arguing about how some mindless idiot is covering FC Barcelona when they're full of Mexicans instead of Sevilla FC where Ivan Rakitić plays... and then you just had to drag it toward politics too... So next Thursday, you just kept doing exactly what you wanted as if nothing happened at all... It's just classic you...
And let’s not forget how your trolling during the Champions League a couple of days prior went completely unpunished, which honestly just helped push the decision regarding the partials...

Football has become an unreadable mess of trolling for a long time now, mostly thanks to those forum members who act like the moderators' little buddies...

They seem to be allowed to do whatever they want, which I demonstrated quite clearly with the links I posted above... whereas for someone like me, who only pops in from time to time, apparently, nothing is permitted...

The fact that I was being humiliated and insulted without anyone stepping in also points toward a complete catastrophe in terms of moderation, though naturally, you didn't bother addressing that part...

Besides, it feels a bit ridiculous to talk about trolling on the PDF football forum when almost every single discussion there gets hijacked by talk about Zdravko Mamić...

But I won't ramble on too much, because the links I shared earlier really say everything that needs to be said...

In this eyes, I am the "Mexican-style" one, the "idiot," and the "insecure one," while you all get to be the "brilliant moderators"...

I am asking the admins to please lift my partial ban from the soccer section.

It all started after I made a little joke where I called Ben Affleck actually Serbenfik, and then I poked some fun at CBS for broadcasting the exact same game twice instead of showing Sevilla FC and Ivan Rakitić... and because of that, one of the users actually called for a moderator to ban me.

The specific question being asked was:

Where are you guys now, what were you talking about earlier when you said the Juve game would be better?

So I replied:

There they are on CBS.

Celebrating Serbenfik's victory.

Then someone calls for a moderator...

I really hope a smart moderator shows up to hand out some penalties for this nonsense.

And then Edge appears, and hands me a partial ban.

He didn't issue any penalties for commenting on the moderation itself, of course.

Nor did he penalize the insults directed at my username, or the betting talk accompanied by smiley faces.

In doing so, the moderator Edge broke several fundamental forum rules while simultaneously allowing other users to be insulted, which isn't surprising given that this same moderator personally insulted me on a different thread a few months back, calling me a "pathological troll"...

I should note that I haven't insulted a single user here, whereas insults like these, occurring on that very same thread, have gone completely unpunished.

You neurotic mess, damn you, Mexico!

Idiots always exist, what can you do. We can't kill them, we can only ban them.

There is so much garbage written in the soccer section, and my comments are nothing compared to it, especially considering I only post there occasionally after interesting games and things like that... but in the soccer section, it seems everything is allowed for some people, while others get nothing at all.

I don't find myself posting on this forum nearly as much as I used to, and honestly, a huge part of that comes down to the sadistic way some of the moderators handle things... It feels like they still haven't grasped the idea that a community exists because of its members, not because of a handful of mods, nor is the soul of this place defined by just one perspective...

But I won't dwell on that too long, because I’d rather circle back to the start and demand they scrap those partial bans in soccer, since there isn't a single logical reason why I should be penalized for slightly tweaking the name of a club from Portugal when practically every other thread on this site is filled with people talking about the scandals surrounding the owners at Benfica...
Bradley Barrett2 said:The anti-fascists fought to build America, not a separate nation.

The fact that there was a Socialist Republic of America inside that entity doesn't change the goal. By that logic, should we say we were founded on the battles of Ban Jelačić against the Austro-Canadian Empire just because he unified the lands? 😁

If it weren't for that specific era, maybe we wouldn't be stuck with this mess of a country today.

No, that’s just not how it works.

They were actually out there fighting to establish some kind of intergalactic federation, if you really think about it...

If that federation actually came into existence tomorrow, they’d all just pivot and claim they were fighting for that very purpose during World War II...

That was just the kind of visionaries they were, I suppose...

And their children, too...

gentlesailor17 said:I mean, why are the two of us even pretending to have a debate when we both know what's really going on here.

For me, it's more about the lack of actual reforms and how they're handling that hospital merger analysis. Honestly, the incompetence just gets to me, and don't even get me started on the waiting lists. You don't seem to write much about stuff like that, though. And man, this kind of mess happens every single day at all sorts of levels.

That's just pure paranoia, man.

It’s called being paranoid...

What worries me, personally, is the total lack of actual reform and how they're handling this whole hospital merger analysis. It's the sheer incompetence that gets to me, especially looking at those endless waiting lists...

And you honestly think these reforms will be handled by people who don't even understand the laws within their own backyard? 😍

You don't really write about the heavy stuff much. But things like this happen on all sorts of levels, every single day.

Just because I don't post about it doesn't mean I'm not watching everything unfold...

And just because these things happen every day doesn't make them any kind of normal...

Let alone an excuse for why nobody should be stepping down from their positions...

The real issue, if you ask me, is that there just aren't any boundaries left anymore...

Incompetence has become such a standard part of the landscape that it barely even draws a second glance...

Much less prompts anyone to actually demand a resignation or offer one up themselves...

It isn't just about theft being a sign of immorality...

A person can lose their integrity in so many other ways, and this current Administration is doing a perfect job of demonstrating exactly that...

It’s happened with other administrations too, just in different ways.

But honestly, the real issue is something else entirely. Though, this probably isn't even your thing to dive into regarding 🙂

Sure, let's just go ahead and downplay the whole situation and the very thing that started it all...☕

Just try to imagine if those cabinet members were actually working for you at your own private company...

How many of them would you actually be able to tolerate?...

But you see, the members of the Administration are essentially our employees, because the American people handed them that job during the election...

