No worries, I'll lock this thread down.

Tomorrow.

But what happens when someone actually violates the labor rules at that specific job?

I mean, are we really going to pretend we don't see the blatant conflict of interest here? Is it even remotely possible to serve as a lead journalist for an info-political news program while simultaneously running for President of the United States or any other political office?

Or are we all just playing dumb?

If Hlo were to try something like this, they would be torn apart in a digital lynching within minutes...

Actually, why am I even surprised? We see people cheering on Mr. Grubišić for voicing his political opinions, yet the second a priest steps into a sacristy to do the same, everyone loses their minds.

It's just classic left-wing "principle" in full swing.

You really aren't getting this.🤷

If you're threatening to cancel a show forever just because they want to run a campaign—effectively killing their career—that's not right.

But if you tell Dennis, "Look, you can run, but you can't host this specific show during the campaign because it's common sense; find something else of equal weight," then that's a different story.

Clear enough?

And please, drop the whole "liberal" obsession already. Try to post a few times on the same thread without mentioning John.

Are we really talking about scrapping the Latin alphabet while using Latin script in the campaign?

Who cares if he's running for office? But you just can't go around threatening people at their jobs.
I heard a rumor—not sure if it’s an ultimatum or just a race to see if we lose the Latin alphabet—but if they're actually ditching it, then things are getting messy.
If that's the case, it just isn't right.
It’s like handball, really. You’ve got two on the field, one defending, one attacking, plus two assistants, someone watching the coaches, a delegate, a referee supervisor, and official camera crews. At this rate, the whole crew will be rolling up to matches in tiny shuttle buses.

Athletes generally have until they're about 32 before the clock runs out. Naturally, everyone wants to make sure they actually see some decent money before retirement. If you can find an easier path to that goal by starting your career in the States instead of somewhere more restrictive, the math is pretty simple.

I don't really frequent that area, but lurking through the threads, I've noticed the same thing. I'm not trying to make a huge deal out of it, but you have my vote—it just seems perfectly logical to me.

Michael Adams2 said:Well, yeah, obviously it's a shocker to you! Just like how anything involving those Clintonian cushy seats would be a "pleasant surprise" for them... so I guess it's no wonder you guys found that whole embarrassment with the French disability thing to be such a lovely little surprise too.

It seems strange to you that a 70-year-old man doesn't know a foreign language, but I don't see the issue. In the States, you have elderly folks chatting away in multiple languages. At least he attempted some words; that takes a certain kind of courage. It feels like Francis was quite the polyglot, and despite his rambling, I'll always have a soft spot for him. Sometimes you just have to respect the effort, regardless of the outcome.
Watch out for older politicians from developing nations when they try to speak a second language—you'll realize our local "polyglots" aren't actually doing much better than them. And since someone mentioned the Pope, I might as well weigh in on that too.

I mean, seriously, what wouldn't those Clinton-style bureaucrats spin as some "pleasant surprise"? If he’d just dropped his pants and taken a dump right in the middle of a board meeting, they’d probably find a way to act delighted about it. It's crazy how everyone's acting all hyped up over some kid babbling nonsense that sounded neither fancy nor even remotely coherent. Like, dude, nobody knew what he was talking about!

We clearly aren't going to see eye to eye, despite all these years, but no matter how you slice it, this was a shock. As for those bureaucrats, you can take their opinions and throw them in the trash.

The French element was unexpected enough, but conducting the session in French? That’s a whole different level of surprise. I have to admit, though, it was a pleasant one. Looking at the footage, it seems half the crowd didn't even have their headsets on for the simultaneous translation, so perhaps it actually sounded decent.

What a load of nonsense. Anyone caught driving drunk needs to be thrown behind bars for at least 15 days and slapped with a fine of at least $3.25. As for repeat offenders? Straight to jail for 30 days and permanent vehicle forfeiture, regardless of whose name is on the title.
Comments regarding the cops who just sat there while some idiot drove off are irrelevant; those "professionals" belong in a job center, not on the force.
Regarding that gentleman, the only word for him is moron—and that’s being generous.
I’ve truly had enough of these alcoholics behind the wheel. This needs to end, and fast.
Why bother worrying about their drama? Just tuck that book away somewhere and forget about it.

Silver is an incredible achievement, truly, though I can't help but feel we left something on the table. It’s a shame about the officiating in the finals—there were legitimate grievances there. In a championship game like this, you expect neutrality; if they had just called it straight, there wouldn't be any debate. A real pity.

In the NBA, intent is what triggers a two-minute penalty.
In the NBA, an accidental kick is called a nine-foot violation.
In the NBA, you can't really call it clumsiness or just bad luck—especially when the opponent wasn't even close to contesting the play.
They were quick to judge Vukic, yet they were the last ones who should have been passing judgment.

James Campbell2 said:Look, I think you guys are seriously overreacting. Sure, the refs blew it on the calls against Čupić, and maybe even Lacković, but two massive errors back-to-back? That’s just bad. As for Vukić, I’m not 100% certain, but from where I was sitting, he definitely touched the ball. And Lino? He absolutely deserved that ejection for acting like a complete idiot. But let’s be real—remember how many calls went the other way for Team Denmark? Traveling, fouls, the whole nine yards. Even that blatant error at the start, where they called a foul on Dominiković instead of giving them a penalty shot... that was huge. The real issue wasn't just the officiating; it was that they missed calls against us during the most critical moments, and when you combine that with Lino’s stupidity, that's what decided the game.

You're right, word for word, but there's always a "but." The officiating errors against the Danes were spread out from the first to the fiftieth minute, whereas almost all the mistakes against us happened in those final seven minutes. Those specific errors cost us two goals directly.
When you lose clean points and then see Vukić get stripped of a clear ball, things spiral. Instead of being tied in the last four minutes, we're suddenly down by three.
Add the coach's circus act at the end, which earned him a four-minute suspension, and the picture is pretty clear.
Between the Danes holding out until the 60th minute, the refs failing us at the 10-minute mark, and our own coach blowing it for four minutes, we actually lucked out.

All in all, my deepest respect to the players. 🙏🙏🙏