So please, stop spreading this nonsense that the government sits above the people...

gentlesailor17 said:Man, nobody would lose their job over an example like that.

Even in Holland, they had a rule ruled unconstitutional, and you don't see anyone calling for heads to roll or demanding resignations. They just wrote a new one and moved on.

That’s literally why the whole constitutionality check exists in the first place.

So yeah, go find some other example.

Did Holland actually rely on a law that isn't even valid anymore?

I honestly wonder if you realize the sheer level of incompetence, ignorance, and total lack of capability being shown when a government department tries to cite a law that hasn't been in effect for ages...
When is it too late to resign? in Close to Politics ·
We’re all just sitting here watching this endless parade of political nonsense unfold, yet it seems like nobody has an ounce of dignity left to actually step down when they mess up.

It’s not even that the public is demanding resignations anymore, nor are any officials offering them... it feels like the very concept of accountability has just evaporated into thin air.

When you have a leadership style like this, there's absolutely zero sense of responsibility left in the room.

And if that's the case, how are we ever supposed to actually make any meaningful progress as a country?

I don't even think it's worth listing all the failures and blunders of various cabinet members—because in any other functional democracy, those people would have been forced out of office ages ago, or better yet, they would have had the grace to exit public life permanently on their own accord...

Just look at the most recent debacle where the Supreme Court had to strike down an Administration mandate regarding mandatory shifts for doctors in our hospitals.

The Secretary basically issued a directive based on a legal provision that hasn't even been valid since 2006. 😂

I mean, honestly, does there exist anywhere else in the world where a Cabinet Secretary can just pretend to be incompetent, or perhaps genuinely act like they have no clue how our laws work?

And it isn't just the Secretary, either... it’s the entire Department that seems to be operating in a vacuum.

Seriously, where is the line drawn nowadays for when an American politician should be expected to submit an irrevocable resignation?

Does that line even exist anymore...
James Patel20 said:Moving right along with these unwritten rules...

Edge on politics is handing out 100 points to anyone who uses the phrase "for home ready" in the context of the war, justifying it by claiming it’s nothing but "fascist rhetoric."

It really feels like this insults not just the user being penalized, but so many veterans as well...

And Edge keeps up the exact same style on the politics board, shutting down the whole discussion about Simunic and ZDS with a single sentence:

Enough with this fascist apologetics. Closed.

So, basically, this moderator is pushing his own narrow-minded view—that ZDS is strictly a fascist greeting—as if it were an unwritten rule of the forum itself...

Now, look, Edge certainly has every right to hold his own opinion regarding ZDS, but as a moderator, labeling every single argument presented as "fascist apologetics" is just a massive insult to many users, and even more so to the veterans who actually used ZDS during the war...

Given that the people in this video were essentially busy covering for this moderator, maybe it would be appropriate for him to offer them an apology...

I'll leave him to judge that for himself... ☕

As for me, I actually ended up getting a warning from Roko back when I posted that Zoran Milanović was being an absolute idiot. 🤣

And right after that, PL decided to chime in with his own dissenting opinion, basically saying he didn't agree with the decision to flag my post at all.

So, if you look at it that way, PL is just staying true to his guns regarding that particular stance—which, in my book, is the right way to be—and I find myself completely backing him up on it.

Because of that, I’d like to propose a bit of a middle ground...

Why don't we just let Roko go ahead and issue the warning for that specific post? 🤣

That way, we allow Roko to remain consistent with how he handles moderation, which seems fair enough to me...☕
This thread has been sitting here for days, and honestly, it’s just an eyesore at this point:

Brainwashing kids with fascist propaganda—glamorizing extremist ideologies in cartoons! 🤣

And you actually have the nerve to suggest, Charles Fox10, that my topic was just some kind of "Annual Award for the Greatest Anti-Fascist"? It was totally unjustified to lock this down.

Come on, don't play games with me. 😉

I’m not saying that wasn't your intention, but you're really making me look like a complete idiot here... 🙂

So, either unlock the thread or at least offer some sort of constructive way forward.

Thanks in advance.
Come on, Charles Fox10, I’m really counting on you here because I am genuinely stuck on how to label those nominees...

Maybe just call them "anti-fascists," using quotation marks to keep things a bit ambiguous...

Actually, if I recall correctly, that’s exactly how I phrased the topic title earlier, putting "anti-fascists" in quotes...

If you happen to have a better way to put it, please don't hesitate to share...

Or perhaps someone else in the group might have a thought, since I'm definitely open to any suggestions that come my way...

Thanks in advance for the help...
Charles Fox10 said:My moderator note explaining why I locked this thread is still right where I left it.

Maybe try approaching this from a different angle without resorting to labels...

Honestly, I think the people actually nominated would probably wear that "ultimate anti-fascist" label with a sense of pride...🙂

But then you have to wonder how we’re supposed to describe the folks who spot fascism in every single shadow, while you're over here insisting it doesn't exist at all...

Are they just schizophrenic anti-fascists? 🙂

Is that how we put it?

Should we hand out an annual award for schizophrenic anti-fascism? 🙂

To be perfectly honest, that sounds even more fitting to me, but hey, you're the one in charge...

Go ahead then, give me a suggestion for a better thread title...🙂
Why on earth would you close the thread titled "Annual Award for the Greatest Anti-Fascist"?

Your reasoning just doesn't really hold water for me, especially since your claim that there aren't any fascists present isn't being backed up by anyone nominated in the discussion who seems to think otherwise...

So, I’m asking you, please, just reopen the thread and let us finish this process properly so we can carry out the vote in a truly democratic way...

Thanks in advance for considering this.
